WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BROADSIDE AT A LOW SPEED ,CAUSING VEHICLE TO FLIP OVER SEVERAL TIMES. *AK
RECALL 99V193000 WAS FIXED BY DEALER TO CORRECT ABS BRAKES. HOWEVER, ON NOVEMBER 1, 2000 AFTER RECALL WAS FIXED, ABS BRAKES FAILED AGAIN, CAUSING CONSUMER INTO AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT. DRIVER RECEIVED SERIOUS INJURIES. VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. PLEASE ADD ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *AK
ANTI-SKID BRAKES FAILED LAST YEAR IN SNOW. HAPPENS IN 2-WD IN WET/SLICK CONDITIONS. *AK
TRAFFIC WAS STOPPED AHEAD. APPLIED THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN. THE BLAZER DID NOT RESPOND. I HIT THE BRAKES AS HARD AS POSSIBLE WHEN THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES DEPLOYED. THE BLAZER STILL DID NOT SLOW DOWN. THE BLAZER IMPACTED TWO (2) OTHER VEHICALS. THE OTHER VEHICALS LEFT UNDER THERE OWN POWER. THE BLAZER HAD TO BE TOWED. THE DAY WAS SUNNY AND 92 DEGREES. BLAZER INVOVLED IN ACCIDENT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE & SEAT BELTS DID NOT RESTRAIN DRIVER. PASSENGER SIDE HELD. STORAGE PANEL HAD COLLAPSED & LACERATED DRIVER'S SCALP. BOTH DRIVER/PASSENGER WERE INJURED. VEHICLE TOTALED. TOWED TO JUNK YARD. *AK
ABS BRAKE PROBLEMS; APPLIED THE BRAKES ON WET ROAD AND IT RESULTED IN A CRASH/ INJURY. THE BRAKES ALSO LOCK UP WHENEVER THE VEHCLE GOES THROUGH A CAR WASH. WHEN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, A PROBLEM COULD NOT BE FOUND WITH THE BRAKES. *AK

ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS WHEN BRAKING COULD FEEL THE ABS SYSTEM WORKING. THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND VEHICLE HAD NO BRAKING ABILITY. VEHICLE REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. VEHICLE IS BEING REPAIRED AT DEALERSHIP. *AK
OWNER HAS ABS BRAKES, HE STATES THAT HE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THAT PRIOR TO ACCIDENT BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. HE ALSO NOTES THAT DEALERS CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH HIS BRAKES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, RESULTING IN INJURIES. *AK

DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRYING TO MAKE A U TURN THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED BY ITSELF. SHE WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC WHEN CRUISE CONTROL FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO AN APARTMENT BUILDING. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID THE THROTTLE WAS FULLY ENGAGED. DT: WHILE THE CONTACT'S MOTHER WAS DRIVING AT 30 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. IT FELT AS THOUGH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE RAN INTO A HOUSE AND WENT THROUGH IT. WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. A POLICE REPORT TAKEN AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD, AND FOUND THE THROTTLE WAS STUCK ALL THE WAY FORWARD. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TO ANY MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS. *AK
THE FOLLOWING NOTE WAS SENT TO CHEVY PRODUCT SUPPORT THROUGH THEIR WEB SITE. THE VEHICLE IS A 1993 BLAZER, VIN [XXX] - I RECENTLY HAD THE ELECTRONIC EMISSION CONTROL VALVE (EGR(?) FAIL IN THE OPEN POSITION, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. I WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE. FORTUNATELY, I WASN'T IN TRAFFIC AND COULD SAFELY HAVE THE TRUCK TOWED TO MY MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE VALVE. IS THE REPLACEMENT OF THIS PART COVERED BY A WARRANTY OR OUT OF WARRANTY SPECIAL SERVICE ARRANGEMENT? HAVE THE SAFETY ISSUES BEEN ADDRESSED BY A REDESIGN OF THE VALVE OR EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THIS VEHICLE? THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. CAR LOSES ALL POWER; STEERING, BRAKING THEN STALLS. PROBLEM W/ EGR VALVE SINCE 1997, REPLACED LINEAR EGR, 4 MTHS AGO, CONTINUES TO STALL WHEN SLOWING, LETTING UP ON GAS. DEALER CLEANED MANIFOLD, HAPPENED AGAIN 2 WEEKS LATER, BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER, SAID CAN'T PINPOINT PROBLEM GUESS SOMETHING WITH EGR VALVE.*AK
ONGOING PROBLEM, REPLACED LINEAR EGR VALVE, CAR CONTINUES TO LOSE ALL POWER WHEN SLOWING DOWN OR LETTING UP ON GAS STEERING, BRAKING THEN STALLS. *AK
CONSUMER WAS AT A INTERSECTION STOP SIGN AND ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS IN FRONT. UPON TAKING OFF, CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES, BUT THEY DID NOT WORK PROPERLY, AND CONSUMER HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE. *AK
TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE. SUDDENLY BRAKES WERE INOPERATIVE AND ENGINE STARTED RUNNING VERY ROUGHLY. ENGINE STALLED AND WOULD NOT RE-START. THIS DEFECT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE BACK OF MY GARAGE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FRONT BUMPER AND HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO: MIDWAY AUTO TEAM, 2201 W.
