LEAKING DIESEL FUEL LINES(ALL LISTED ARE WITH ORIGINAL PURCHASER); FUEL GAUGE FAILURE; THROTTLE CABLE WEARING OUT. *NM
THE ENGINE STARTED WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN GEAR AND NO ONE IN THE VEHICLE, STARTER WOULD NOT DISENGAGE AND THE HEATING ELEMENT ON THE INTAKE EXPLODED AND CAUGHT FIRE. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE WITH ALL THE SAFETY EQUIPMENT TODAY. *AK
SOUND PAD TO CLOSE TO THE EXAUST PIPE HEADER ON 5.9 CUM. DIESEL ENGINE. BRAKES ARE VERY BAD IF YOU HAVE TO STOP QUICK. FROUNT WHEELS LOCK UP IN NORMAL BRAKING ON WET ROAD AND IN HARD STOPS WITH A LOAD OR TRAILER REAR BRAKES ARE WORTHLESS. TRANS MISSION LINES RUB TOGETHER WEARING HOLES IN THE IN THE LINES
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 20 MPH ON A SIDE ROAD. IT WAS RAINING AND VEHICLE HYDROPLANED INTO AN EIGHTEEN INCH WHEELER /TRACTOR TRAILER. TRACTOR DRAGGED CONSUMER'S VEHICLE 50 FEET DOWN THE HIGHWAY. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO CUT CONSUMER OUT OF VEHICLE. FRONTAL DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYED. BUT THE BAG CAME OUT AT FULL FORCE . THERE WAS A HOLE INSIDE THE AIR BAG AS A RESULT OF DEPLOYMENT. CONSUMER SUFFERED SECOND AND THIRD DEGREE BURNS. *AK
ON 8/12 HAD AIRBAG LIGHT CHECKED DUE TO COMING ON. MECHANIC SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH WHEN RAN OFF ROAD BY DRUNKEN DRIVER. HIT A TREE DEAD CENTER. DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. SEAT BELT HELD, BUT DRIVER SUFFERED WHIPLASH. VEHICLE'S DAMAGE APRROXIMATELY $10,000. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 DODGE RAM 2500. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE INTO A RAVINE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED, BUT THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. THE POLICE ARRIVED AND FILED A REPORT. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE STORE THAT SOLD HIM THE TIRES. A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE TIRE STORE STATED THAT THEY WOULD RECTIFY THE ISSUE WITH THE TIRE OR THE VEHICLE. THE TIRES WERE PURCHASED FROM LES SCHWAB LOCATED IN PINE VIEW, OREGON. THE TIRE INFORMATION WAS UNKNOWN BECAUSE THE CONTACT GAVE THEM BACK TO THE STORE. THE VIN AND MILEAGES WERE ALSO UNKNOWN.
1995 DODGE RAM 2500 4X4 WITH NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. CUSTOMER STATES HIS VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR A RECALL REPAIR AND THE FRONT COIL SPRING SEATS TO BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THEY WERE UNSAFE. HE STATED THE TRUCK NEEDED AND HAD OTHER REPAIRS TOO. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE RECALL. THE DEALER WELDED REINFORCEMENT BRACKETS TO THE TOWERS AND DID NOT CHECK FOR CRACKS. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED AS HE LEFT THE DEALER, HE HIT A BUMP AND THE HOOD POPPED OPEN. CONSEQUENTLY, THE CONSUMER CRASHED INTO THE JERSEY BARRIERS. *JB
1995 DODGE RAM 2500 WITH RECALLS CONCERNS CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE RECALLS HAVE NOT BEEN FIX BY THE DEALER AND IT ALMOST GOT HIM KILLED**CC THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH AND THE DEALER TOLD HIM THEY COULD NOT PERFORM THE RECALL, BECAUSE THE PRIMARY LATCH WAS DEFECTIVE. UPON LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP, THE CONSUMER HIT A BUMP AND THE HOOD FLEW UP OVER THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND SUBSEQUENTLY HIT A JERSEY BARRIER. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE DEALER DIDN'T PERFORM THE COIL SPRING TOWER RECALL SUFFICIENTLY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER DIDN'T USE A WRENCH, THEY JUST TACK WELDED THE PLATE ON EACH TOWER. THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSE TO TAKE 5 HOURS, HOWEVER THE CONSUMER STATED THEY WERE DONE IN 15 MINUTES. *JB
WHILE TRAVELING ABOUT 2 OR 3 MILES FROM HOME SUDDENLY THE HOOD FLEW UP AND OBSTRUCTED VIEW AND BROKE HOOD AND WINSHIELD. FORTUNETLY, THERE WAS NO OTHER TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD. THIS JUST HAPPENED AND WE LOOKED ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE HOOD AND THE LATCH. WE WILL CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND DISCUSS PROBLEM. PLEASE ADVISE OF NECESSARY STEPS. WHILE BACKING OUT OF A GARAGE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE, ALLOWING BRAKE PEDAL TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. POOR PERFORMANCE OF BRAKE SYSTEM CAUSED VEHICLE TO BACK INTO A CAR, CAUSING $700 DAMAGE. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT FRONT LEFT WHEEL BEARING WAS IN POOR CONDITION. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS.*AK TECHNICIAN REPLACED R&R LEFT FRONY WHEEL BEARING, HUB AND ROTOR ASSEMBLY, THE BRAKES ARE WEARING MORE ON INDOARD PAD, LEFT FRONT TIRE IS WORN ON THE INSIDE. ATTN FRANK BORRIS. UPON PUSHING THROTTLE TO WOT THE CABLE STUCK. I NOTICED THE PEDAL WOULDN'T RETURN AT ABOUT 35 MPH. I REACHED 80-90MPH BEFORE HITTING THE BRAKES. AT 40 MPH I PUT THE ENGINE IN NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF. I LOST STEERING AND MY POWER BRAKES AND WENT INTO A DITCH. I SUFFERED NO INJURIES AND MY TRUCK SUFFERED NO SERIOUS DAMAGE. I MANAGED TO FREE THE CABLE AND RETURN TO HOME WITH CAUTION AND LOW THROTTLE. I REPLACED THE CABLE (WHICH DODGE HAD IN STOCK). WHEN I TOOK THE OLD ONE OUT I NOTICED THE CABLE FRAYED INSIDE THE SHEATH. I HAD NOTICED PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT (THANKS TO THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE TDR) THE CABLE STARTED TO FRAY NEAR THE BALL CUP AT THE END. I CUT OFF A BROKEN STRAND AT THE BALL CUP. I COULDN'T NOTICE THE BROKEN STRANDS IN THE SHEATH AT THAT TIME. I'M SENDING THE CABLE (VIA FRANK BORRIS) FOR YOUR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. *AK
HAD JUST STARTED VEHICLE UP. LEFT VEHICLE FOR AWHILE. COULD HEAR ENGINE REVVING/RACING VERY FAST & HIGH IN GARAGE. VEHICLE MOVED & PINNED OWNER AGAINST GARAGE WALL. *AK
I HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF REPORTING SERIOUS MAJOR SAFETY COMPONENT PROBLEMS AND FAILURES TO CHRYSLER ON BOTH OF MY VEHICLES. MY VEHICLES HAVE BEEN IN THREE ACCIDENTS RESULTING FROM FAILED SAFETY COMPONENTS. EACH TIME AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND CORRECT IT. HOWEVER, THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. IN THE CASE OF THE BRAKE LINE FAILURE IT INVOLVES EVERY 1195 BR2500 HD PICKUP TRUCK. CHRYSLER FOUND AND CORRECTED THE PROBLEM AT SOME POINT BECAUSE THE REPLACEMENT PART IS DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE BENDS WHICH CAUSE THE LINE TO RUB AGAINST THE WHEEL RIM ON TURNS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN DAMAGES THAT WERE CAUSED BY CHRYSLER. HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?
WHILE DRIVING TO A STOP SIGN VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, AND THE GAS PEDAL WAS STUCK THE THE FLOOR. CONSUMER COULDN'T STOP VEHICLE, CRASHING INTO A TREE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ABS BRAKES LOCKED UP, VEHICLE LOST CONTROL, RESULTING IN A COLLISION. DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK
DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND DID NOT GET A RESPONSE UNTIL THE THIRD TRY.
ABS BRAKES FUNCTION BUT PULL HARD TO THE LEFT. DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE DEFECTIVE BRAKE HOSE VACUUM COLLAPSED, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE AND AN ACCIDENT. *AK

THEREWAS A CLOSED INVESTIGATION , EA99027 AND RECALL # 00V135000 RELATING TO THIS FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 120,000.*AK
LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUITRY BURNED INSIDE DASH AND CAUSED HEAT DAMAGE TO DASH AND WIRING INSIDE. VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR WIRING AND WHEN RECALL WAS COMPLETE, FUEL GUAGE AND TEMPERATURE GUAGE FAILED TO OPERATE NORMALLY. LIGHT SWITCH FAILURE AND IGNITION SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS BELIEVED TO BE RELATED.*AK
