TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE BRAKING TO A STOP, THE VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING AS ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND DASHBOARD STARTED TO FLICKER. THE CONTACT THEN CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT AND SEVERAL CHILD PASSENGERS BECAME LOCKED INTO THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES DUE TO THE DOOR LOCKS FAILING. THE DOOR WAS OPENED AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. KMJ
I was traveling at 35 MPH when a bright light blinded me in drivers window, assuming I was about to get T-boned, I pulled hard to the right, went over a curb, and hit an electrical pole. The front air bags all deployed, including the one by my knees. Getting out of the vehicle, I could see approximately 2" of bone exposed on both shins. It looked like my shins got hit with grenades. I located my phone on the drivers side floor, underneath the remains of the knee airbag. I was taken to the closest trauma hospital and spent 5 days there. I have undergone 5 surgeries on both legs, received multiple blood transfusions in order to have surgery (due to blood loss at the scene), surgery involved removing debris multiple times, and have had artificial skin graphs as well as skin graphs taken from two sites on my right thigh (during the 5th surgery). I have been unable to drive and must have a responsible adult living with me during my recovery. I have been unable to work. I had no broken bones or internal injuries, but extensive damage to my lower legs, nonetheless. Police reports were taken at the scene by Debary, Florida/Volusia county officers. Photographs of my shins were take by the plastic surgeon called while I was in the ER. Full body xrays/scans were also taken.
I was involved in a fender bender on the highway and my airbag was deployed but the one at my feet came out so hard I think it that it projected something into my leg I assumed it was part of the takata airbag recall but now I've gone online and seen that my vehicle is not included in that recall and I'd like to know why because I really feel like these airbags injured me.
WHEN I MAKE SLOW LEFT TURN I HEAR GRINDING NOISE. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS NOW MY ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. SOMETIMES MY CAR SMELLS AS THOUGH IT IS BURNING AFTER I DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE AND THEN I PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN THE CAR OFF.
I GAVE THE CAR FUEL THROTTLE AND IT STALLED THEN DIED ON THE FREEWAY. AFTER BEING STRUCK BY ANOTHER CAR FROM BEHIND, THE CAR STARTED FINE AND STILL RUNS PERFECT. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. MY RESEARCH SUGGEST THE PCM ON THESE CARS ARE FAULTY.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A PRIVATE CONDOMINIUM PARKING LOT IN LUBBOCK, TX AND POPPED OUT OF PARK WHILE IT WAS RUNNING. IT ROLLED BACKWARDS AND HIT A CURB AND BUSH. DRIVER'S DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN AND DRIVER WAS STANDING NEARBY. ATTEMPTED TO MOVE BUT WAS HIT BY THE DOOR CAUSING SOME INJURIES. $7200 DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE. IT IS UNKNOWN IF IT IS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE OR ELECTRICAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A MINOR INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED, BUT NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED DURING FRONT COLLISION. MISJUDGED CURVE RAN OFF ROAD AND HIT POLE HEAD IN.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NOSE INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TOWING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.

THE SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CRASH INVOLVED FOUR VEHICLES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK, RIGHT SHOULDER, CHEST AND BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A WALL AND A PARKED VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V467000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS) AFTER THE CRASH OCCURRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WHILE IM DRIVING HOME AROUND APPROX. 10:30 PM . I WAS GOING UPHILL ON A BRIDGE IN A CURVE WHEN MY HEADLIGHTS WENT COMPLETELY OUT ON MY VEHICLE CAUSING ME TO CRASH TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BRIDGE IN THE ON-COMING TRAFFIC LANE . THERE ALSO WERE A COUPLE VEHICLES APPROACHING A COUPLE HUNDRED YARDS AWAY IN FRONT OF ME. SO I HAD TO STOP MY VEHICLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD . I HAD TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE NIGHT BECAUSE MY HEADLIGHTS DIDN'T COME BACK ON AT ALL. I REALLY FEARED FOR MY LIFE THAT NIGHT. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ON MY WAY TO WORK.I STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT AND A CAR CAME FROM BEHIND AND HIT ME.THE CAR WAS TRAVEL AROUND 60MPH,AND THE ACCIDENT CAUSED MY CAR TO BE TOTALED MY AIR BAGS NEVER CAME OUT CAUSING PAIN ALL DOWN MY LOWER BACK AND NECK. *TR
I TRIED TO MAKE A QUICK STOP AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DID NOT WORK I CRASHED AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
I AM WONDERING IF I HAVE ANY FURTHER ACTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ME FOR A RECALL SITUATION. MY CAR HAD A RECALL FOR THE TIMING CHAIN AND I HAD THE RECALL PERFORMED IN 2014. A FEW WEEKS AGO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR IN A SNOW STORM THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND DESTROYED MY ENGINE. I HAD SECONDS TO NEGOTIATE MY LANE AND GET TO SAFETY WHICH I COULD NOT. THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE WAS STILL STICKING OUT OF THE RIGHT LANE. I WAS INFORMED BY THE STATE PATROL I CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS BEHIND ME AND MY VEHICLE WAS ALSO ALMOST STRUCK BY A SEMI TRUCK. I DO NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE YEAR ROUND SO BETWEEN 2014 AND NOW THE VEHICLE HAD LESS THAN 20,000 MILES PUT ON IT WITH THE NEW TIMING CHAIN. I CONTACTED DODGE AND THEY INFORMED ME THE NEW TIMING CHAIN HAD A WARRANTY OF ONLY 2 YEARS SO ALL SUBSEQUENT DAMAGE WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY. I AM MAKING THE ASSUMPTION THE CORRECT CHAIN WAS NOT PUT ON MY VEHICLE DURING THE RECALL REPAIR OR WAS NEVER CHANGED AT ALL. THE VEHICLE HAD A TOTAL OF 54,000 MILES ON IT AND ACCORDING TO ALL THE FORUMS, THIS IS TYPICALLY WITHIN THE MILEAGE THE CHAIN FAILS AND UNDER THE EXACT CONDITIONS OF WHICH I WAS DRIVING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND HAS NO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES THAT SHOULD HAVE LED TO A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. NOW DODGE WANTS TO CHARGE ME $5,000 FOR THE ENGINE REPAIR WHICH WAS CAUSED FROM THE TIMING CHAIN THEY SUPPOSEDLY INSTALLED.
I DRIVE A 2011 DODGE CHARGER RT MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO LOSS POWER AND WHEN POWER IS LOST I HAVE NO POWER STREERING OR BRAKES. I WAS ADVISED MY VEHICLE HAS A ACTIVE RECALL T-36 IN WHICH THE PROBLEMS I'M HAVE ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF THE RECALL. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES AT CLASSIC DODGE IN DENTON TX. THE ONLY THING CLASSIC DODGE HAS DONE IS REPLACE THE BATTERY STATING WE HAD TO START THERE AND ADVISED ME FCA HAS NOT SENT OUT A FIX AND WONT UNTIL FEB 2018. I HAVE REPORTED TO CLASSIC DODGE IN DENTON AS WELL AS MY FCA CASE MANAGER MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO LOSS POWER AND HAS ALMOST RESULTED IN SEVERAL CRASHES AND FCA HAS FAILED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND HAS STOPPED RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS. ON 12-05-17 I WAS INVOLVED IN A AUTOMOBLE CRASH IN THE CHARGER CAUSED BY THE LOSS IN POWER AND I RAN INTO A TREE CAUSING VEHICLE STRUCTUAL DAMAGE.

I WAS DRIVING AND ACCIDENTALLY DRIFTED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC GUARD RAIL GOING APPROXIMATELY 45 I HIT (BEST GUESS) AT ABOUT A 40 DEGREE ANGLE. I HIT MY HEAD AND SHOULDER ON THE DRIVER SIDE GLASS AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.

DURING THE CRASH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY DURING THE INCIDENT. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN AT THE SCENE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
