SUDDEN ACCELERATION, CAUSING ACCIDENT/FATALITY. *SD
GOODYEAR INVICTA TIRES HAD INSUFFICIENT TREAD TO CHANNEL WATER, RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL WHICH CAUSED ACCIDENT/DEATHS. (ATTORNEY FOR CLIENT) *DSH
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE TO SIX SECONDS, THE CONTACT WAS REAR ENDED. THE TWO FRONT SEATS WENT INTO A FULL RECLINING POSITION. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE SEATS ARE STILL LOCKED IN THE RECLINED POSITION. THE VIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 187,100 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 187,050.
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THROTTLE STUCK. THIS PROBLEM FORCED THE CONSUMER OFF THE ROAD AND VEHICLE ROLLED OVER. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE CAUSE WAS NOT DETERMINED. *AK
WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE VEHICLE DROVE OUT OF CONTROL. CONSUMER PRESSED BRAKE PEDAL AND VEHICLE STILL TRAVELED, CAUSING CONSUMER TO RUN INTO A TREE. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK BRAKES WERE WORKING PERFECTLY BUT THE ENGINE WAS AT FULL THROTTLE, OVER POWERING RESULTING IN ACCIDENT. *YH
WHILE BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY, ,DRIVER PUT GEAR INTO REVERSE WITH FOOT ON BRAKE, AND VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED, RUNNING THROUGH A HOUSE . DRIVER HAD FOOT ON BRAKE THROUGHOUT THE INCIDENT, AND EVEN TRIED TO PUMP BRAKES, BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND.PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, RESULTING IN A COLLISION THAT CAUSED MINOR INJURIES. *AK
BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE CAUSING ACCIDENT; MASTER CYLINDER WAS CHECKED BY INSPECTOR AND FOUND TO HAVE LEAK THAT ALLOWED ALL FLUID TO ESCAPE WITHOUT ANY WARNING
WAS ENTERING HIGHWAY AND WAS CUT OFF, SO I APPLIED BRAKES AND VEHICLE FLIPPED 3 TIMES . I BROKE MY NECK (C1,C2,C3) AND NOW MILITARY IS MEDICALLY RETIRING ME. ALSO HAVE SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS ALONG WITH SOME OTHER HANDICAPS AS SEVERE PAIN ON A DAILY BASIS. *AK
WE WERE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WHEN WE WERE REAR-ENDED BY A TRUCK THAT WAS GOING 55-60 MPH. WE WERE THROWN FORWARD THEN BACKWARDS, THE TWO FRONT SEATS BROKE AND THREW US INTO THE BACKSEAT. WE SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES.
CONSUMER HAS EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WHICH WAS BONDO. VEHICLE WAS MADE WITHOUT A SIDE BEAM. THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE COLLISION IN WHICH A BICYCLE BENT THE VEHICLE'S DOOR BADLY. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK *ML
CONSUMER STATES THAT IN REVERSE THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, CAUSING A COLLISION, AND THE ARIBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK CONSUMER PUT HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO PUT VEHICLE IN REVERSE, HOWEVER VEHICLE ACCLERATED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND INTO AND UP THE STEPS, CONSUMER SUFFERED A BROKEN BACK AND LACERATIONS TO HER HEAD AND WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 9 DAYS, THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *SLC
BRAKE PEDAL IS LOCATED TOO FAR FROM GAS PEDAL. DURING AN EMERGENCY/ACCIDENT THE GAS PEDAL WAS PUSHED INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE PEDAL, CAUSING VEHICAL TO LOSE CONTROL, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT/INJURIES. *AK
CONSUMER ABOUT TO PULL INTO GARAGE ,SHIFTED TO REVERSE TO GET VEHICLE ALIGNED BETTER, SHIFTED GEAR INTO DRIVE, TAPPED GAS PEDAL; VEHICLE ACCELATERATED SUDDENLY AT EXTREME FORCE/ SPEED, CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STOP AT APPROX 20 FEET, CAUSED INJURIES, LEFT TIRES MARKS, VEHICLE WENT INTO GARAGE SIDEWAYS. *AK
SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE, FOOT ON BRAKES, ENGINE ACCELERATED, LURCHED FORWARD, CRASHED INTO FENCE, WENT DOWN AN EMBANKMENT, STOPPED BY CRASHING INTO TREES, NO WARNING, SKID MARKS INDICATED BRAKES WERE APPLIED, NOT ACCELERATOR PEDAL. *AK
AFTER PUTTING THE VEHICLE INTO THE DRIVE POSITION, WITH FOOT STILL ON BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. *AK
