WHEN MOVING VEHICLE AFTER FUELING, TRUCK WAS STOPPED, PUT IN PARK AND DRIVER OPENED THE DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE TRUCK UNEXPECTEDLY BEGAN MOVING BACKWARD AND THE DRIVER WAS KNOCKED TO THE GROUND BY THE DOOR. THE DOOR CAUGHT THE DOOR ON THE FUEL PUMP GUARD POST, BENDING THE DOOR BACK BEYOND 90 DEGREES AND BENDING THE HINGE, AND CAUSING IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND FENDER, AND ALSO CAUSED DAMAGE TO A CAR FUELING AT THE PUMP WHEN IT STRUCK IT. THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE PROPERLY.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE LOSES TOTAL POWER CAUSING LOSS OF TOTAL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS I WAS ROUDING A CURVE VEHICLE LOSS TOTAL POWER CAUSING ME TO LOSE TOTAL CONTROL OF VEHICLE IN RETURN CAUSIN ME TO HIT A BANK AND FLIP UPSIDE DOWN ON STREET. VEHICLE WOULD LOSE TOTAL POWER AT ANY GIVEN TIME WITH NO EXPLANATION. VEHICLE LOSS TOTAL POWER NUMEROUS TIMES ALMOST CAUSING NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS.*DT *TR
I WAS DRIVING A 2012 DODGE RAM 1500 IN MOTION, TRAVELING SOUTH ON HWY 20 AT 55 MPH. TOYOTA TUNDRA RAN STOP SIGN ON MCKENZIE RD/ HWY 20 AND WAS CITED FOR INFRACTION TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. TOYOTA TUNDRA HIT PASSENGER SIDE OF DODGE RAM CAB BROADSIDE CAUSING DODGE RAM TO ROLLOVER TWICE IN DITCH EVENTUALLY LANDING ON WHEELS AND STOPPING. DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS AND DRIVER FRONT AIR BAG DID NOT INFLATE IN DODGE RAM. ONLY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS INFLATED IN DODGE RAM. I WAS THE DRIVER OF THE DODGE RAM AND RECEIVED CONCUSSION FROM HITTING HEAD ON STEERING WHEEL AND NECK AND BACK INJURIES FROM HITTING DRIVER SIDE DOOR DURING ROLLOVERS. I WAS WEARING A SEATBELT. THE DODGE RAM AND TOYOTA TUNDRA WERE DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS BY INSURANCE COMPANY. THE IMPACT OF THE COLLISION WAS SEVERE ENOUGH TO DRASTICALLY IMPACT SPEED OF THE DODGE RAM AND CAUSE MAJOR VEHICLE DAMAGE DURING ROLL OVER. WHY DIDN'T DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOY? MY RAM 2012 TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH ON THE HIGHWAY I-83 NORTH BOUND IN PA. MY TRUCK WAS IN PARK WHEN IT WAS STRUCK FROM THE BEHIND BY A JEEP LIMITED. THE FORCE LAUNCHED MY TRUCK FORWARD AND HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME THAT WAS ABOUT 10-15 FEET AWAY. I AM GUESSING THE SPEED OF JEEP WHEN I WAS STRUCK WAS ATLEAST 40 MPH OR MORE. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOYED. THE DAMAGE TO MY TRUCK IS ALMOST $12,000. DAMAGES WERE TO THE FRONT, REAR, AND THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK. DAMAGES TO THE OTHER TWO VEHICLES WERE FAR WORST
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH ON A TWO LANE ROAD, TWO VEHICLES IN THE LEFT LANE WERE RACING. THE CONTACT HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID A HEAD ON COLLISION. WHEN THE CONTACT SWERVED TO THE RIGHT, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A CONCRETE BARRIER. THE VEHICLE FLIPPED OVER ONTO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THE FRONT END FRAME WAS BENT. THE DRIVER'S AND FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE FACE, SHOULDERS, AND EYES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT ALSO SUFFERED MEMORY LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER INVESTIGATED THE FAILURE AND CONCLUDED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TRAVELING FAST ENOUGH FOR THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRAVELING AT LEAST 18 MPH FOR THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 57184099. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT A BODY SHOP. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000. *DT*JB

PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT FELT AN ABNORMAL JOLT IN THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP, BUT A CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED MODERATE STIFFNESS, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE STRUCK A WALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THEN FLIPPED OVER ONTO ITS ROOF. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A JUNK YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. A DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PERFORMED AN INVESTIGATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,000. *TT *TR

2012 DODGE RAM 1500 WAS IN AN ACCIDENT SUSTAINING MODERATE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. SPEED LIMIT AT THE TIME OF IMPACT IS ESTIMATED TO BE OVER 10 MPH AND THE AIRBAGS DIDNT DEPLOY NOR ARE THERE ANY WARNINGS LIGHTS. BASED ON THE LOCATION OF THE DAMAGES AND THE FRAME SHIFTED, SHOULDNT THE AIRBAGS HAVE DEPLOYED?
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTY ROAD, ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN A STOP SIGN IN FRONT OF ME I SWERVED AND THE VEHICLE WENT AIRBORNE OFF THE ROAD AND IMPACTED HEAD ON TO OTHER SIDE OF THE DRAINAGE DITCH OFF THE ROAD. MY AIRBAG WAS NOT DEPLOYED AND MY HEAD IMPACTED THE STEERING WHEEL.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS INJURED IN A COLLISION. I WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED INJURING MY HEAD. I ENDED UP UNCONSCIOUS. 12 STITCHES TO MY HEAD AND A TBI (TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY). THE WRECK OCCURRED ON FEBRUARY 17, 2016 ON A RURAL ROAD HEADING TOWARD TOWN.
I HAD PUT MY 2012 RAM 1500 INTO PARK AND WALKED UP THE SIDEWALK, HAPPENED TO LOOK OUT AND IT WAS MOVING AND I RAN TO GET INTO IT TRYING TO STOP IT FROM HITTING OR CRASHING INTO SOMETHING. MY WIFE WAS IN A WRECK YESTERDAY SHE HIT A TRUCK IN THE REAR END AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY CAUSING HER FACIAL INJURIES ALSO A LATER SURGERY. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY SONS 2012 RAM 1500 4X4 CREW CAB WITH LESS THAN 20K ON THE ODOMETER BACK FROM TEXAS TO NORTH CAROLINA. I FELL ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL AND WE RAN INTO A PORTABLE TOW BEHIND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION SIGN, BOUNCED OFF A GUARD RAIL AND THEN ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES DOWN THE FREEWAY EMBANKMENT ON I-20 IN TUSCALOOSA ALABAMA. NOT ONE OF THE 6 AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. LUCKILY MY SON AND HIS TWO DAUGHTERS ESCAPED PRACTICALLY INJURY FREE, WITH ONLY MINOR ABRASIONS, HOWEVER I TOOK A BEATING TO THE HEAD AND AM STILL OUT OF WORK 1 MONTH LATER DUE TO HEAD/CONCUSSION INJURY. NONE OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS, SIDE IMPACT OR FRONTAL IMPACT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I DO HAVE PICTURES OF THE TRUCK, WHICH WAS TOTALED, TO VALIDATE THIS. I ALSO HAVE A COPY OF THE POLICE REPORT STATING NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WHAT SHOULD I DO? AND WHO ELSE SHOULD I CONTACT? *TR
TRAVELING APPROX 45MPH. ANOTHER DRIVER FAILED TO YIELD AND HIT MY VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT HEAD LIGHT. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS TRYING TO CROSS THE HIGHWAY GOING APPROX 15-25MPH. THE IMPACT WAS ALMOST A COMPLETE HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE DID NOT DEPLOY. MY PASSENGER AND I WERE BOTH TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE AND LATER RELEASED BY THE HOSPITAL. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS THE ONLY PERSON INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ALSO STATED THAT NO FAILURE OCCURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90.
Abs speed sensor not working causing the abs traction control and 4x4 not to work, also cruise control also won't work, truck spun out due to no abs and was stranded in winter condition not being able to use 4x4
Malfunction of electronic stability control while in 4x4 driving in heavy snow. Almost hit a light pole, could have caused significant harm. Unknown. No. No precursors. Hit a pot hole while on the on ramp unloading the suspension and the truck started to yaw clockwise. Applied throttle to have front end pull truck straight. ESC applied brakes and chopped power inducing a significant yaw rate counterclockwise driving the rear of the truck into the hard snow bank perpendicular to vehicle travel. Another excessive clockwise yaw occurred at this time. NO throttle control and brakes unresponsive. 1. Had the driver been allowed to retain throttle control upon initial yaw this was easily recoverable. 2. Anti-lock brakes, needed to be disabled so the truck could slide across the snow and not into the ditch when the second clockwise yaw started. 3. This caused minor body damage to the vehicle.
HAD RECALL 15V-459 COMPLETED AT JACK POWELL DODGE DEALERSHIP 06/09/2016. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COMPLETED RECALL REPAIR. AIRBAG LIGHT AND CHIME STILL CONTINUOUSLY AND INTERMITTENTLY WENT OFF WHILE ENGINE RUNNING. TRUCK SUFFERED FRONT END DAMAGE IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT 07/29/2016 REQUIRING NEW BUMPER, GRILL AND HOOD. THIS ACCIDENT WAS SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF. AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. STILL TODAY, AIRBAG CHIME AND SENSOR LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY / INTERMITTENTLY GOES OFF. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF THE TRANSMISSION IS IN PARK OR DRIVE; SEATS OCCUPIED OR EMPTY. I DONT BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL RECALL REPAIR WAS MADE AT DEALERSHIP.
