TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHE REAR ENDED THE TRUCK IN FRONT HER, THE ENGINE BEGAN SMOKING. THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AND WAS DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
On June 22 myself and my wife were pulling out of the Food Lion Parking Lot. As we proceeded out to the main Road the gas pedal stuck. The car kept accelerating and know matter what I did I could free the gas pedal. Because of that we hit 3 cars in the intersection. Our car literally exploded putting Myself and my wife in the hospital .My wife has had 3 surgeries for a broken pelvis.She is still in serious condition.Myself I suffered 3 broken ribs and a lacerated liver. Ford should be held accountable for our terrible pain and suffering.?
I WAS SEVERELY INJURED WHEN A VEHICLE TURNED IN FRONT OF ME WHILE GOING 40 MPH I SLAMMED ONTO THE BRAKE SO HARD I BROKE MY TOE AS I T BONED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ALL OF HER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED MINE DID NOT MY FACE SLAMMED THE STEERING WHEEL SO HARD MY HEAD SLAMMED INTO THE HEAD REST BEHIND ME. MY INJURIES SO FAR ARE A CONCUSSION, FRACTURES BENT NOSE, A JAW STRAIN AND POSSIBLE FRACTURED MY TWO FRONT TEETH, NECK INJURY AND WHIPLASH, AND A MUSCULAR ISSUE WITH MY RIGHT SHOULDER. ON AUGUST 7, 2018, I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT TRAVELING ABOUT 30-35MPH WHEN ANOTHER DRIVER RAN A STOP LIGHT CAUSING ME TO HIT THE SIDE OF THEIR CAR WITH THE FRONT OF MY CAR. MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND I SUSTAINED AN ACUTE HEAD INJURY, NECK AND BACK SORENESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY?
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 35-40 MPH, AND ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A RIGHT-HAND TURN ON A COUNTY ROAD. THE STEERING WHEEL EITHER LOCKED, OR THE POWER STEERING FAILED, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO NEGOTIATE THE TURN. SHE RAN OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HIT A LIGHT POLE STRAIGHT ON, CAUSING HER MINOR INJURIES, BUT TOTALING THE CAR.

I WAS IN A HEAD ON COLLISION. THE SEAT AIR BAG WENT OFF AS WELL AS THE SIDE CURTAIN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IS WHEN THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED ON THE STEERING WHEEL IT BROKE IN THE MIDDLE. NOW I HAVE A V SHAPE CUT (HAD TO GET 16 STITCHES). I DON'T BELIEVE IT SHOULD HAVE BROKEN THE WAY IT DID. NOW I HAVE A SCAR ON MY FOREHEAD. I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE ACCIDENT. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE IGNITION WIRES HAD TO BE CUT TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 43,648.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 55 MPH WHEN HE CRASHED INTO A DEER. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE ROOF TO DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND INQUIRED OF HOW THE ROOF WAS SECURED TO THE VEHICLE BUT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT PROVIDE THE REQUESTED INFORMATION. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE ROOF SHOULD HAVE BEEN WELDED MUCH MORE SECURELY THAN WHAT IT WAS. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. I WAS GOING TO E. GRAND RIVER @ POSTED SPEED OTHER CAR MADE LEFT TURN FAILING TO YIELD AND STRUCK INTO MY CAR, WENT OVER CURB AND STRUCK BRICK FOUNDATION. MY RIGHT HAND BONE BROKE, HAD SURGERY TO FIX. MY 2010 FOCUS IS TOTALED.

AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY ON 2010 FORD FOCUS DURING ROLLOVER ACCIDENT. *TR
MOM AND I WAS DRIVING A RENTAL. 2010 FORD FOCUS. EARLIER THAT DAY SHE WAS DRIVING THE CAR AN COMPLAINED IT WAS WOBBLING WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL STILL. FOR ME, AT FIRST WHEN I WAS DRIVING I THOUGHT IT WAS THE WIND MAKING THE CAR WOBBLE, BUT AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND NOTICE MY BACK RIGHT TIRE ROTATION WAS VERY UNUSUAL (IT JUST DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT) SO I SLOW DOWN TO FEEL THE SAME REACTION. WHEN I DID MY CAR FISHTAILED INTO THE MEDIAN WALL OF THE HIGHWAY (SMASHING IN THE RIGHT SIDE OR DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAR) (WHEN HITTING THE WALL , THE BREAKS AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP) AND BOUNCED ME ACROSS TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY HITTING THE METAL RAIL THAT HELP ME STOP ROLLING, ENDED UP WITH MINOR INJURIES, SERIOUS HEADACHES, AND A SO CALLED TICKET OF $130 FAILURE TO CONTROL MY VEHICLE I DON'T KNOW IF FORD FOCUS FUNCTION THAT WAY, BUT I WILL NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO EVER GET A FORD! *TR
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RMP increased and revved causing the vehicle to crash into an unoccupied vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. No injuries were sustained. The contact stated there was a minor scratch on the front of her vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened, and advised the contact to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
The contacts mother owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact stated while her mother attempted to park, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle violently accelerated on its own without warning. As a result, the contact crashed into a satellite pole. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries reported. A police report was not filed. The driver was able to reverse the vehicle and park into the parking spot, however the contact stated the failure reoccurred sporadically several times after the crash. The driver took the vehicle to a local dealer to have the vehicle inspected, however the dealer was not able to duplicate the failure. A few months later and the failure reoccurred again and the driver took the vehicle back to the dealer where the dealer repaired and replaced the throttle body control module on the vehicle, but the failure persisted after the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I HAVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW NOW HAS 88K MILES I HAVE PUT LITERALLY 4 SET OF TIRES ON THIS AND HAVE HAD A REAR ALIGNMENT KIT DONE TO IT .THIS CAR SWAYS REALLY BAD AT SPEEDS OF OVER 65 MPH AND WHEN THERE IS HARDLY ANY WIND AT ALL . VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW OR RAIN . THE CAR CAUSED ME TO HAVE A ACCIDENT THAT COST MY INSURANCE COMPANY OVER 2000 TO REPAIR DUE TO THE SWAYING OF SPEEDS OVER 65 MPH . I HAVE A HORRIBLE THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END SUSPENSION AREA WHICH I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE I HAD BAD TIRES SO REPLACED TO BAD THUMPING SO REPLACED WHEELS STILL BAD AND WHEEL BEARINGS AND STILL BAD THUMPING IDK WHAT TO DO THIS IS SO ANNOYING I WANT FORD TO PAY FOR ALL OF THIS AND TO RECALL THESE CARS THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS
THIS VEHICLE IS PART OF THE NATIONAL FLEET OWNED BY THE US POSTAL SERVICE. THE DRIVER WAS TRYING TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT AN INTERSECTION. THE ENGINE BEGAN REVVING AS THE DRIVER WAS APPLYING THE BRAKES. THE ADDITIONAL ACCELERATION MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP CAUSING THE FOCUS TO COLLIDE INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE STOPPED AHEAD. THE FOCUS ENGAGED THE STOPPED VEHICLE ONCE, PUSHED IT AHEAD, THEN ENGAGED IT A SECOND TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE NOTHING WAS FOUND TO BE WRONG. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSISTENT WITH PAST COMPLAINTS FILED WITH NHTSA FOR SAME MODEL YEAR FORD FOCUS VEHICLES. *TR

WE REPAIRED THIS CAR IN MARCH AND FORD MOTOR CO HAS A AIR BAG SENSOR STILL ON BACK ORDER.THE CUSTOMER IS DRIVING THIS CAR WITH THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON AND WE ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER.
