THIS TRUCK BURNED FROM THE BACK END MY SON WAS DRIVING AND WENT OFF THE ROAD ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND WHEN HE RETURNED TO PAVEMENT THE TRUCK WENT SIDEWAYS DOWN THE ROAD AND THEN WENT OFF ON THE LEFT SIDE AND CRASHED AND BURNED, BURNING MY SON AND A FRIEND TO DEATH. WHAT WAS SO BAD I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE OF A PROBLEM WITH THE ROLLOVER VALVE APPROXOMATELY 2-3 WEEKS AFTER THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED. *AK
1996 DODGE RAM 1500 RAN OF THE ROAD THROUGH A GUARDRAIL AND INTO A WOODEN LIGHT POLE, AND DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.*AK
THE REAR LEFT TIRE ON OUR PICKUP TRUCK BLEW THE TREAD LAYER OFF DOWN TO THE CORE OF THE TIRE. THE PICKUP HAD ABS BRAKES, BUT WITHOUT THE TREAD ON THE TIRE, CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY LOST, AND THE TRUCK WENT HEADFIRST INTO A CONCRETE HIGHWAY DIVIDER CAUSING THE TRUCK TO BE TOTALED AND INJURIES TO BOTH THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED AWAY AND THE TIRE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO OBTAIN INFORMATION REGARDING ORIGIN. THE TIRES WERE 255/15 GOODYEAR RADIALS. WE DO HAVE A PHOTO OF THE TIRE, HOWEVER, AFTER TOWING THE EXPLODED TREAD IS GONE AND ONLY THE CORE REMAINS.
WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 2/5/2007 THE HOOD ON THE 1996 DODGE RAM P/U FLEW OPEN, CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. JUST MISSING A BUS, THEN COMING TO A STOP AFTER HITTING THE CURB. THE HOOD WAS DAMAGED ALONG WITH THE WINDSHIELD, ALSO, FRONT END HIT THE CURB. DODGE REFUSED TO REPAIR AND REPLACE THE HOOD LATCH BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED THE PRIMARY LATCH WAS DEFECTIVE, THEY ONLY HAD A RECALL FOR THE SECONDARY LATCH. IN THE RECALL IT STATED THAT THE HOOD COULD OPEN IF THE PRIMARY LATCH WAS DEFECTIVE. IF THE SECONDARY LATCH WAS NOT DEFECTIVE IT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE HOOD FROM OPENING COMPLETELY. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY RECALL NOTICE FOR ANY DEFECTIVE HOOD LATCH. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED AND/OR KILLED OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN AFTER ENTERING I-95. DODGE SHOULD BE FORCED TO REPAIR ALL HOOD LATCHES ON THESE VEHICLES, ONE WAS NO GOOD WITHOUT THE OTHER. AFTER TAKING MY TRUCK TO A DODGE DEALER THEY LEFT THE HOOD COMPLETELY UNLATCHED, AND DID NOT REPLACE THE BUNGY CORD I HAD PLACED TO PREVENT THE HOOD FROM OPENING. WHEN WILL DODGE BE FORCED TO REPAIR THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM. AFTER SOMEONE IS INJURED. DODGE WAS NEGLIGENT IN ALLOWING THESE LATCHES TO BE KEPT ON THESE VEHICLES. *AK
1996 DODGE 1500 BRAKES FAILED. *TS WHILE BRAKING AT A TOLL BOOTH THE VEHICLE BRAKES FAILED AND RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE HITTING THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER VEHICLE SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO IT'S FRONT GRILL, FRONT BUMPER, THE HOOD WAS PUSHED BACK, THE RADIATOR WAS DAMAGED AND POSSIBLE ENGINE DAMAGE. THE CONSUMER INDICATED THAT HIS BACK AND NECK FELT TIGHT AFTER THE CRASH. THE OTHER VEHICLE SUSTAINED HEAVY REAR END DAMAGE. THAT VEHICLES OCCUPANT STATED THAT HIS HEAD AND LEGS HURT. *NM
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A T-BONE COLLISION AT 40 MPH, AND THE AIR BAGS WERE DELAYED 3 SECONDS OR MORE BEFORE DEPLOYING. THIS CAUSED CONSUMER'S HEAD TO HIT THE STEERING WHEEL, AND SUSTAIN RIB INJURIES. CONSUMER WAS NOT TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED.*AK *BF *NM
FAILED SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM CAUSING VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARD, AND RESULTING IN INJURIES TO DRIVER'S HIPS AND KNEE. DEALER / MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED; STILL WAITING ON MANUFACTURER TO RESPOND. PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING 35MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE VEERED INTO HER LANE AND HIT VEHICLE, KNOCKING IT ACROSS INTO A FIRE HYDRANT, SEATBELT DIDN'T CATCH. CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES. ALSO, DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. INVESTIGATOR TOLD CONSUMER THAT IT WASN'T A HARD DIRECT HIT. *AK *ML

VEHICLE FIRE ORIGINATED IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE AFTER A NEW FUEL ROLLOVER VALVE WAS INSTALLED AS PER MANUFACTURER'S RECALL 748. DRIVER SUFFERED INJURIES, AND VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.
WAS DRIVING IN WHITE OUT CONDITIONS ON FEB 14, 2015 AND HAD A ACCIDENT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT TOTALED MY TRUCK AND MY AIR BAG NEVER WENT OFF. *TR
ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON WITHIN 7 MINUTES HAD NO BRAKES DUE TO DRIVER SIDE BACK BRAKE LINE CORROSION. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY DODGE RAM 1996 VEHICLES. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. *TR
NOTHING LEADING UP TO EVENT EITHER INCIDENT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SECONDS BEFORE TIRE SEPARATED FROM VEHICLE BECAUSE BOLTS WERE SHEARED OFF, THERE WAS A SLIGHT VIBRATION. FIRST INCIDENT IN 1999, BOLTS SHEARED OFF FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHILE TRAVELING AT ABOUT 25 MPH, NO SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO TRUCK, REPAIRED AND HAD NO FURTHER PROBLEMS UNTIL 2005 WHEN TRAVELING 65 MPH BOLTS AGAIN SHEARED OFF FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE, AGAIN VIBRATIONS ABOUT A MINUTE BEFORE TIRE SEPARATED FROM VEHICLE. THIS TIME THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE, FORTUNATELY NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED TO THOSE IN VEHICLE OR OTHERS. CURRENTLY TRUCK IS IN FOR REPAIR, AGAIN USING CERTIFIED CHRYSLER PARTS, AND THEY ARE NEW AND INSTALLED CORRECTLY. WILL NEED AUTOBODY REPAIR THIS TIME DUE TO OTHER DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO VEHICLE. NEW TIRES WERE PUT ON CORRECTLY ABOUT 4000 MILES AGO WITH NO PROBLEMS TO THIS POINT EITHER. *NM
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE AND REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR OVER A MONTH AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK THE CONSUMER CONTACTED CHRYSLER WHO SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD WERE NO LONGER ILLUMINATED, THEY JUST FLASHED. *PH *JB
AFTER TRUCK'S ENGINE WAS STARTED THE GEAR SELECTOR WAS PLACED IN REVERSE SO AS TO BACK OUT OF GARAGE. A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD. THE GEAR SHIFT SELECTOR WAS RETURNED TO P. AS THIS HAPPENED THE TRUCK LURCHED FORWARD STRIKING THE GARAGE WALL. THE BUIDING AND TRUCK WERE DAMAGED. *AK
TRAVELING ON I-81 APPROX. 65MPH, IN PASSING LANE HEARD NOISE IN FRONT END, MOVED TO THE RIGHT LANE, NOISE SORT OF SUBSIDED THEN BECAME VERY LOUD AND HARD TO CONTROL STEERING, STARTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND SIGNALED TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY THEN A VERY LOUD BOOM , DOUBLE SLAM , TIRE AND WHEEL FLEW AND ROLLED FORWARD OFF THE ROAD. NOTIFIED BY A RELATIVE THE NEXT DAY THAT A LUG WAS FOUND INTACT OUTSIDE IN-LAWS RESIDENCE.*AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 15MPH ON A SIDE STREET AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT WENT BACK INTO BACK SEAT. BOLT AND ANCHOR BROKE. DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF PROBLEM. *AK
IF DRIVING WITH AIR CONDITIONING ON HIGH, INGNITION SWITCH GETS SO HOT IT WILL BURN YOUR HAND IF YOU TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF COLLUM, ALSO YOU LOOSE THE ENGINE IN TRAFFIC. BRAKES ON REAR NOT STRONG ENOUGH WITH LOAD
AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. AFTER TRAVELING 65MPH & HITTING A SMALL VEHICLE THAT PULLED IN FRONT OF HER. *AK A REPRESENTATIVE FROM CHRYSLER INSPECTED VEHICLE AND STATED IT WAS TWISTED AND BADLY DAMAGED, HOWEVER AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY DUE TO THE SITE OF IMPACT. *SLC
