AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AFTER VIOLENT ACCIDENT. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED THEN HIT FROM THE REAR AT ABOUT 65 MPH BY TOUR BUS, CAUSING IT TO LAND ON TOP OF VEHICLE IN FRONT, CONTINUING TO BE HIT AGAIN 3-4 TIMES UNTIL ROLLING TO A STOP UPSIDE DOWN. VEHICLE WAS HIT ON ALL SIDES. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED HEAD ON AND CAUSED THE CONTACTS VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED TEN MINUTES AFTER THE CRASH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE JAW, THE TEETH, AND THE FACE. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON THE 101 FREEWAY IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE CHANGED TO THE CENTER LANE ON DRY ASPHALT PASS A SLOWER MOVING CAR AND HEARD A LOUD NOISE. FACE IMPACTED THE STEERING WHEEL .DON,T RECALL ANYMORE THAN THAT DO HAVE AN ACCIDENT REPORT. THINK THE RIGHT REAR AXLE BROKE OR SOMETHING IN THE RIGHT FRONT SUSPENSION. TIE ROD OR BALL JOINT THE INSIDE OF THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL IS ESTROYED AND WAS OFF. THE TRUCK COMPLETE WITH LARGE BRACKET BROKEN TIE ROD AND BALL JOINTS AND ROTOR . OUTSIDE OF WHEEL IS NOT DAMAGED. RIGHT REAR WHEEL HAS THE BRAKE DRUM/DISC AND PART OF THE BROKEN OFF AXLE STILL BOLTED TO IT.. ALLPAR HAS A REPORT ON DODGE RAM AXLES BRAKING 2002 AND UP.STATES A NEW DESIGN IS IN PLACE FOR 2006. IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM..*AK TRUCK HIT A CONCRETE WALL AND SKIDDED TO A STOP IN THE THIRD LANE OF TRAFFIC ON FIRE UNDER THE FRONT END A FOLLOWING WITTNESS STATED SPARKS WERE FLYING THROUGH THE AIR.. THEY ALSO PUT OUT THE FIRE. MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DODGE DENIED ANY RESPONCIBILLITY A CLAIM WAS FILED HAVE THE LETTERS AND EMAIL. THE DEALERS ADDED FURTHER INJURY BY CHARGING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND HIGH INTEREST FOR A NEW MAGNUM SXT.MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO BUY THE RT MODEL.. I DO HAVE THE TWO WHEELS IN QUESTION AT THE SHOP I WORK AT TRI CITY TANSMISSION SERVICE. AND PHOTOS OF THE AFTERMATH.. AT THE BODY SHOP.THEY COULN'T BELIEVE I WALKED AWAY. I HAD A WRECK IN MY PICK / UP. I HIT SEVERAL TREES AND THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND AS A RESULT I HIT THE SEAT BELT HARD ENOUGH TO BREAK FOUR RIBS, AND HURT MY BACK. NOT TO MENTION THE STAB WOUND ON MY ANKLE. *TR
The contact owned a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while making a right turn into oncoming traffic, the vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck in front, where it came to a stop. No warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy during the collision. Additionally, the seat belts became inoperable and failed to restrain the contact, causing the contact to strike the windshield. The contact sustained a 2-inch cut that required 15 stitches, an eyelid injury that required 7 stitches, multiple bruises, and whiplash injuries, and was transported to a local emergency room for medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. The VIN was not available.
On 3/24/2022 my mother, Helen Mallazzo was involved in an accident in Queen Creek, Arizona. Police were called and a report was filed. When this accident occurred the seatbelts failed to restrain her and her dog and the airbags did not deploy, resulting in both of their heads hitting the windshield and leaving two large cracks in the windshield.

ENTERING OFF THE HIGHWAY RT 95 FELT VIBRATION THEN CAUGHT THE END OF THE CURB TRYING TO CONTROL IT WENT INTO THE GRASS, INTO A GUARD RAIL THEN ALSO INTO A HAS SITTERS MATERIAL DANGER WITH SIGNS ALL OVER IT BUILDING NEXT TO THE TOLLBOOTH BECAUSE IT WAS SLIPPERY GRASS I COULD NOT STOP THEN PROCEEDED TO SOMEHOW TOTALED TWO CARS ON THE OP. CIT. SIDE OF THE SMALL BUILDING THE PARK CARS THAT WERE WORKERS AT THE TOLLBOOTH IT WAS AN INDUSTRIAL PARK BUILDING AND I WANT THROUGH I HAVE YET TO GET ANY INFORMATION NOR GOT ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE FROM CHRYSLER DODGE OR ANYBODY I HAVE A MISSING TOOTH DUE TO THE ACCIDENT IT WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND I HAVE A POLICE REPORT AND HOSPITAL BILLS NO RENTAL BILLS AND THEN ON TO WORK IT'S JUST TERRIBLE WITH NO TRUCK .. WHILE APPLYING URGENT BRAKING AT FULL PEDAL FORCE DUE TO ANOTHER VEHICLE CHANGING LANES IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AT A MUCH LOWER SPEED, THE ABS SYSTEM FAILED TO FUNCTION, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SKID FOR TWO TO THREE SECONDS OVER AN UNKNOWN DISTANCE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY TWO TO THREE SECONDS APPLYING FULL FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND SKIDDING, THE PEDAL SUDDENLY RELEASED ALL RESISTANCE AGAINST THE DRIVER'S FOOT AND WAS ABLE TO BECOME FULLY-DEPRESSED AGAINST THE FLOORBOARD/FIREWALL OF THE VEHICLE. AT THE MOMENT OF THE EVENT, THE VEHICLE GAVE A VIOLENT SHUDDER AND ALL BRAKING POWER WAS LOST. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED FORWARD WITHOUT BRAKES UNTIL STRIKING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND COMING TO A FULL STOP, RESULTING IN MULTIPLE INJURIES AND A TOTAL LOSS OF THE VEHICLE. POST-COLLISION, THE VEHICLE'S BRAKE PEDAL WAS ABLE TO BE PRESSED COMPLETELY TO THE FLOORBOARD/FIREWALL OF THE VEHICLE WITH VERY LITTLE RESISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE SPEED WHEN BRAKING WAS INITIATED WAS BETWEEN 45 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR. POLICE RESPONDING TO THE COLLISION ESTIMATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES PER HOUR AT THE FINAL POINT OF COLLISION WITH THE SECOND VEHICLE INVOLVED ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT. *JS

ANOTHER SINGLE DRIVER VEHICLE RAN A STOP SIGN AND THE SINGLE DRIVER DODGE HIT THE DRIVER'S DOOR DIRECTLY AND DEPLOYED BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS AND TOTALED BOTH VEHICLES. THE DRIVERS AIR BAG LAUNCHED METAL INTO THE LEFT WRIST AND FOREARM OF THE DRIVER WHILE HIS HANDS WERE IN THE 10 AND 2 O'CLOCK STEERING WHEEL POSITIONS. THE LEFT WRIST LACERATIONS AND LARGE HEMATOMA REQUIRED HOSPITAL CARE AND LEFT SCARS. THE DRIVER ALSO SUFFERED LOWER BACK DAMAGE REQUIRING SURGERY. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALED IN JANUARY 2014 AND SENT FOR SALVAGE. ON DECEMBER 15, 2014 I RECEIVED A CHRYSLER SAFETY RECALL (P40/NHTSA 14V-354) ON THE AIR BAG INFLATORS OF THE 2004 DODGE RAM 1500. THE PROBLEM IN THE RECALL NOTICE IS DESCRIBED AS; EXCESSIVE INTERNAL PRESSURE, DURING AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT EVENTS, COULD RESULT IN AN INCREASED CHANCE OF OCCUPANT INJURY DURING CERTAIN CRASH CONDITIONS.
