HERE'S A DEAD GUY FROM A BAD DODGE CARAVAN CLOCKSPRING THAT YOU REFUSE TO RECALL BEYONG FY2000. WHAT IS IT YOU GOVERNMENT GALLOOFS DO ALL DAY? NEW YORK - A FAMED STRONGMAN WHO ONCE LIFTED 3,200 POUNDS AT CONEY ISLAND DURING ITS HEYDAY AND WAS STILL BENDING QUARTERS WITH HIS FINGERS AT AGE 104 DIED MONDAY AFTER HE WAS HIT BY A MINIVAN. JOE ROLLINO WAS STRUCK AS HE CROSSED A MAJOR STREET IN BROOKLYN, AND SUFFERED A BROKEN PELVIS, HEAD TRAUMA AND BROKEN RIBS. HE DIED A FEW HOURS LATER AT AN AREA HOSPITAL. POLICE SAID THE DRIVER WAS GOING THE SPEED LIMIT AND HAD NOT BEEN DRINKING. NO CRIMINALITY IS SUSPECTED, BUT THE DRIVER WAS ISSUED A SUMMONS FOR A DEFECTIVE HORN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2001 DODGE CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE SECOND ROW DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT FRACTURED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, CHEST, AND ANKLE. THE FRONT PASSENGER RECEIVED A SPRAINED ANKLE AND THE OTHER OCCUPANT RECEIVED A BROKEN WRIST, BROKEN STERNUM, AND A CRACKED PELVIS/HIP. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.

2001 DODGE CARAVAN REAR SHOULDER STRAPS WILL NOT CATCH IN CRASH, FRONT BELTS WORKED FINE BUT ALL OF REAR SEAT BELTS WILL NOT CATCH IF YOU JERK ON THEM YOU CAN SEE THEY DON'T CATCH AND THEY DID NOT CATCH MY DAUGHTER AND SHE WAS BADLY INJURED. *NM UPDATED 03/31/06. *JB
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE HIT AN ICE PATCH IN THE ROAD. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKES FAILED, AND VEHICLE SPUN AROUND, AND WENT INTO A RAVINE. WHILE GOING DOWN, CONSUMER HIT A TREE WHICH STOPPED THE VEHICLE. DRIVER'S SEAT BACK RECLINED, LAYING THE CONSUMER COMPLETELY DOWN. SOMEHOW SHE THEN SLID OUT OF THE SEAT BELT, AND LANDED IN THE BACK SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT STILL ENGAGED. *AK SINCE THE ACCIDENT CONSUMER'S SHOULDER/NECK, AND HEAD ARE IN CONSTANT PAIN.DIFFICULTY FOCUSING, AN DIS UNABLE TO DRIVE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME DUE TO PAIN. *AK
THE CONSUMER WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN, AND A SEMI TRAILER HIT THE CONSUMER. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER AND NONE OF THE FRONT OF SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. TS SCC
MR.GERALD LOTTO IS AN ATTORNEY ON BEHALF OF SHERRI CAPONE STATING THAT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING A COLLISION. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND MS. CAPONE SUSTAINED EXTENSIVE FACIAL INJURIES. *TT
GOT REAR ENDED AND SEAT BROKE SENDING DRIVER ACROSS VAN WITH SEAT BELT IN TAC. *TR
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *JB
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT, CONSUMER COULD NOT STOP VEHICLE ON TIME AND CRASH INTO REAR OF OTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.*AK
PULLED VEHICLE OUT OF GARAGE AND SHORTLY AFTER FIRE STARTED TO COME UP OUT OF THE DASH. COMPLETE LOSS. CALLED FIRE DEPARTMENT TO TRY TO PUT THE FIRE OUT BUT IT SPREAD IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.. THIS WAS NOT MY CAR BUT MY MOTHER IN LAWS. *TR
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2001 DODGE CARAVAN SE AND HAD ENGINE & ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. JUST A FEW MONTHS LATER, WHILE DRIVING OVER THE BRIDGE OUT OF NEW YORK CITY, THE CAR FILLED UP WITH WHITE SMOKE OF A REALLY TOXIC SMELL. GREENISH BROWN FLUID LEAKED OUT AT MY FEET. SEVERAL TIMES I WENT TO HAVE IT FIXED, ALL THE FLUIDS WOULD LEAK OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR, I WOULD TAKE IT BACK TO ONLY HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. FINALLY THEY CLAMPED A HOSE UNDERNEATH THE CAR CAUSING FLUIDS TO SWISH BACK AND FORTH IN THE DASH AREA SHORTING OUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MY LIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON AND OFF. (VERY DANGEROUS VEHICLE WITH CHILDREN). WENT THROUGH THE LEMON LAW UNIT WITH A JUDGE THAT DID NOT USUALLY WORK IN THAT COURT, AND LOST THE CASE AFTER PAYING A LAWYER $2000. THAT WENT OUT ON DISABILITY! I HAD NO JUSTICE AND STOPPED PAYING ON THE CAR. IT WAS REPOSSESED AND SOMEONE ELSE IS PROBABLY DRIVING AROUND WITH THIS CAR! *NM
OWNED A 2001 DODGE CARAVAN THAT CAUGHT ON FIRE. FIRE CAME FROM UNDERNEATH THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH BOARD IN THE CENTER. THE CAR WAS TOTALED AS WELL AS MY OTHER CAR AND GARAGE DOOR. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 DODGE CARAVAN SPORT. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED AND CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO MAKE A POPPING NOISE. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT HAD TO USE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. SUDDENLY, THE STEERING WHEEL DID A HARD RELEASE AND RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE HARD RELEASE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO RECEIVE INJURIES TO THE HAND, WRIST, AND ARM. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
SEAT BACK ON THE CAPTAINS CHAIR LOCATED ON REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DID NOT LOCK IN PLACE, RESULTING IN CHILD BEING INJURED. CHILD SUSTAINED A BLACKENED EYE FROM HITTING THE DRIVER'S SEAT. *AK CONSUMER STATED THAT REAR SEAT DIDN'T LATCHED PROPERLY CAUSING THE SEAT TO PIVOT FORWARD. BROUGHT SEAT TO THE DEALER AND FOUND THAT THE MECHANISM THAT LOCKS CHAIR WAS FROZEN. *LA
IN THE 3RD ROW OF SEATS IN MY 2001 DODGE MINIVAN, A PASSENGER LEFT THE SEATBACK IN A SEMI-RECLINED POSITION. I LEANED IN TO RELEASE THE SEATBACK TO FULL UPRIGHT. WHEN I ENGAGED THE RELEASE, THE SEATBACK SNAPPED FORWARD WITH GREAT SPEED AND FORCE ALL THE WAY DOWN UNTIL IT RESTED ON THE SEAT. IN ITS PATH DOWNWARD, IT FAILED TO STOP IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. THE TOP OF THE SEAT STRUCK FULL IN MY FACE, BREAKING MY GLASSES, CAUSING A BRUISE AND ABRASION TO MY NOSE. IN SUBSEQUENT TESTS, THE SEATBACK ALWAYS FAILED TO STOP IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. *LA
CONSUMER STATES WHILE COMING DOWN RAMP, THE DOOR FRAME HAS A PIECE OF METAL THAT STICKS OUT, CONSUMERS CLOTHING GOT CAUGHT ON METAL AND ARM WAS MUTALATED AND FRACTURED. CONSUMER FEELS THIS PIECE OF METAL IS VERY UNSAFE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*JB
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP AND CHILD IN SAFETY SEAT IN REAR END OF VEHICLE WAS NOT RETAINED DUE TO SAFETY SEAT BELT FAILRE AND WAS THROWN OUT FROM CAR SEAT.*AK
There is no incident, however I would like to report a manufacturer problem. Many manufacturers put vehicles on the market with front headlights that are too bright and not aimed properly. See [XXX] There are regulations for the lumens of headlights and system of reflectors, but I assume manufacturers are not be watched for violations. Where I live, in Sarasota, FL, I am blinded by all the vehicle lights at night because lights appear to be on bright when they aren't. Something is very wrong. I don't think everyone is having aftermarket LED lights installed. I think they are coming from the manufacturers that way. Can you help?
