MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING A 2005 DODGE RAM 2500 WHEN THE FRONT LEFT TIRE BLEW. FOR A FEW SECONDS HE WAS ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE TRUCK BUT THEN IT MADE A SUDDEN JERK TO THE LEFT AND PULLED HIM OFF THE ROAD, HE FOUGHT IT FOR A FEW MORE SECONDS UNTIL IT DID THE SUDDEN JERK THING AGAIN TO THE LEFT AND HE SLAMMED INTO 2 OAK TREES WHERE THE SEAT BELT FAILED AND HE WAS EJECTED FROM THE TRUCK. AFTER IMPACT AND ME RUNNING TO THE TRUCK I NOTICED HE HAD BEEN EJECTED, BEGAN LOOKING FOR HIM THEN THE AIR BAG WENT OFF. THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS WRONG WITH THIS WHOLE THING AND I AM JUST NOW GETTING A RECALL NOTICE ON THE LEFT TIE ROD BALL STUD.WHAT ABOUT THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG DELAY? IF THIS IS WHAT CAUSE THE SUDDEN JERKING TO THE LEFT NOW ALL MY QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. JUST WISH IT WOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED SOONER MAYBE I WOULDN'T BE A WIDOW AT THE AGE OF 41! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 2500 DIESEL. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 30 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT FORCEFULLY APPLIED THE BRAKES AND SHIFTED INTO PARK BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESPOND AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE JUMPED OVER AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH, FLIPPED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LOWER BACK, SHOULDERS AND HEAD. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND AN INVESTIGATOR WAS SENT BY THE MANUFACTURER TO INSPECT THE FAILURE. THE INVESTIGATOR WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE FIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TAKARA INFLATORS APRIL 28TH 2019 WE TOOK OUR TRUCK TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE RECALLS FIXED AS THEY REQUESTED. MAINLY THE AIRBAGS AND THEY DID A 28 POINT INSPECTION. JULY 1ST 2019 SOMEONE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND AND THEY WERE INVOLVED IN A BAD ACCIDENT. THE AIRBAGS NEVER WENT OFF. MY HUSBAND HIT THE STEERING WHEEL SO HARD THERE'S A BRUISE AND MARK ON HIS CHEST AND THE SHAPE OF THE STEERING WHEEL. IT ALSO MESSED UP THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE GEAR SELECTOR. THE TRUCK IS TOTALED THE FRAME IS BENT THE SUSPENSIONS RIPPED OFF BUT WE CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF. INSURANCE IS BEING A PAIN. DODGE SAID THEY'D SEND OUT AN INVESTIGATOR SO FAR NO ONE SHOWED UP. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS.
DID NOT RECIEVE INFORMATION ABOUT A AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. I LOST CONTROL DRIVING ON ICE WENT OFF THE ROAD INTO A DITCH AT 55MPH AND HIT A TREE WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. NEITHER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SIDE WAS REPLACED IN 2015. THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS RECALLED AND II WAS NEVER NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 2500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH AN ONCOMING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER, FRONT SEAT PASSENGER, AND REAR SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A "WRECK YARD". THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 270,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 DODGE RAM 2500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH AND WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A CONSTRUCTION SITE. THE DRIVER SUFFERED A NECK INJURY AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SUFFERED A FRACTURED STERNUM AND INJURIES TO THE RIGHT FOOT AND LEFT LUNG. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE WAS REQUIRED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.

WHILE ON THE OFF RAMP TO THE STOP AT THE BOTTOM DODGE RAM GAS PEDAL STUCK DOWN CAUSING THE TRUCK TO ACCELERATE CAUSING THE TRUCK TO LEAVE THE ROAD AT AROUND 85+ MPH THEN DROPPING OFF THE ROAD TO AN 400+ DROP. *TR
ON FEBRUARY 3, 2012 WE WERE PASSING A LOGGING TRUCK IN A LEGAL PASSING LANE WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN OUR TRUCK STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY. WE LOST ALL STEERING CONTROL AND HAD NO BRAKES ALL WHILE SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND HEADED INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE AND OVER THE EMBANKMENT HITTING TREES HEAD ON. WE HAVE 2 WITNESSES TO VERIFY EVERYTHING. THE WITNESSES BOTH SAID OUR TIRES WERE MOVING A FOOT ,OR MORE, IN & OUT DURING THIS VIOLENT SHAKING. OUR TRUCK WAS TOTALED DUE TO THIS ACCIDENT. *TR

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. TWO OCCUPANTS WERE INJURED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 84,000.
2005 DODGE PICKUP WITH PARK PROBLEMS. CUSTOMER STATES HER HUSBAND PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND LEFT IT RUNNING AND IT STARTING ROLLING BACKWARDS. SHE STATES THAT THE TRUCK KNOCKED HER HUSBAND DOWN. *KB THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PARK GEAR. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL IN THE MAIL RELATING TO THE PROBLEM SHE AND HER HUSBAND EXPERIENCED TWICE AND IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE DAMAGES INCURRED TO THEIR VEHICLE AS A RESULT OF THE MALFUNCTION. *JB THE CONSUMER CHECK THE BOX AS BEING INJURED, HOWEVER, THE DESCRIPTIONS SAYS HE WAS NOT INJURED. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THIS WAS A FULL FRONTAL IMPACT AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WERE NO AIR BAGS LIGHTS ILLUMINATED IN THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. THE SEAT BELTS WERE IN USE; HOWEVER INJURIES DID OCCUR. THERE WAS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AT THE SCENE AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN INFORMED.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH THE TIRE HIT A CURB AND THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HIT A TREE. ONE PERSON WAS INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE GEAR SHIFTER INDICATOR JUMPED INTO REVERSE AND RAN OVER THE CONTACT AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES; HOWEVER, THE POLICE WERE NOT CONTACTED SINCE THIS HAPPENED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. THE DAMAGE TO THE FENCE WAS ADDITIONAL PROPERTY DAMAGE. TWO DAYS LATER, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION ON NHTSA # 05V462000, CONCERNING THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED ABOUT THE ACCIDENT AND SENT A REPRESENTATIVE TO INVESTIGATE. THE INVESTIGATOR DETERMINED THE TRANSMISSION HAD GONE IN REVERSE AND WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE INVESTIGATOR RECHECKED THE VEHICLE AFTER THIS RECALL WORK WAS PERFORMED AND DEEMED THE VEHICLE "UNSAFE". THE INVESTIGATOR STATED THE ALARM PATCH THAT WAS PLACED ON THE TRANSMISSION TO ALERT THE CONTACT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS AGAIN GOING INTO REVERSE, WAS A SHORT TERM REPAIR AND THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. THE CONTACT IS UNPLEASED WITH THE REPAIR THAT WAS MADE AND VERY AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR FEAR OF SAFETY.
I WAS IN A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT ON NOVEMBER 14, 2005 IN A 2005 DODGE RAM PICKUP TRUCK . I HIT A DEER AND THEN HIT A TREE GOING 45-50 MPH. MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE FUEL SWITCH DID NOT TURN OFF. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AS IT SHOULD HAVE. *NM
2005 DODGE 3500 HIT A POLE HEAD ON YET THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.*MR THE CONSUMER'S HEAD STRUCK THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING HEAD, NECK AND VISION PROBLEMS. THIS DEFECT WAS REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER. *NM
STEERING WENT OUT AND TRUCK ROLLED. VERIFIED PER MECHANIC FAILURE ON RECALLED PART/S
THE TRUCK WITH ATTACHED TRAILER WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINED DRIVEWAY. THE TRUCK WAS PLACED IN PARK AND THE KEY WAS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. I PROCEEDED TO LOAD A COMPACT TRACTOR APPROXIMATELY 2500 LBS. THE TRUCK STARTED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL AND CRASHED THRU A FENCE DOING EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK. I DID NOT TRY TO START THE TRUCK AND WAITED FOR MECHANIC TO ASSESS ANY MECHANICAL DAMAGE. THE MECHANIC CAME TO MY PLACE AND WHEN HE GOT IN THE TRUCK THE TRANSMISSION INDICATED THAT IT WAS STILL IN PARK. DODGE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THIS TYPE VEHICLE WITH THE TRANSMISSION NOT HOLDING. THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT THERE HAD BEEN SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH GAS POWERED ENGINES BUT NOT THE DIESEL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS CAN BE EVALUATED FOR RECALL. NO ONE GOT HURT IN THIS INSTANCE BUT CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK MECHANICALLY AND COSMETICALLY.
DODGE DEATH WOBBLE HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES THE LAST TIME IT BROKE THE TIE ROD END AND THREW ME OFF THE ROAD
MAY 2018, PUT TRUCK IN PARK AND LEFT IT RUNNING TO GO IN TO GET SOMETHING. WE WERE IN AN RV PARK AT THE TIME. A MINUTE OR SO LATER, IT WENT IN REVERSE AND BACKED INTO A TRAILER CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH. GEARSHIFT SHOWEDIT WAS STILL IN 'P'. ALARM HAS SINCE BEEN PUT IN UNDER RECALL E17 AFTER WE REQUESTED IT. (HAD ASKED WHEN AIR BAGS WERE CHANGED OUT IN DECEMBER 2017, IF ANY OTHER RECALLS, AND WERE TOLD NO). A DODGE REP CAME ON JUNE 12, 2018 AND LOOKED AT THE TRUCK. AS OF 12/10/2018, WE HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF RESULTS.
