LOST CONTROL ON WET ROAD HIT TREE HEAD-ON AND SEAT BELT CAME OUT OF TRACK ALLOWED DRIVER TO BE DECAPITATED. *NM
FATALITY INVOLVING 1991 FORD ESCORT. *MR THE CONSUMERS AUNT WAS DRIVING AND WAS SEVERELY INJURED AND THE CONSUMERS MOTHER WAS KILLED IN THE ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO KNOW IF THE VEHICLE WAS CHECKED OR CORRECTED FOR THE PROBLEM. (INSPECT THE BOLT LENGTH BEFORE DRIVEN OR DEMONSTRATED OR DELIVERED THE VEHICLE UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN INSPECTED) THIS WAS THE CONSUMER'S AUNT'S FIRST ACCIDENT UNTIL THE PROBLEM WITH THE ACCELERATOR. THE THROTTLE LINKAGE WAS POSSIBLY DEFECTIVE. RECALL# 90V076000 *SC THERE WAS ALSO A LEAKAGE PRESENT AT THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE CALIPER UPON INSPECTION. *JB
I WAS INVOLVED IN A LITTLE ACCIDENT. I WAS GOING 20 MPH ON IMPACT AND MY AUTOMATIC SEAT BELT BROKE OUT OF THE TRACK.I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY HURT BUT COULD HAVE BEEN CRIPPLED.WHAT CAN I DO? MY SEAT BELT AND TRACK ARE NOW JUNK AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT DRIVING A FORD AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE SEAT BELT THING. *AK

CAR ENGINE STARTED TO ACCELERATE WHILE PERSON WAS DRIVING BRAKES WERE APPLIED BUT CAR STILL CONTINUED TO MOVE. PERSON HIT CAR AN HILL THEN CAR STOPPED. *AK
SEAT BELT FAILED TO SECURE DRIVER DURING A REAREND ACCIDENT, RESULTING IN EXTENSIVE NECK/SHOULDER/CHEST INJURIES AND A BROKEN STERNIUM. *AK
ON COUNTRY ROAD, HIT A PATCH OF ICE, CAR SLID AND ROLLED OVER; SHOULDER BELT CAME LOOSE DURING ACCIDENT. *AQK

STEERING FAILED COMPLETELY DUE TO OUTER TIE ROD FAILING, RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL/CRASH. THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE OF COMPLETE FAILURE. *AK
THE GAS PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR CAUSED CONSUMER TO HAVE A NEAR ACCIDENT. TT
