VEHICLE ROLLOVER ACCIDENT,AUTOMATIC SEAT BELT DID NOT HOLD,RESULTING IN A FATAL LOSS. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH A FIRE STARTED WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, CAUSING THE FUEL TANK TO ERUPT. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 1995 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SUFFERED A FRACTURED C7 AND T5 VERTEBRAE. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL AND THEN TO UVA MEDICAL CENTER TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT FACILITY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE OFFICE OF CHIEF COUNSEL WOULD RESPOND WITHIN 15 DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH CONSUMER HIT THE SIDE OF A FLAT BED TRAILER, CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES, AFTER CONSUMER PARKED AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND EXITED, THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. *YD
AIR BAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING BURNS AND RIPPING OF SKIN. AIR BAG HAS CERTAIN TOXIC MATERIAL THAT AFFECTED CONSUMER INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY.*AK
WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON I15 WHEN TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME CAME TO STOP. I SLOWED MY RANGER TO LESS THEN 10 MPH WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO MOVE ON. A MAN DRIVING A IZUZU TROOPER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE TRAFFIC STOPPAGE AND SLAMMED INTO THE REAR OF MY RANGER AT APPROX 40 MPH.THE IMPACT SENT ME BACKWARDS SLAMMING MY HEAD THROUGH THE BACK WINDOW OF MY "SUPERCAB" TRUCK. I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT AND HAD MY SEATBACK IN A NORMAL UPRIGHT POSITION. ONCE I GOT MY WITS ABOUT ME 5 MINUTES LATER I NOTICED THAT MY SEAT BACK WAS FULLY RECLINED AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. MY BACK WINDOW BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY MISSING AS A RESULT OF MY HEAD HITTING IT. I ONLY RECEIVED A MODERATE HEAD INJURY (3 STAPLES TO HOLD IT TOGETHER) BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. SHOULD MY SEAT BACK GIVE OUT LIKE THIS DURING A REAR IMPACT???? I FEEL I WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE IF THE SEAT HAD HELD. PLEASE SEND ME A REPLY WITH AN ENGINEERS ANALYSIS (OPINION). I CAN E-MAIL PICTURES OF THIS ACCIDENT IF IT HELPS. THANKS BRIAN LABREE. *AK
AIRBAG FAILED. FIRST ACCIDENT DRIVER WAS REAR ENDED AT 45MPH; THE OTHER TIME, DRIVER REAR ENDED SOMEONE ELSE. BOTH TIMES AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
VEHICLE WAS IN A 12 O'CLOCK CRASH AT 60MPH, DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK

DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT FAILURE, SEAT BELT UNLATCHED BY ITSELF, CAUSING DRIVER TO BE EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE. TT
WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. *AK
BRAKES LOCKED UP A 50 MPH, HIT LARGE GRASS/DIRT BANK AT 40 MPH APROX. AND AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
I WAS DRIVING MY 1995 FORD RANGER IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. IT PROCEEDED TO JUMP A CURB AND HIT A TREE AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. *JB
CONSUMER WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE & SUDDENLY VEHICLE ACCELERATED. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO STOP VEHICLE. BRAKES WERE PRESSED COMPLETELY TO THE FOORBOARD. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY A 2,000 CONCRETE BARRIER. INSURANCE COMPANY WAS TAKING OVER. CONSUMER HAS BEEN INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER. *AK
WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED ON WET CONDITIONS THEY GRAB AND BECOME HARD AND GRAB, AND OFTEN TIMES THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR , RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING, ONCE CAUSING A MINOR COLLISION. DEALER HAS REPLACED THE FRONT DISC PADS . MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF CONSUMER, AND CONSUMER HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SIDE AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH THE VEHICLE HAD A DIRECT RIGHT FRONTAL IMPACT WITH A TREE IN WHICH DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, WHICH DID NOT PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN THIS ACCIDENT. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE WAS STARTED. THE RPM'S STARTED REVVING HIGH & THEN IT SUDDENLY TOOK OFF. WAS PRESSING BRAKES HARD, BUT FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE. VEHICLE EVENTUALLY FLIPPED OVER. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 35 MPH FRONTAL CRASH IN WHICH THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE FURTHER DETAILS.
