ON FEBRUARY 24, 2013, I WAS INVOLVED IN A "FENDER BENDER" IN MY BRAND NEW 2013 FORD MUSTANG WHERE I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. ALTHOUGH THE COLLISION WAS MINOR, AND THE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END WAS MINIMAL, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT AND SIDE PANEL AIRBAGS BOTH DEPLOYED. THE FRONT AIR BAG SEVERELY BURNED ME WHEN IT EXPLODED OUT UPON IMPACT. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE BURNS THAT I HAVE SUFFERED AS THE RESULT OF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, AS WELL AS THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR. BASED UPON THE SEVERITY OF THE BURNS THAT I HAVE SUFFERED IT IS APPARENT THAT THE AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE. AFTER THE COLLISION, I WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM, AND WHILE BEING TREATED THE DOCTOR INDICATED THAT MY BURNS WERE CHEMICALLY INDUCED, AND WERE NOT ABRASION TYPE BURNS FROM CONTACT WITH THE AIRBAG. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT OTHERS MAY SUFFER THE SAME TYPE OF INJURIES. *TR
The contact owned a 2013 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another driver failed to yield while entering the roadway, abruptly cutting in front of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear driver's side passenger door of the other vehicle. The driver's side air bag did deploy but failed to inflate, which the contact related to the injuries he sustained as a result of the accident. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact did not immediately seek medical attention but later transported himself to an area hospital and was treated for a concussion, neck pain, and back pain. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,000.

THE POLICE ARRIVED, BUT THE CONTACT DID NOT RECALL IF A REPORT WAS FILED. THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE CRASH DAMAGE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
TAKATA RECALL> I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON JULY 4, 2016. A PERSON TOOK A STOP SIGN AS I WAS GOING 40MPH ON A STRAIGHTAWAY STREET. AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND FRONT DRIVER SIDE WAS SMASHED IN. OUR VEHICLE WENT IN FOR REPAIR AND IT IS NOW READY TO GO, BUT IT'S MISSING THE AIRBAGS. OBVIOUSLY THE AUTO COLLISION CENTER CANNOT RELEASE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THE AIRBAGS. NOW THEY'VE INFORMED US THAT THERE IS A RECALL AND THERE IS NO ETA ON THE PRODUCTION. WE HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND MAY OTHER SUBSIDIARIES AND NO ONE IS ABLE TO GIVE US A DATE, NOT EVEN AN ESTIMATE OF WHEN OUR VEHICLE WILL BE READY. THIS IS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE. WE HAVE TO GET AROUND IN ONE CAR AND IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR US. NEITHER OUR INSURANCE COMPANY, THE PERSON AT FAULTS INSURANCE COMPANY, THE BODY SHOP OR FORD CAN GET US IN A RENTAL. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I AM REACHING OUT TO YOU TODAY FOR HELP. WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN OUR VEHICLE WILL BE READY. WE HAD JUST PURCHASED THE CAR 6 MONTHS AGO AND NOW WE ARE PAYING THE MONTHLY CAR NOTE PLUS INSURANCE FOR THE CAR TO JUST BE PARKED FOR WE DON'T KNOW HOW LONG. PLEASE HELP...
TURNED VEHICLE TO THE LEFT OUT OF A DRIVEWAY, PRESSED ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO SHIFT FROM 1ST TO 2ND, BACK END FISHTAILED, SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL TO TRY TO DECREASE THE SPIN OF THE TIRES, PUMPED THE BRAKES, OVER CORRECTED AND HIT A PARKED VEHICLE AT BETWEEN 15 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR. ONLY ONE PERSON IN MY VEHICLE AND THE OTHER CAR WAS PARKED NO ONE IN VEHICLE. DRIVERS AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY FROM THE IMPACT. *TR

AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO NECK, LEFT WRIST AND BACK WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.

Was going 25mph on a straight dry road, 2 traction control lights popped up and an alert saying Advancetrac is off, which is a feature you have to be in park with your foot on the brake and hold the traction control button for 8 seconds to turn off, when the light turned on the car downshift and turned sideways causing me to go into a barrier, steering wheel airbag and passenger airbag both only broke out of the trim and did not inflate fully.
My 2013 Ford Mustang had some problems with down shifting, and my daughter took it several times to the dealer, they said it is probably the throttle body, so I replaced it, and thought that everything was fine. So on September last year my daughter was in an accident due to the car downshifting to first gear, the tires locked up and she swirled to some freeway wire retainers. Thankfully she was OK, So thinking that the throttle body went bad again I replaced it, and last week, I almost got rear ended because the same thing happened to me. The car shifted abruptly to first gear, locking the tires and rear swaying side to side.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK LATER, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND COULD NOT BE TURNED AT ALL. DOWLING FORD (1011 S. MAIN ST, CHESHIRE, CT) WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 25026398. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD ONLY OPERATE IN THE HIGH SETTING. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000. *DT *TR

THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG EXPLODED, CAUSING SMALL METAL FRAGMENTS (SHRAPNEL) AND SMOKE TO ENTER THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN AWAY FROM THE SCENE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE CRASH. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS). LAST SEPTEMBER 15TH 2016THURSDAY NIGHT I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON ROAD PR2 IN QUEBRADILLAS PUERTO RICO. AROUND 50MPH. SUDDENLY THE CAR COLLAPSE IN THE LEFT FRONT END. I TRY TO PULL THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE, I TRY TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND NO BRAKE RESPONSE. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, FINALLY THE VEHICLE STOP WHEN TOUCH THE CENTER CONCRETE WALL IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE HAS SERIOUS DAMAGE ON THE LEFT FRONT CORNER. AT LEAST I WALKED OUT WITH NO INJURIES. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND I WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALER. THE CAR IS IN CABRERA HNOS IN ARECIBO, PR. THE CAR ONLY HAS 13008 MILES BUT THE 3/36 EXPIRED IN MAY 2016. THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CONFIRM THE LEFT BALL-JOINT IS BROKEN AND CAUSE ALL THE DAMAGE. THE MANAGER ALSO SAY AN FORD SPECIALIST SHOULD EVALUATE THE VEHICLE BEFORE DO ANY REPAIRS. I WANT TO REPORT THIS DUE IS NOT NORMAL A PART LIKE THIS BREAKS IN ANY VEHICLE. THE MANAGER IN THE DEALER [XXX] KNOWS ABOUT THE CAR AND TOLD ME TO CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REPORT THIS EVENT. I WAS TOLD THE PART IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND ALSO TO REPORT THE INCIDENT TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HOPE HEAR FROM FORD. I GOT IN TO A CAR ACCIDENT WHICH CAUSED THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND SHOT OUT SHARP OBJECTS WHICH CAUSED ADDITIONAL/UN-NECESSARY INJURY.
I PARKED MY V-6 AUTO TRANSMISSION MUSTANG ON A SLIGHT INCLINE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. APPROX 60 SECONDS AFTER EXITING, THE MUSTANG STARTED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL. I WAS ABLE TO CATCH UP TO IT, DIVE IN HEAD FIRST AND PUSH TRANSMISSION GEAR SELECTOR FORWARD TO MAKE SURE IT WAS IN PARK(IT WAS). IT CONTINUED TO ROLL DOWN HILL UNTIL IT IMPACTED A BUILDING. AFTER IMPACT I CONFIRMED SHIFT LEVER LOCKED IN PARK. THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT LOCK DRIVETRAIN AND THERE WERE NO SKID OR SLIDE MARKS FROM REAR WHEEL LOCKUP. DAYS LATER, I RETURNED TO SCENE AND RECREATED INCIDENT, PARKING IN SAME LOCATION. SAME ANGLE, ETC. PLACING THE CAR IN PARK HELD IT'S POSITION. PLACING THE CAR IN ANY OTHER GEARSHIFT POSITION AND RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL CAUSED AN IMMEDIATE ROLL BACK. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I EXITED THIS VEHICLE UNLESS THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, IT WOULD OF ROLLED IMMEDIATELY AND THE DOOR WOULD OF KNOCKED ME OVER. MY SUMMARY IS: PARK SELECTION OF GEARSHIFT LEVER FAILED TO LOCK DRIVETRAIN, ALLOWING CAR TO ROLL DOWN HILL AND IMPACT A BUILDING. *TR

MY MOTHER BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW, THE NEIGHBORS HACKED INTO THE SYNC SYSTEM ONCE AND HAD ISSUES OUT OF RADIO SINCE, BUT SHE'S NOT CONCERNED OVER THAT, THE 6SPEED TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT ON ITS ON, BE RUNNING 55 AND DOWNSHIFT TO FIRST, AND GO TO PULL OUT IN 6TH AND HAD ALMOST GOT HER HIT MORE THAN ONCE , I HOOKED COMPUTER TO IT RESET EVERYTHING TO FACTORY EXCEPT THE MY KEY AND BLUETOOTH WHICH NEIGHBORS HACKED, BUT I TOOK DOWN THE RD AND DRIVING NORMAL TO SET SHIFTING POINTS, I WAS IN A 60 MPH ZONE GOING 55 AND LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME IT DECIDED THAT 1RST GEAR WAS NESSASARY GEAR AT 55 AND I FISH TAILED UNTIL I SHIFTED INTO N, BUT SHE IS OLDER AND JUST PAID IT OFF, AND NOW SINCE POLICE WOULDN'T HELP US AGAINST THEIR OWN FAMILY I. WASH CO TN WE HAD MOVE AND HER CAR IS ONLY WAY SHE HAD TO WORK, MY CARS ARE ALSO ELECTRONICALLY DISABLED AT THIS TIME , ONLY CAR I HAVE IS MANUEL TRANS AND SHE CAN'T SHIFT GEARS, SHE HELPS EVERYONE AND IS A NURSE YET WE CAN'T GET AN ONE HELP HER AND WHERE SHE MOVED HAD BROKE HER , PLEASE TELL ME A WAY I CAN GET HER A RELIABLE FIX, FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN FORD SHOULD WENT A RECALL. SHE HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE HER CHANCES SINCE MY CAR GAS TANK WAS SUGARED , IT'S GETTING WORSE AND ONLY DOES IN CERTAIN AREAS NEAR SUB STATIONS FOR SOME REASON.AND I AM DISABLED BUT NOT DRAWING ANYTHING JUST WORK ON CARS, SINCE GATEWAY AUTO BODY SHUT DOWN, TRYING MY BEST JUST GET BY. ANY HELP OR REFERENCES WOULD BE APPRECIATED . TY
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 15V319000 (Air Bags) and 19V001000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer declined to perform the recall repairs. The contact was informed that, because of the installation of an aftermarket steering wheel, the recall repairs could not be performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
n 2019, I bought a used car from a well-known dealer in Puerto Rico. I recently took it to a mechanic for some repairs, and the mechanic informed me that the vehicle's internal odometer didn't match the odometer on the car's dashboard. There was a difference of 48,971 miles. I was deceived by this dealer.
