I AM AN AUTOMOTIVE FORENSIC INVESTIGATOR. I HAVE INSPECTED THIS VEHICLE, WHICH WAS INVOLVED IN A ROLLOVER INCIDENT, AND FOUND THE SAME "ENERGY MANAGEMENT LOOP" AS WAS RECALLED IN NHTSA RECALL #03V117000. THE DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE WAS A 29 YEAR OLD GENTLEMAN, 6 FOOT TALL AND 200 POUNDS. HE WAS FULLY EJECTED AND FATALLY INJURED. THE SURVIVAL SPACE SURROUNDING THE DRIVER'S SEAT HAD REMAINED INTACT, AND LIKELY THE DRIVER WOULD HAVE NOT SUSTAINED A CATASTROPHIC INJURY BUT FOR THE 10" OF EXTRA SLACK ADDED TO THE SAFETY BELT SYSTEM DURING THE ROLLOVER.
DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBELT GAVE WAY, ALLOWING THE BUCKLE END OF THE SEATBELT TO COME OUT ABOUT ANOTHER FOOT, WHICH THREW THE DRIVER FROM THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED IN A CRASH. *AK
MADE A U-TURN AND FELL INTO A DITCH. AFTER THE DRIVER GOT OUT OF THAT DITCH SMOKE WAS NOTICED COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE BURNED COMPLETELY, AND THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
VEHICAL PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME I HIT HIM RUNNING 55 MPH MY SAFETY BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY RESULTING IN SEVERE SEATBELT AND STERRING WHEEL DAMAGE TO MY BODY AND TERIBLE NECK PAIN AND BACK PAIN RESULTING FROM LACK OF AIR BAGNEGLECT
DT: THE VEHICLE WAS IN ACCIDENT WHERE IT HIT TREES. ON A RAINY DAY IN FEBRUARY AS VEHICLE WAS GOING ALONG AT OR BELOW 55 MPH. WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED AND DID NOT WORK. DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SEE OUT OF THE VEHICLE. DRIVER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, VEHICLE HYDRO PLANED, AND DRIVER LOST CONTROL. CALLER UNSURE IF THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS HAD FAILED BEFORE. VEHICLE WAS REGULARLY MAINTAINED. UPON LEAVING THE ROAD AND UPON IMPACT DRIVER SUSTAINED FEET INJURIES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT AND THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS WHEN HIS HEAD HIT THE STEERING WHEEL. *AK *NM
WHILE DRIVING 20 - 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *JB

CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. UPON IMPACT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER SUFFERED TORN LIGAMENTS TO HIS LEFT SHOULDER. *JG

CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT APPROX 40MPH WHEN VEHICLE WAS HIT HEAD ON BY ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT HAD PULLED IN FRONTBY DRUCK DRIVER, DUAL AIR BAGS DID NOT INFLATE ,TOTALLY INOPERATIVE CAUSING LEG, ARM , SHOULDER INJUIRES TO PASSENGER.SEATBELT WAS WORN DURING THE ACCIDENT. THERE WAS NO INDICTATION OF DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. $4500.00 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THE FRONTEND.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION\. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND RESTRAINTS DID NOT RETRACT, RESULTING IN MAJOR INJURIES. RIGHT AIRBAG SENSOR WAS SHATTERED. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED.*AK THE DRIVER'S NOSE HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE PASSENGER WAS THROWN OUT OF THE SEAT DURING THE ACCIDENT. *YH
DRIVER WAS DRIVEN OFF THE ROAD WHILE TRAVELING 60 MPH AND INTO A DITCH, AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON NO DEPLOYMENT OF AIR BAG, CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD HE DIDN'T HIT HARD ENOUGH OR AT THE RIGHT ANGLE, DURING FRONT END COLLISION THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, THE PASSENGER SHOULDER HARNESS FAILED AND CAUSED THE PASSENGER TO BE THROWN THOURGHOUT THE VEHICLE CAUSING 3 HERNIATED DISC. NLM
WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MPH ANOTHER DRIVER RAN A RED LIGHT AND HIT CONSUMER'S VEHICLE ON RIGHT FRONT VENDOR, PUSHING WHOLE FRONT END OF TRUCK. TRUCK WAS TOTALLED. AIR BAG ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DIDN'T DEPLOY. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY IN A HEAVY RAINSTORM VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND HIT A GUARDRAIL, AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK
TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON CRASH TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH, AND THERE WAS NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG. TRUCK WAS TOTALLED. *AK *ML
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 60MPH. ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT HIM FROM THE REAR, AND VEHICLE VEERED OVER INTO THE SHOULDER GRASS AND FLIPPED TWICE, THE CAR WAS UPSIDE DOWN. THEN, VEHICLE WAS BACK ON THE ROAD, AND WENT INTO A CONCRETE COVER. HIT IT HEAD-ON, AND DRIVER'S AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. CONSUMER HAD SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH ANOTHER DRIVER WAS WAITING TO MAKE A TURN, THE OTHER DRIVER TURNED IN FRONT OF CONSUMER, CONSUMER HIT OTHER DRIVER HEAD-ON, AND WENT INTO HIGH CURVE. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS DRUNK. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. CONSUMER STATED THAT AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AT 10 TO 14 MPH, BUT THEY DID NOT. CONSUMER WAS WILLING TO TAKE CAR TO BE INSPECTED. *AK
