CAR HAVE SEVERAL RECALL, MAKER NO HELPFUL ABOUT REPORT ON RECALL, 2 OF PASSANGER SERIOUS INJURED WE SEVERAL FRACTURES ONE THROWN OUT WHEN SEAT BELT WAS WORE FROM PASSAGER WE BROKEN FRACTURES OF NECK AND STITCHES SEAT BELT NOT LUCK AND OTHER BECAME UNDOWN. DT
UPON HITTING A DEER T ELECTRICAL BOX SPLIT OPEN, AND CAUSED A FIRE, BURNING ENTIRE CAR. AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF, AND ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LOCKED UP FOR AT LEAST 6 FEET .*AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DODGE INTREPID. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A BRICK WALL AND SEVERELY DAMAGED THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELTS MALFUNCTIONED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A BACK INJURY AND BODY BRUISES AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED BROKEN RIBS. THE REAR PASSENGER SUSTAINED MULTIPLE LACERATIONS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 250,000.
CAR WAS T-BONED ON DRIVER SIDE, THEN PROPELLED INTO A TREE AND SIDESWIPED A PARKED CAR. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. HOOD WAS SLIGHTLY BUCKLED, DRIVER SIDE WAS DAMAGED FROM FRONT TO BEHIND REAR DOOR. PASSENGER SIDE WAS DAMAGED FROM FRONT HEADLIGHT/BUMPER AREA TO REAR DOOR.
I HAVE A 2000 DODGE INTREPID THAT I HAVE W/ A 2.7 ENGINE AND THE ENGINE SEIZED/LOCKED UP ON ME AND THE HEAT HAD WENT OUT ON IT RIGHT BEFORE THE ENGINE SEIZED UP. I TOOK CARE OF THE VEHICLE AND HAD NO PROBLEMS UNTIL THEN. MY VEHICLE IS NICE LOOKING IN AND OUT AND I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER ENGINE FOR THIS CAR SO IT'S SITTING THERE BEHIND MY HOUSE AND I HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION. I PAID A GREAT DEAL FOR THIS CAR AND DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS W/ IT UNTIL IT SEIZED AND IT SEIZED UP AT 97,000 MILES! THIS CAR IS A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT FOR ME AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO THE PROBLEMS EVERYONE HAS BEEN HAVING OUT OF THESE VEHICLES. I RAN OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A SMALL TREE. IT MAKES ME AND MY FAMILY/FRIENDS NOT EVER WANT TO BUY ANOTHER DODGE/CHRYSLER VEHICLE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR ME. *TR
ON JANUARY 15, 2004 I BROUGHT MY DODGE INTREPID VIN#2B3HD46RXH103584 TO DOHN BOHN DODGE IN METAIRIE, LA FOR REPLACE OF THE DRIVERS SIDE RECLINER SEAT BOLTS. THIS WAS BEING DONE PER A RECALL NOTICE I RECEIVED. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER ID NUMBER IS #03V035000. AN INVOICE WAS ISSUED STATING THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED. ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2004 THE SAME DRIVERS SIDE SEAT RECLINER BOLT SHEARED IN HALF AND I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR AND HAD AN ACCIDENT. I AM UNDER DOCTORS CARE FOR INJURIES SUSTAINED. I REPORTED THIS INFORMATION TO DAHIMLER CHRYSLER ON 10/04/2005 AND THEY GAVE ME A CLAIM NUMBER #12695236. I CONTACTED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP LAKESHORE DODGE AND THEY INFORMED SINCE I HAD THE RECALL ALREADY DONE I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE. I DECLINED AND HAD THE BOLT REPLACED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND RETAINED THE BOLT.
DT: 2000 DODGE INTREPID BOUGHT IN APRIL USED WITH 11,000 MILES. SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN IN SHOP 9-10 TIMES, MOSTLY CONSISTING OF STEERING PROBLEMS, SUCH AS RACK AND PINION AND THE STEERING COUPLER. THERE WERE OTHER ISSUES, BUT THIS WAS THE MAIN CONCERN. ONE WEEK AGO THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, FRONT END IMPACT FOR WHICH THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES. NO REPAIRS AFTER THE ACCIDENT BECAUSE THERE WAS OVER $6,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. *AK EMERGENCY BRAKE HANDLE WAS LOOSE. THE DEALER DETERMINED THE IT WAS NOT CONNECTED. THE DEALER REPOSITIONED/REASSEMBLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE KEY WOULDN'T COME OUT OF THE IGNITION BECAUSE THE SHIFT INTERLOCK CABLE BROKE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRING TO THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. *NM
ON MAY 30, 2003, ADRIAN CHYRSLER CENTER PERFORMED A MANUFACTURER'S RECALL TO REPLACE THE BOLTS ON THE DRIVER'S FRONT SEAT BACK OF MY CAR. ON JUNE 7, 2004, WHILE IN LINE AT A FAST FOOD DRIVE-THROUGH, ONE OF THE REPLACED BOLTS BROKE,AND THE SEAT FELL BACKWARDS ONTO MY DAUGHTER; MY FEET CAME OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL, AND MY CAR COLLIDED WITH A PICK UP TRUCK WHICH WAS STOPPED IN LINE AHEAD OF ME.*AK
TRAVELING AT 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE 65, THE VEHICLE WAS DRIFTING RIGHT AND THEN VEERED RIGHT. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND. VEHICLE HIT RIGHT GUARDRAIL AND WAS DEFLECTED TO THE LEFT ACROSS 3 LANES AND IMPACTED THE CENTER CONCRETE DIVIDER.
I PULLED OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND DROVE ABOUT TWO BLOCKS. MY SPEED WAS ABOUT 20 MPH. THERE WAS A RED LIGHT AHEAD AND I APPLIED MY BREAKS. INSTEAD OF STOPPING, MY 2000 DODGE INTREPID SPED UP. I PUSHED HARDER ON THE BREAK PEDAL, TO NO AVAIL. THE CAR SPED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND SLAMMED INTO ANOTHER CAR. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE INSURANCE AGENT AND THE CAR WAS CHECKED OUT AFTER IT WAS REPAIRED AT THE BODY SHOP. THE DODGE DEALER SAID THE CRUISE CONTROL CABLE WAS BROKEN AS A RESULT OF MY ACCIDENT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT OR WHY THE CAR DID NOT STOP WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THEN FIRMLY APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE ONLY WAY I GOT THE CAR TO STOP WAS TO TURN OFF THE KEY. *LA
LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL. VEHICLE VEERED RIGHT AND WOULD NOT RESPOND. *JB
VEHICLE HIT A CONCRETE POST AT LESS THAN 15MPH. AIR BAGS DEPLOYED HITTING THE DRIVER. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. I AM CONCERNED FOR EMPLOYEE SAFETY. WE HAVE HAD TWO INTREPIDS DEPLOY THE AIR BAGS AT LESS THAN 15 MPH.
WHILE TRAVELING 25-30 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF THE CONSUMER RESULTING IN A FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED, BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES. TS *NLM *DT

CONSUMER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT TRAVELING 70MPH. ACCIDENT DAMAGED RIGHT FRONT CORNER PANEL, EVERY THING ELECTRICAL WAS KNOCKED OUT, AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, 2-3 INCH CREASE RIGHT UNDERNEATH LEFT HEAD LIGHT. SINCE ACCIDENT FUEL EMISSIONS LIGHT HAS BEEN OFF AND ON. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN 5 TIMES SINCE FIRST WEEK IN NOVEMBER. DEALER SAID IT WAS A FUEL EMISSIONS LEAK, CONSUMER DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO PUT ON GAS CAP. *AK AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE ACCIDENT, THE SES LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME FUEL EMISSIONS LEAKS. FINALLY, A BROKEN FUEL LINE WAS FOUND AND WAS FIXED. *YH

2000 DODGE CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED TO THE GROUND. DODGE SENT AN INVESTIGATOR WHO CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT DODGE WAS AT FAULT DUE TO FAULTY FUSE PANEL UNDER THE HOOD AND DODGE WOULD NOT REPLACE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS TOTALY DESTROYED AND THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING, I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THEY ARE AWAIR OF THIS PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL SOMEONE HAS ENOUGH MONEY TO FIGHT THEM IN COURT AND WIN. *AK
THE CAR WAS DRIVEN INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. HE GOT OF THE CAR AND OPENED THE GATE. AT THAT TIME, THE VEHICLE SLIPPED OUT OF PARK AND BEGAN ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. IT HIT THE CURB, THEN A SMALL TREE ON THE FRONT LAWN OF THE HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET AND FINALLY CAME TO REST ON THE FRONT STOOP OF THE SAID HOUSE. *TR

I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT ON THE 2000 DODGE INTREPID, 2.7L ENGINE. I HAD A FRONT END CRASH WITH NO APPARENT ENGINE DAMAGE. WHEN THE COSMETICS WERE REPAIRED AND I CRANKED THE ENGINE AGAIN THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WAS NOT RUNNING SMOOTHLY. OIL LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF AT TIMES AND NOW HAS KNOCK IN ENGINE. I BLAME THIS ON A DESIGN FLAW IN THE OIL GALLEYS OF THE 2.7 ENGINE. *TR
