ON THE FREEWAY, CAR HYDROPLANED AND HIT CONCRETE TEMPORARY DIVIDER TWICE. ONCE IN THE BACK AND THEN THE FRONT AND SIDE OF THE CAR. CAR CROSSED THREE LANES AND FORCIBLY LANDED ON EDGE OF FREEWAY.
ENGINE LIGHT MULTIPLE TIMES- EMISSIONS CONTROL - FOUND ONLINE BUT DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL: IN AFFECTED CARS, FCA WILL REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND UPDATE SOFTWARE FOR THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE — THAT IS, YOUR CAR’S PRIMARY DRIVETRAIN COMPUTER. FCA WILL RECYCLE THE OLD CATALYTIC CONVERTER TO REMOVE THE PRECIOUS METALS COMMON IN SUCH DEVICES, A USUAL PRACTICE. “OBVIOUSLY THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, THAT’S THE BIGGEST PART OF THIS,” CHERNOBY SAID. THE REPLACEMENT CONVERTER HAS A “DIFFERENT MIXTURE OF PRECIOUS METALS … TO BE LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO SULFUR IN THE FUEL,” HE ADDED. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF REPLACEMENT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS NEEDED, THE AUTOMAKER IS RECALLING CARS IN WAVES. MODEL-YEAR 2011 CARS: FIRST QUARTER OF 2019 MODEL-YEAR 2012 CARS CHRYSLER'S NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS T47 CHRYSLER'S NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS S08 CHRYSLER'S NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS R61 CHRYSLER'S NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS R32
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, IT FAILED TO RESPOND. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE DRIVER SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BRUISING FROM THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINT AND AIR BAG, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR CENTER, INVESTIGATED THE CRASH, AND DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEM MAY HAVE BEEN FAULTY PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V431000 (ENGINE) AND 15V675000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) AFTER THE CRASH OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE CRASH AND WAS TO INVESTIGATE THE BRAKE FAILURE AND AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE FLIPPED OVER. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WERE TWO INJURIES SUSTAINED THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,523.
VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ON A SIDE STREET AND WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE LEFT SIDE JUST IN FRONT OF THE REAR WHEEL CAUSING IT TO SPIN AND ROLL. AS YOU CAN TELL BY THE PICTURES ATTACHED THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EITHER AT THE TIME OF INITIAL IMPACT FROM THE OTHER CAR HITTING THE SIDE OF OUR VEHICLE, NOR DID IT DEPLOY WHEN THE VEHICLE ROLLED ON IT'S SIDE AND ROOF. OUR CONCERN IS WHY?
MY HUSBAND AND I WERE TRAVELING UP OUR HILL ON FROM OUR HOUSE. IT IS VERY STEEP, LIKE CRESTING THE TOP OF A ROLLERCOASTER. ONCE WE WERE AT THE TOP COMING OVER THE TOP OUR BRAKES GAVE OUT. MY HUSBAND KEPT PUSHING THEM TO THE FLOOR AND STILL NOTHING WORKED. WE HAD TO ROUND A BAD CURVE TOWARDS THE BOTTOM AND HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID HITTING A CAR COMING UP THE ROAD. IN DOING SO MY HUSBAND TRIED TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR BUT ENDED UP VEERING OFF THE ROAD INTO SOMEONE'S YARD WHERE WE HIT A TREE HEAD ON THEN SKIDDED ACROSS THEIR DRIVEWAY AND CRASHED THROUGH THEIR PRIVACY FENCE AND LANDED NOSE DOWN INTO THEIR INGROUND SWIMMING POOL. AND AT NO POINT DID OUR AIRBAGS DEPLOY. WE WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS BUT I ACTUALLY HAD TO GO THE LOCAL URGENT CARE FOR HEAD INJURY AND MY HUSBAND IS SEEING A DR FOR BACK INJURY. OUR HEADRESTS HAD A MECHANISM THAT DEPLOYS IN ACCIDENTS. THAT WAS ALL THAT WORKED. THANK GOD NOBODY WAS IN THE POOL BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THE POLICE WERE CALLED AND A REPORT FILED.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE SHOULDER AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED CUTS IN THE HANDS. BOTH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING INSPECTION FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.

I WAS TRAVELING IN THE SLOW LANE OF ROUTE 2, WHEN ANOTHER CAR CRASHED INTO THE SIDE OF ME. CAR HIT DIRECTLY IN DRIVERS DOOR. THE SIDE OF THE CAR WAS DAMAGED BADLY, TO THE POINT WHERE THE DOORS WERE NOT ABLE TO BE OPENED. I HAD TO BE REMOVED OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. I WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH BRUISES AND PAIN TO THE LEFT SIDE OF MY BODY. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY SYSTEMS. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED IN THE CAR. THE SIDE IMPACT BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I HIT MY HEAD HARD ON THE DRIVER DOOR. WHY WOULD THESE SAFETY SYSTEMS NOT WORK? *TR
I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON JUNE 15,2012. UNEXPECTEDLY, ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2012 MY VEHICLE LOST CONTROL AT THE LOCATION I 287NB EXIT 41A PARSIPPANY RAMP ONTO 80 E TRAFFIC THEN MY VEHICLE LOST CONTROL AND SLAMMED ONTO THE GUARD RAIL REPEATEDLY. I IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED JOHN JOHNSON OF THE INCIDENT AND I PLEADED FOR THEM TO SEND ME A TOW TRUCK BECAUSE OF MY 100,000 MI WARRANTY. FURTHER, I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURERS CHRYSLER GROUP AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION. EVENTUALLY, BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT CAUSE AND EFFECT THEY TOOK THE VEHICLE AND SEND FOR A CONTRACTOR INSPECTOR FROM PENNSYLVANIA TO INSPECT THE CAR. AFTER THE INSPECTION, THE CONTRACTOR CONTACTED ME AND TOLD ME HE IS SENDING IN THE REPORT TO CHRYSLER AND WAIT A WEEK BEFORE CONTACTING THEM FOR A COPY OF THE REPORT. MOREOVER, I FOLLOWED UP, AND CHRYSLER COULD NOT TELL ME WHO WAS HANDLING MY CASE. FINALLY, AFTER PURSUING MY CASE SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE CASE FILE WAS CLOSED AND SENT TO THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT BECAUSE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT MY VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL WENT OUT. FURTHER, I WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE IN CONTACT WITH ME SHORTLY. NO ONE CONTACTED ME AND SEVERAL WEEKS PASSED AND I STILL DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING FROM THE CHRYSLER GROUP. I TRIED AGAIN UNTIL I GOT AN ANSWER AND I WAS TOLD TO EXPECT A LETTER AND NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED. EVENTUALLY, AFTER A LONG WAIT, I RECEIVED A LETTER THAT STATED THAT MY CLAIM IS DENIED AND THAT THE INSPECTOR DID NOT FIND ANY MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. I ASKED FOR A COPY OF THE REPORT AND CHRYSLER REFUSE TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE INSPECTION REPORT THAT GATHERED INFORMATION FROM THE VEHICLE IMAGING ONBOARD COMPUTER SYSTEMS. ADDITIONALLY, I AM STILL WITHOUT MY CAR OR A CAR. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE HAD PAIN AND SUFFERING AND HARDSHIP OVER THIS ORDEAL. AND I AM STILL MAKING MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR A CAR I DON'T HAVE OR DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE AIR BAG FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 2,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TOTALLY FAILED ON MY 2012 DODGE JOURNEY, I HAVE HAD OVER 20 FIRES UNDER HOOD OF THIS DODGE JOURNEY I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR OVER AND OVER TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER A 4 YEAR PERIOD THEY SAY THE DODGE TOLD THEM NOT TO REPAIR THE CAR, SO ON 2/28/2018 THE 2012 DODGE JOURNEY WAS TOTALED BY FIRE, THE TOTAL CAR BLOW UP UNDER THE CAR WHEN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED THE CONVERTER FILL WITH GAS ME AND MY FAMILY NEARLY DIED THAT DAY TO THIS PRESENT DAY THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING DONE ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED THE WIPER , THE RADIO , EVERYTHING WOULD TURN ON WITHOUT A SWITCH BEENING TURNED ON......I NEARLY HAD A HEAD ON THAT DAY 2/28/2018 BECAUCE I HAD LIMITED STEERING AND BRAKES WHEN THE CAR BLOW UP , CAN SOMEONE AT THIS AGENCY HELP WITH ANYOF THESE PROBLEMS, ALSO THERE WAS SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURIES THAT DAY AS WELL.. PLEASE REPLY, I HAVE FOUND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ONLINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS , ALWAYS 2012 -2013 DODGE JOURNEYS WITH 2.4 LITER ENGINES PLEASE HELP.....
The electrical is so messed up the battery drains within hours, I have shorts in all aspects of this car(Bluetooth, navigation, clicking relays nonstop, heat goes out intermittently, power switches on doors. I saw my headlights surging in power in the middle of nowhere, they would get bright, then go dim, then a battery icon illuminated on my dashboard before my car downshifted so hard I almost lost control of the car. The dealer replaced my motor mounts and my alternator, after calling to say my battery is bad and then turned around and said it wasn’t. Not to mention my brakes locked up in a little rain and I couldn’t stop crashing through a wall. Replaced my rear light turning bulb and it exploded with fire when I went to change it. The suspension is horrible and I am pretty sure my cv axles are all broken. Everything keeps breaking. Lifter Taps intermittently, rough idling and hard shifting. Key fob doesn’t start car or is recognized with fresh batteries in it. When I jump start it sometimes the horn goes off for a minute. The reverse camera goes out for days and randomly comes on again. Under the hood feels so extremely hot and for some reason it doesn’t register as overheating. Even when I check fluids and for the coolant levels are low for some reason. There is an actuator That constantly is going off under the dash. Airbags didn’t deploy when i hit the wall at all. The limp mode has come on and gone off a few times. Only codes I have is for tps and an outdoor ambient temperature sensor that says it’s either negative 40 degrees or 122 degrees. Which won’t let me clear nor allow me to remote start. Warranty is gone and when you take the fuse box cover off under the hood(just the cover) it goes haywire shaking and lights all over the dash and I have to shut the car off. Yes somebody please inspect this vehicle. The absolute worst vehicle I owe 12k on and I can’t afford to fix all of this that’s shutting down at the same time
I HAD A ABS LIGHT AND ESC LIGHT APPEAR, PULLED INTO GAS STATION. APPROACHED THE FUEL PUMPS AND PRESSED THE BRAKES AND SLID ON THE ICY PAVEMENT (SNOWY MICHIGAN) INTO THE GAS PUMP PROTECTORS MADE OF CONCRETE. COULDN'T CONTROL THE VEHICLE @~8MPH SLIGHTLY TURNED APPROACHING A GAS PUMP ON WET/ICY CONCRETE.
MY CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 60MPH REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.

IN AN ACCIDENT ON ACCESS RD OF IH 35 AND A CAR ON A SIDE STREET DID NOT STOP AT THE STOP SIGN THEY WENT THROUGH IT AND T BONED ME . THE WHOLE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR WAS DAMAGED. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR AND NEITHER OF THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED.
