THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THE VIN DID NOT FALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:04V480000(AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 170,000.

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS RAN OFF THE ROAD BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, CAUSING CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A STOP SIGN AT ABOUT 35 MPH. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY OWNER.*AK *NM
VEHICLE WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO AN INTERSECTION AND WAS HIT IN THE FRONT ON DRIVER'S SIDE QUARTER PANEL. OWNER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH WHILE THE ONCOMING VEHICLE WAS GOING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. OWNER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, AND WAS INFORMED THAT ONLY IF THE VEHICLE WAS HIT IN A CERTAIN SPOT WILL THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY. OWNER SUSTAINED INJURIES, AND WAS TAKEN FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT. ALSO, THE VAN WAS TOTALED. *AK

WHILE TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. CONSUMER AVOIDED THE OTHER VEHICLE BY SKIDDING INTO A DITCH. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD AND BACK INJURIES,BUT REFUSED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CONSUMER'S RESIDENCE.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 60 MPH VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED SINCE A RECALL LETTER WAS RECEIVED FOR NHTSA RECALL 04V48000. *AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WHEN A DRUNKEN DRIVER COLLIDED WITH CAR FROM THE REAR. CONSUMER'S VEHICLE ALSO COLLIDED WITH A CAR POSITIONED IN FRONT. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED SERIOUS INJURIES.*AK
WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO THE PARKING LOT. A VEHICLE COLLIDED AND HIT THE VEHICLE HEAD ON IN THE PARKING LOT. BOTH AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER SUSTAINED HEAD NECK AND LEG INJURIES AND WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *JB *SC
COLLISION AT 30 PLUS MILES PER HOUR AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FRONT OF THE VAN STRUCK ANOTHER CAR ON THE SIDE TRAVELING AT 30 MILES PER HOUR. CAUSING SEVERE NECK AND BACK INJURIES. *AK .
AIR BAG FAILURE: (ALLSTATE CLAIM# 4706508639, POLICY# 099082579) BOTH FRONT AIRBAGS FAILED IN MY 1999 DODGE CARAVAN (4 CYC) IN A COLLISION INVOLVING MULTIPLE IMPACTS, REAR AND FRONT. *JB MY EST. SPEED WAS 35. EST. SPEED OF PERSON WHO HIT ME FROM BEHIND WAS 55. THE PERSON WHO HIT ME WAS INATTENTIVE AND NEVER APPLIED BRAKES BEFORE HITTING ME. I HAD 6 TEENAGERS IN MY VEHICLE AT THE TIME. I WAS HIT 3 TIMES FROM BEHIND, WHICH FORCED ME TO HIT THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME TWICE. I SUFFERED A CONTUSION IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD AND WHIPLASH. MY DAUGHTER AND 2 OF HER FRIENDS COMPLAINED OF PAINS AT THE BASE OF THEIR SKULLS AS WELL. HER FRIENDS REFUSED TREATMENT. MY DAUGHTER WAS SITTING IN FRONT WITH ME.
I NOTIFIED THE FIRST INCIDENT TO THE DEALER ABOUT ITS SPEED SENSOR, OVER THE PHONE, WHICH BLEW AWAY JUST AFTER THE TWO WEEKS OF BUYING THIS CAR FROM HIS SHOWROOM. LAST MONTH, THE BREAK WENT BAD AND WERE NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY, I HAD TO END UP REPLACING THE ROTOR AND COMPLETE BRAKE SET, PAYING AROUND $300 FROM MY POCKET, FROM A MIDAS IN PENNSYLVANIA. THE THIRD INCIDENT WAS MOST DANGEROUS, AND DON'T KNOW HOW I SAVED THE LIFE OF MY TWO LITTLE KIDS INCLUDING THE ONE WITH 11MONTHS INFANT BABY, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BLEW AWAY WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY AND LOST CONTROL ON THE DOWNHILL, IN THE CITY OF NORRISTOWN, SINCE ITS BREAK AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM WENT OFF DUE TO THE FAILURE OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND I EVENTUALLY TOOK A GREAT RISK OF PULLING THE CAR ALL BE MYSELF ON THE SIDEWALK AND SOMEHOW PROTECTED EACH OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS. THIS CAR IS PROVEN TO BE VERY UNSAFE AND DOES NOT WORTH THE LIFE OF MY KIDS AND MY FAMILY. I SINCERELY REQUEST TO HELP ME HAVE MY MONEY BACK AT THE EARLIEST. THE DEALER IS VERY RUDE AND ROUGH OVER THE PHONE AND DOES NOT LET ME SPEAK AT ALL. IT TOOK ME SEVERAL YEARS TO SAVE THIS MONEY TO BUY THIS CAR BUT THE DEALER HAS REALLY DECEIVED ME BY GIVING A FAULTY CAR. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS CAR DID NOT UNDERGO FOR ANY KIND OF SAFETY INSPECTION AS LONG AS IT WAS SITTING IN HIS SHOWROOM AND I AM VERY AFRAID OF DRIVING NOW. *TR
MY MINI VAN WAS INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT AND THE IMPACT WAS WAS HARD AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DIPLOY.I AM VERY THANKFULL THAT NO ONE WAS HURT BUT MY CAR IS NOW TOTAL.I AM VERY CONSERNED ABOUT THE AIR BAGS.

I WENT FORWARD AND CUT MY NOSE ON THE SUNVISOR AND THEN SLAMMED MY HEAD BACK IN TO THE HEADREST. I THINK I WENT FORWARD AND BACK AGAIN, AND THEN THE SEAT BACK COLLAPSED AND I WENT DOWN.*AK
I WAS STOPPED, WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED BY A 95 PATHFINDER. POLICE ESTIMATED THAT HE WAS DOING ABOUT 25 WHEN HE IMPACTED ME. MY SEAT BELT/SHOULDER STRAP HELD, BUT I WENT FORWARD AND CUT MY NOSE ON THE SUN VISOR, THEN MY HEAD SLAMMED BACKWARD IN TO MY HEADREST. I THINK I WENT FORWARD AND BACK AGAIN, AND THEN THE SEAT BACK COLLAPSED AND I FELL IN TO THE MIDDLE SEAT.
MY WIFE LOADED THE KIDS IN THE VAN. MY SON REMOVED HIS SEATBELT. MY WIFE GOT OUT OF THE DRIVER SET TO PUT HIM BACK IN HIS SEAT, AND MY DAUGHTER REACHED OVER AND ACCIDENTLY PUT THE VAN IN GEAR. THE VAN TOOK OFF HITTING THE SIDE OF MY HOME AND TAKING THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OFF. DODGE SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE TO INSTALL A DEVICE TO PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION FROM GOING IN TO GEAR WITH OUT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE FIRST (OTHER MANUFACTURES D0). DOES THIS GO UNDER STANDARD 102? *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH IMPACT WITH $5000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING INJURIES TO DRIVER, EVEN WITH SEATBELT WORN. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 58 MPH VEHICLE RAN OVER AN ICE PATCH, AND SPUN OUT OF CONTROL OVER THE DIVIDER ONTO CURB. UPON IMPACT, BOTH AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. ALSO, DRIVER'S SIDE SHOULDER BELT FAILED TO LOCK PROPERLY. DRIVER SUSTAINED A MINOR INJURY. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK *ML
