I HIT A PARKED CAR WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH. THE DRIVERS AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.I SUFFERED MAJOR INJURYS. I HAD A CONCUSIN AND SUBDURAL HEMOTOMA AND HAD STITCHES IN MY MOUTH. THE AIR BAG WOULD HAVE SAVED ME ALOT OF PAIN
I WAS BELTED IN AND HIT A STREET SIGN THEN A 6 FOOT TALL STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN JUST ABOUT SAND HILL AND THEN A TREE. IMPACT WAS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO BRAKE MY BACK FOR SUDDEN STOP. THE ACCIDENT WAS MAY 5, 2016 AND IT WAS A DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENT BUT THAT SHOULDN'T MATTER AS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY AIRBAG INSTEAD OF SNAPPING MY BACK.. I HAVE HAD SERIOUS MEMORY LOSS DUE TO PRIOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS. I LOVE TOYOTA BUT I BELIEVE SOMETHING WENT TERRIBLY WRONG THAT NIGHT AS IMPACT SHOULD HAVE SET OFF DRIVER AIRBAG. MY PASSENGERS DIDN'T BUCKLE UP BUT I DID AND I WAS HURT THE WORSE.. OH AND YES I AM EXPECTING TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE IN YOUR COMPANY OR LAW FIRM TO KNOW IF I NEED A LAWYER OR NOT. THANK YOU .. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN ORDER HAVE THE BRAKE OVERRIDE SYSTEM INSTALLED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED THE BRAKES FELT SPONGY. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOWED DOWN CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE REAR END OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUFFERED A MINOR BACK INJURY. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL MECHANIC TO EXAMINE THE BRAKES WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE BRAKES WERE FAULTY. THE MECHANIC ALSO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SINCE THE WARRANTY WAS VALID. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING SINCE THE DEALER INSTALLED THE BRAKE OVERRIDE SYSTEM A WEEK PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
Our son hit a guardrail and the airbags didn't deploy. Accident and failure was reported to insurance company
AUXILIARY AUDIO JACK IS DESIGNED POORLY CAUSING FAILURE. FRONT TURN SIGNAL BOTH SIDES YELLOW BULB THE CONNECTOR FOR THE BULB AND THE BULB ITSELF BLACKENS AND IS FRAGILE. FAKE FRONT BUMPER COVER IS MISLEADING AND FALSELY GIVES A FEELING OF SAFETY. ACTUAL BUMPER IS QUITE SMALL AND MAY LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF A MODERATE OVERLAP COLLISION. THE ACCIDENT OR COLLISION OCCURRED WITH A MODERATE OVERLAP HITTING LEFT 1/4 OF FRONT BUMPER THE FRONT LEFT FENDER WAS PUSHED INTO THE DOOR CAUSING MORE BODY DAMAGE THAN SHOULD HAVE OCCURRED. *TR

2010 TOYOTA TACOMA NEW VEHICLE OWNED LESS THAN 2 MONTHS WITH 1200 MILES ON VEHICLE. APPROACHING RED LIGHT HAD TAKEN FOOT OFF ACCELERATOR TO SLOW, UPON PLACING FOOT ON BRAKE , REALIZED, VEHICLE WAS NOT SLOWING. STANDING HARDER ON BRAKE, IT HELD THE TRUCK BACK ENOUGH TO BUMP INTO CAR INFRONT OF ME. TRUCK CONTINUED TO PUSH THE VEHICLE INFRONT OF ME, WITH REAR WHEELS SPINNING ON WET ROADWAY...I JAMMED SHIFT LEVER INTO PARK POSITION WITH MOTOR AND TIRES STILL SPINNING TO FINALLY STOP IT. NOT APPARENT DAMAGE TO EITHER VEHICLE OR INJURIES KNOWN. TOOK TRUCK LOCAL DEALER TO CHECK DIAGNOSIS AND VEHICLE. THEY FOUND NOTHING , COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM AND TEST DRIVE. I CURRENTLY HAVE TRUCK PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. WILL NOT DRIVE IT BECAUSE I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE AND HAVE REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO TOYOTA HQS REF # 1008262334. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER TOYOTA OF BROOK HEAVEN LOCATED AT 890 BROOKWAY BLVD, BROOKHAVEN, MS 39601 MS. WHO REPAIRED THE FAILURE BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE HVAC FAN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BURNED AND MELTED. I COULD SMELL BURNING INSIDE MY TRUCK. MY MECHANIC FOUND THE HVAC BLOWER FAN CONNECTION HAD BEEN SO HOT IT BURNED AND MELTED ALONG WITH THE RESISTOR. SOME OF THE WIRES WERE BLACK AND BROWN. I WAS WORRIED THE TRUCK WAS GOING TO CATCH ON FIRE! THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE I FOUND I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN! TOYOTA DENIED THE PROBLEM. *TR

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

SINCE THIS VEHICLE HAD 5000 MILES ON IT I HAVE HAD CLUTCH ISSUES. HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 5 TIMES FOR CLUTCH ISSUES AND IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP NOW. THE CLUTCH IS BURNING UP, THOUGHT THE TRUCK WAS GOING TO CATCH FIRE A FEW WEEKS AGO. THERE HAS BEEN A TSB ON THIS ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED EVERYTHING ON THE LAST SERVICE. IT HAS FAILED AGAIN WITH ON 3,000 MILES ON THIS NEW CLUTCH. THE VEHICLE IS A LITTLE OVER 1 YEAR OLD AND CURRENTLY HAS 23,000 MILES ON IT. TOYOTA IS GIVING ME THE RUN A ROUND AND NOW WANTS ME TO PAY FOR WARRANTY WORK. I HAVE REPEATEDLY TOLD THEM THEY HAVE A WEAK DESIGN CLUTCH, MADE FOR A 2 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IN A 4X4 TRUCK. WE THINK THE CLUTCH SLIPPED SO MUCH A FEW AGO IT REALLY DID CATCH FIRE, IT SMOKED FOR 10 MINUTES AFTER I TURNED THE TRUCK OFF. I HAVE FILED WITH THE HOUSTON BBB AND FILED WITH TOYOTA. I NEED HELP *JS
WERE PULLING OUT AND SMELL OF GAS FILLED UP THE CAB, JERKING OCCURRED. EXPERIENCES OF INTERMITTENT ACCELERATION HAD BEEN OCCURRING FOR A VERY LONG TIME AS BEEN MADE AWARE OF RECENTLY. SMELL OF GAS HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. VEHICLE NOW PARKED OUTSIDE AND WILL NOT DRIVE UNTIL IT CAN BE FIXED OR REPLACED, HAVE BEEN WARNED OF POTENTIAL AIR BAG FAILURE IN JAPANESE PLANTS FOUND LAST WEEK IN THIS MODEL. THIS VEHICLE IS THE ONLY CAR WE HAVE, PAID ON IT FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I HAVE PAID A LOT OF MONEY TO LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO KEEP SERVICE UP TO DATE, THEY HAVE BEEN DIFFICULT WITH ME EVEN THOUGH I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON IT. I JUST HAD THE SERVICES DONE, AND HAD TO PAY FOR THEM, AND EVEN THOUGH I THOUGHT THEY WERE DOING A GOOD JOB, MY BATTERY DIED AND I PULLED THE HOOD OPEN AND THERE WAS CORROSION EVERYWHERE ON BATTERY AND UNDER THE HOOD, I AM GOING TO LOOK UNDER THE ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN IN THE MORNING AFTER LOOKING AT THIS NEW RECALL AND I WILL REPORT TO TOYOTA FINANCIAL SERVICES IN THE MORNING. AT THIS POINT I AM DISGUSTED WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, I HAVE PURCHASED MY LAST THREE TOYOTAS THERE AND I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE EVERY AGAIN, IN FACT AFTER THESE PAST THREE YEARS OF CONTINUAL RECALLS AND SAFETY HAZARDS, AS WELL AS THEM NOT BEING FIXED CORRECTLY OR NOT BEING REIMBURSED FOR MY TIME OR EXPENSES BEING LOST FROM THIS VEHICLE NOT BEING REPAIRED CORRECTLY WHEN MINE AND MY CHILDREN'S LIVES ARE AT STAKE AND MY CLIENT'S THAT I SEE IN CLINICAL THERAPY, I WILL NEVER CONSIDER PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THE TOYOTA COOPERATION EVERY AGAIN. *TR
I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WITH THE DRIVER'S WINDOW DOWN, WHEN A RUNNING DEER MADE CONTACT WITH MY DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR WITH IT'S HEAD. THE MIRROR WAS VIOLENTLY SHUT INTO IT'S FOLDED-IN POSITION CAUSING THE MIRROR TO SHATTER AND PROJECT LARGE AND SMALL PIECES OF VERY SHARP GLASS ACROSS THE DASHBOARD AND FORWARD AREA OF THE CABIN. DAMAGE THAT WAS DONE IN THE GLASS' PATH WERE CUTS ON MY LEFT HAND, SLICE MARKS ON THE STEERING WHEEL COVER, AND PUNCTURE MARKS ON THE DASHBOARD, PASSENGER-SIDE A-PILLAR, AND PASSENGER-SIDE DOOR PANEL. INCORRECT MIRROR MATERIAL AND/OR PROPER BACKING MATERIAL PLAYED PARTS IN WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A CATASTROPHIC EVENT IF THE DEBRIS FIELD WAS DIRECTED TOWARDS THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER (IF THERE WAS ONE). THE MIRROR MATERIAL WAS NOT SAFETY GLASS OR MADE FROM OF A SHATTER-RESISTANT MATERIAL. THE BACKING MATERIAL SURFACE CONTACT AREA WITH THE BACK OF THE MIRROR WAS ONLY ABOUT 45% OF THE MIRROR'S SURFACE AREA.
2010 Toyota Tacoma with 91K miles have frame corrosion and now has holes. I contacted Toyota motor sales USA, Inc. and informed them why I NEVER received a recalled and they said it was mailed May 2019 and expired in 2022-there’s nothing they can do and if I went to the dealership for my inspections they would of known of the recall instead of going to an independent dealer. I’ve attached current photos showing the extent of corrosion over the years. Unbelievable, the recall should still be open.
