2000 FORD F350, UNIT #1 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND IN THE LEFT LANE WHEN THE RIGHT TIRE BLEW OUT. UNIT 1 WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, STRUCK THE DITCH AND STRUCK A FENCE. BF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES. (OHIO TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT # 10-0415-89)*JB UPDATED 12/10/10 *BF
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE DRIVER CAUSING THE DRIVER TO HIT THE WINDSHIELD. DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES. *AK
THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION WITH A ELEVATED CRANE PILLAR WHILE DRIVING 20-30 MPH AND NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER WERE BOTH RESTRAINED IN THEIR SEAT BELT. THE DRIVER RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES, BUT THE PASSENGER WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE DUE TO HEAD INJURIES. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE BRAKES FAILED, CAUSING CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO COLLIDE WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES, AND VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. *AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 65 TO 70 MPH FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW UP. AS RESULT, DRIVER LOST THE CONTROL, AND VEHICLE ROLLED OVER SEVERAL TIMES. VEHICLE LANDED UPSIDE DOWN IN AN EMBANKMENT. UPON IMPACT, THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. FIRESTONE, STEELTEX RADIAL, SIZE 265/75R16 DOT VDW81XL2400. THE DRIVER AND WIFE BECAME UNCONSCIOUS AND WERE TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL. *AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES. PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG HAD AN ON/OFF SWITCH INSTALLED. *AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH AND WITH NO WARNING, THE FRONT LEFT TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER HAD TO PULL OVER. FIRESTONE, LT # P265/75/R16 DOT#- UNKNOWN. DEALER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK THE CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING EAST BOUND IN THE FAST LANE. THERE WAS A "THUD" AND THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO THE LEFT. THE CONSUMER LEFT THE EAST BOUND LANE AND HAD GONE OVER THE MOUND OF GRAVEL, CROSSED TWO LANES OF CONSTRUCTION OVER THE CEMENT DIVIDER WALL AND BROKE OUT TWO CHUNKS OF CEMENT, LANDED OVER THE DRIVERS SIDE, SLIDING, ROLLED OVER ON TOP, AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN IN THE WEST BOUND SLOW LANE. ALTHOUGH I HAVE ONLY LISTED THIS AS 1 INSTANCE OF FAILURE SIMPLY BECAUSE THIS POORLY DESIGNED (DANGEROUS) SOLUTION FINALLY COST ME GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT. THIS ABS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED ME TO LOOSE SLEEP AT NIGHT SINCE OWNING THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE VARIOUS TIMES IT HAS FAILED ME! IT SHOULDN'T TAKE AN EINSTEIN TO FIGURE OUT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH A BRAKE SYSTEM THAT FAILS WHEN YOU REALLY NEED IT TO WORK! NOT ONLY DOES IT FAIL THE BRAKES, BUT SINCE THE POWER STEERING IS USED TO (HYDROBOOST) POWER THE BRAKE SYSTEM, WHEN THE ABS UNIT DUMPS THE FLUID TO RELEASE THE BRAKE PRESSURE, YOU ALSO LOOSE STEERING ABILITY! I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY THIS INADEQUATE DESIGN. I GUESS I SHOULD COUNT MYSELF LUCKY THAT I'M EVEN ABLE TO WRITE THIS, BUT THIS SYSTEM IS PLAINLY INADEQUATE AND FLAWED AT THE DESIGN LAYER. EITHER SOMEONE REQUIRES THIS TO BE CORRECTED OR EVERYONE THAT DRIVES A VEHICLE WITH THIS TYPE OF SOLUTION BETTER TRIPLE THEIR LIFE INSURANCE AND QUADRUPLE THEIR LIABILITY INSURANCE AND ATTEND CHURCH SERVICES DAILY IN HOPES THAT THEY SURVIVE THE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! OH, MAYBE I'VE TOUCHED ON SOMETHING THERE. DO YOU THINK THE INSURANCE COMPANIES MIND THE PROSPECT OF HAVING EVERYONE HAVING TO INCREASE THEIR INSURANCE TO PREPARE FOR THE RESULTS? DT
POWER STEERING GETS STIFF AND/OR GOES OUT (DOES NOT WORK) WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED WHILE I AM DRIVING AND/OR AT A STAND STILL.AT TIMES THE STEERING LOCKS UP WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED AND THEN COMES BACK GRADUALY. THE TURN SIGNAL WILL NOT STAY ON WHILE I AM DRIVING AND WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO TURN ON IF MY STEERING WHEEL IS SLIGHTLY TURNED
I T-BONED A VEHICLE THAT RAN A STOP SIGN. I WAS TRAVELLING BETWEEN 50 TO 55 MILES PER HOUR. I HAD MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE TO MY PICKUP. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I FEEL I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AS INJURED IF MY AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED.*AK
AIR BAG(S) FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED FACE,HEAD, CHEST AND NECK INJURIES. *AK
I HAD ONE BLOW OUT 5/27/01 AT 50 MILES AN HOUR COMING OFF THE HIGHWAY. I THEN TOOK THE TIRE TO TED WIENS FIRESTONE IN LAS VEGAS ON 6/2/01; THEY REFUSED TO EXCHANGE THE TIRE OR GIVE CREDIT. I THEN WENT TO DISCOUNT TIRE AND REPLACED THE BACK TWO TIRES WITH GOODYEARS ON 6/2/01. I DID NOT REPLACE THE FRONT TWO! THE LAST BLOW OUT ON 7/01/01 CAUSED THE TRUCK TO VEER OFF THE ROAD, CAUSING A MAJOR CRASH. THE CRASH TOTALED THE TRUCK , TRAILER AND HORSES. ALL OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE TRUCK SUFFERED LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.*AK (DOT NUMBER: VDWD1XM359 TIRESIZE: LT265/75R1)
CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKE AT 50 MPH , BRAKES FAILED, AND VEHICLE HIT A GUARDRAIL AT ABOUT 35-40 MPH.DAMAGE TO VEHICLE WAS $ 7000. *AK *JB
BRAKES FAILED AT 50 MPH, CONSUMER THEN LOST ALL STEERING AND HIT A GUARDRAIL AT 35-40 MPH. DAMAGE TO VEHICLE WAS $ 7000. *AK *JB

TRUCK WAS PARKED ON A CAR PORT (COVERED). TRUCK IN GEAR AND PARKING BRAKE ON. I WAS IN GARAGE AT BOTTOM OF HILL. TRUCK ROLLED OFF CAR PORT STRUCK AN OLD JUNK CAR HALF WAY DOWN HILL AND DROVE IT THROUGH THE GARAGE DOOR AND PINNED ME ON THE BACK WALL OF THE GARAGE. I BELIEVE TRUCK WAS IN GEAR AND PARKING BRAKE ON. POLICE CONFIRMED PARKING BRAKE WAS ON WHEN THEY PULLED ME FROM ACCIDENT. *AK
VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A FRONTAIL COLLISION OF 55 MPH IMPACT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND BOTH AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED DAMAGE MOSTLY TO THE CENTER OF THE HOOD. THE HOOD WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH RADIATOR, BUMPER AND WINDSHIELD. DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE THE REASON AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *YH
WHILE TRAVELING AT 55 MPH VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY TOTALLED, AND NO AIRBAGS WENT OFF. FRONT OF THE TRUCK WAS PUSHED IN 18 INCHES.*AK
DRIVER GOING 55 MPH AND LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE. TRIED TO OVER CORRECT IT & WENT OFF THE ROAD & HIT A TREE HEAD-ON. VEHICLE END OVERENDED BEFORE ROLLING 3 TIMES. UPON IMPACT, NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. VEHCLE WAS TOTALED. PASSENGER IN HOSPITAL WITH LEG INJURIES/ BROKEN COLLAR BONE & BRUISES OVER BODY. DRIVER HAD BRUISES & EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENT.*AK
