CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AROUND OUR ABOUT 4 MPH TO 11 MPH WHEN WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION, HITTING A TREE IN WHICH BOTH DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, UPON DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG, THE IMPACT KILLED THE DRIVER. *AK
MAKING LEFT HAND TURN AND WAS HIT ON PASSENGER SIDE. MY SEAT BELT BROKE. CAR WAS TOTALED. *JB
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH AND A DEER JUMPED IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY COMPLETELY. CONSUMER STATED THAT THE BAGS CAME OUT, BUT DID NOT INFLATE COMPLETELY, CAUSING DRIVER TO SUSTAIN A CONCUSSION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED. DRIVER'S SEAT BELTSNAPPED IN HALF, AND CONSUMER WAS INJURED. *AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT HIS WIFE HAD A FRONT END COLLISION AND BOTH AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. WIFE SUSTAINED WRIST INJURIES BY THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAG. CONSUMER WANTED TO KNOW IF THIS WAS NORMAL. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 25 MPH AND AS A RESULT OF A COLLISION AUTOMATIC SEAT BELT RELEASED, CAUSING CONSUMER TO HIT AIR BAG HARD. CONSUMER STATED WHEN GETTING OUT OF VEHICLE, CONSUMER NOTICED AUTOMATIC SEAT BELT MADE NOISE, SEAT BELT WAS STUCK IN TRACK. *AK CONSUMER STATES THAT THE SEATBELT SHOULDER HARNESS WAS JAMMED IN THE BELT TRACK, CONSUMER WAS INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT. *JB
WHILE DRIVING AND UPON MAKING A SUDDEN STOP SHOULDER BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN DRIVER'S SIDE OCCUPANT WHICH FORCED DRIVER INTO THE STEERING WHEEL, CAUSING INJURIES TO OCCUPANT. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER. *AK DEALER REPLACED SEATBELT. *SLC
VAN IN FRONT MADE A "U" TURN. CAUSING ESCORT TO SLAM ON BRAKES AND BE REARENDED AFTER DRIVING 45MPH. UPON IMPACT, FRONT SEATS COLLAPSED BACKWARDS. PASSENGER'S SEATBACK HIT CHILD'S SEAT, CHILD NOT IN SEAT, ALSO, CAUSED VEHICLE TO REAREND ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO NOTBEING ABLE TO SEE. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUFFERED BACK & LEG INJURIES. EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENT.*AK
THIS WAS MY MOTHER'S CAR-PEARL LEE. SHE SUBSEQUENTLY DIED-2MONTHS LATER. IN THE ACCIDENT SHE WAS REAR ENDED YET HER SEAT BELT BROKE AND HER SEAT WAS SLAMMED BACKWARDS INTO THE BACK SEAT. HER HEAD SLAMMED INTO THE DASH AND SHE WAS KNOCKED OUT. I BELIEVE THE FAULT WAS PROBABLY IN THE SEAT BELT AND SEAT TRACK. SHE WAS NOT DRIVING FAST OR RECKLESS. THE CAR WAS TOTALED BY STATE FARM IN DECATUR ILLINOIS. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
I AM A FEMALE AND THE AUTO PLACE TREATS ME LIKE I KNOW NOTHING BUT, I HAD RECEIVED ALOT OF INJURIES AND I WANT TO KNOW THE REASON BEHIND THIS AND TO GET SOME HELP TO FIND OUT WHY IT DID. *AK
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND SHE BENT DOWN FOR A SECOND TO PICK UP SOMETHING FROM THE FLOORBOARD. WHEN SHE STRAIGHTENED UP, VEHICLE HAD VEERED OVER INTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND TURNED AWAY FROM HITTING A MAILBOX. THEN, HIT AN ENBANKMENT AND FLIPPED OVER, TWICE, LANDING ON THE TOP SIDE. CONSUMER HAD TO FORCE THE DOOR OPEN. UPON IMPACT, DUAL AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, AND THE SEAT BELT BROKE. CONSUMER SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING HAD A DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT, AND DRIVER'S/PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY AFTER THE INTIAL FRONTAL IMPACT. DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES. AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHILE HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
BRAKES FAILED AS I WAS GETTING ON FREEWAY. CARS HAD STOPPED AHEAD, I WAS PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL, CAR SLOWED A LITTLE BUT WOULD NOT STOP. I TRIED GETTING ONTO SHOULDER BUT CARS WERE GOING AROUND ME ONTO THE SHOULDER BECAUSE OF RUSH HOUR MORNING TRAFFIC. CONTINUED PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO RESULTS. BRAKES FINALLY ENGAGED BUT LOCKED AND CAR SLID INTO 1999 LINCOLN, RESULTING IN FRONT-END DAMAGE. BRAKES WORKED AFTER CRASH. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE BRAKES WOULD HAVE SUDDEN FAILURE AND THEN CONTINUE TO WORK. *AK
NO DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBAGS DURING COLLISION, CAUSING INJURY TO THE DRIVERS NECK. NM
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60MPH ON AN INTERSTATE WHEN A 3/4 CAR INCIDENT HAPPENED. VEHICLE WAS HIT ON BOTHE SIDES AND THEN REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. UPON IMPACT, BOTH AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WAS RELEASED FROM THE RAIL, CONSUMER WAS LAID INTO THE BACK SEAT, THE SEAT BACK WAS BROKEN/ BENT/DISTORTED, CONSUMER WAS INJURED. THERE IS AN OPEN IVESTIGATION ATTHIS TIME-(IE-98-074). *AK

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT 15 TO 20 MPH STOPPED ON A RED LIGHT WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE, FORCING HIM TO REAR END THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. AIR BAG DEPLOYED ON HIS GIRL FRIEND'S FACE WHEN THE SEAT BELT DID NOT RESTRAIN HER TO THE SEAT. *AK
