EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Crash

1)Headlights. I have had issues with my headlights since day one. They are so dull I upgraded the bulbs with the brightest LED bulbs available which did not help my legs did not get any brighter, I've had my headlights adjusted four different times which still did not help. I drive with my brights on anytime I have to drive at night and I still can hardly see anything on the road. It is not my eyes that are bad because multiple people have said the same thing and no one can tell me why my lights are so dime. This year alone I have replaced both my headlamp bulbs and turn signal bulb (left side) a total of 4 times because they have busted. I have ran into 3 ditches because I can't see anything. NOW, I do not drive at night and have lost work as a result. 2)Wheels. I have lost 4 front wheel tires while driving down the interstate in the last 2 years. I've purchased 8 tires during this time &have replaced all the broken lugnuts ea time. The lugnuts all snapped completely in 1/2 when my tires came off. I've been towed ea time and have endangered the life of others as well as my own & now I do not drive long distances & try to avoid going over 45 miles/hrs in fear of this happening again. As a result of loosing my tires while driving on interstate, I've replace right hub assembly 2 times &eft one time in last 2 years. On the electrical, tire, wheels, head lights & bulb replacements and repairs I have spent thousands .I was excited about getting my 1st dodge, but the dangerous, expensive, and horrible experience from my dodge has not only limited my driving to daytime hours on roads no more than 45 mph,, it's put fear in me to drive &purchase another! Every person that has worked on my car, been a passanger & that knows about my car us in utter disbelief as I am. I do not want to sell this vehicle to anyone else, in fear the purchaser could get hurt or hurt someone else! Every blog I've read and reviews for dodge dart have same issues & no re- placement parts available.

Crash

On June 16, 2021 I exited a parking lot and joined a line of traffic that was stopped for a stoplight. Traffic began to move and as I stepped on the accelerator the engine started ROARING and the car accelerated uncontrollably across the opposite lane and into a utility pole. It was totaled and I was left badly bruised by the airbag explosion; I have also found I have strange noises in my ears and am seeing an otolaryngologist for that. The car has ben disposed of and I don't know where it is. I am fortunate that there was no oncoming traffic, no one was on the sidewalk and I was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The only one who may have inspected the car was the insurance adjuster. There was no warning of any kind and I had never experienced this before.

The incident that occurred involved my clutch and transmission. I had purchased the car (8/17/2021)about 2 weeks before complete failure. Everything was going fine until I entered the freeway (8/26/2021)and after driving around 5 miles in 6th gear doing about 65 with no initial issues, I started to smell something burning. I immediately looked for the safest way to get out of traffic. While slowing, gears weren’t shifting and I was basically stuck in neutral. I only had control of brakes and steering wheel which caused me to have to make extremely dangerous evasive maneuvers. Once safe, I was able to find the source of the smoke. Which turned out to be dot 3 from where, what I think is the slave cylinder connects to the top of the transmission. I was able to remove it to check for damage/defection. It was dripping dot 3 and I didn’t see any noticeable defects. Plugged it back. Tried to drive and the clutch engages to start vehicle/change gears. But gears were able to change without clutch as well. Yet i couldn’t get out of neutral. Towed it home, next day clutch pedal was on the floor with no pressure. All components are available for inspection upon request, the safety of everyone involved was put at risk due to me not having any control of anything but the brakes and steering; with no warning or idea of what could be wrong due to the instantaneous nature of the disastrous incident. On a public highway with people going speeds of up to 85 mph. I have not been able to get confirmation or reproduction by anyone. I have not had any inspection due to my lack of knowledge on this process. There was no warning light or indication that the incident was going to happen until I had limited-no control.

When I got in my car to leave work, the shifter cable had broken. It would not shift to reverse, neutral, or drive. I was left stranded in the middle of the night with no one to pick me up. Also, if it had broken while I was driving I wouldn’t have been able to put it in park and it would have potentially rolled into another car or person. At this time it has been 6 months since the recall and Dodge has no remedy for it. The dealership looked at it and did confirm that the shifter cable had broken.

My 2013 Dodge Dart is subject to a shifter cable safety recall. The vehicle has been at an authorized Dodge dealership in Texas since November awaiting recall repair. The dealership has confirmed the vehicle is unsafe to drive, but the repair has been delayed for several months. No reliable transportation assistance has been provided during this extended delay. This safety recall has left me without a usable vehicle for an unreasonable amount of time.

The transmission and powertrain were inspected due to concerns about the car possibly jolting in a different direction and causing an accident. The issue has been confirmed by the dealer, and the vehicle has been inspected by both the dealer and a mechanic. The car does indeed jolt unexpectedly.

My car transmission is shot, I'm requesting a recall, my car was recalled for transmission problems immediately after on market. I don't know what was all fixed , but sure wasn't fixed. When in gear the car would sometimes loose power and then rev up and the car would jerk. I replaced everything possible, I had bought a warranty extension and was continusing getting one part after another fixed, I called to report a claim after just getting a recall for the shift cable recall repair done to have my car diagnosis done again, and my warranty was up, the car has so many new parts and I love my car, I can't drive it, needs transmission rebuilt, I kept telling the warranty insurance and they ignored it. Now I can't drive it, I'm not pleased at all, I had to continue to make payments on my car for a year and couldn't drive i The transmission should have been replaced, they are responsible for my transmission. Wouldn't go in gear, would shoot off and switch gears, rev up why driving, then would have to have towed, fixed everything but the transmission which I reported non-stop, they did nothing about it, then told me, there's nothing we can do your warranty expired today. So I am requesting a recall, the transmission was recalled right after Market I don't think they fixed it right to begin with, it's a shame to have a vehicle that just sits in the garage and collects dust. The manufacturer and warranty insurance are responsible for repairing my transmission so I can drive the car , I paid for!
