ATTORNEY WRITING ON THE BEHALF OF 4 ACCIDENTS IN WHICH HE STATES WERE CAUSED BY TREAD SEPARATION ON GOODYEAR 16 INCH LOAD RANGE E STEEL BELTED RADIAL TIRES, THIS PARTICULAR POLICE REPORT STATES THAT THE LEFT REAR TIRE EXPERIENCED TREAD SEPARATION, CAUSING DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A ROLLOVER IN WHICH THERE WERE 2 INJURIES AND ONE DEATH, CONSUMER HAD STATED THAT THE RIGHT REAR TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT PRIOR TO THIS ONE, OWNER OF VEHICLE IS SUSAN ANN GILBERT, 5317 N 46TH STREET, PHOENIX AZ 85018, 602-840-2986. *SLC
THERE WERE NON EVENTS LEADING UP TO THE UNEXPECTED FAILURE OF MY STANADYNE PUMP MOUNTED DRIVER (FUEL SOLENOID DRIVER). THE FAILURE CAUSED MY 1995 6.5L DIESEL CHEVROLET SUBURBAN TO STALL IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC! THIS CAUSED ME TO LOOSE POWER BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. BEING A 3/4 TON PICKUP, THIS WAS NOT A PRETTY PICTURE. THE STALL CAUSED ME TO RUN OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A DITCH. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM I INSTALLED A NEW ~$400 STANADYNE PMD. THESE PMDS ARE KNOWN TO GO OUT EVERY 30,000 MILES. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, AND STANADYNE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MANUFACTURE FLAW. *NM
WHILE TRAVELING OVER 50 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH AT WHICH TIME THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *NLM
DRIVER SUFFERED A BROKEN STERNUM AND HYPER EXTENTION OF THE RIGHT SHOULDER REQUIERING EXTENDED TREATMENT. NO SAFETY DEFECT LISTED. *AK
WE TOOK A NOSE DIVE INTO A DEEP DITCH AT ABOUT 40 MPH. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUFFERED SEVERE FACIAL DAMAGE WHERE PLASTIC SURGURY WAS NECESSARY. THE FRONT END OF THE CAR SUSTAINED SEVERE DAMAGE.*AK

WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES IN NORMAL CONDITIONS THE SYSTEM DOES NOT RESPOND, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND RESULTING IN THREE COLLISIONS. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
ON MARCH 05, 1999 AT 7:14 P.M. I WAS THE VICTIM OF A REAR END COLLISION. THE DRIVERS SEAT OF MY SUBURBAN, PLATE# 3SLU868, COLLAPSED. AS A RESULT I SUFFERED INJURIES TO MY NECK AND RIGHT SHOULDER. AS OF TODAY I HAVE NOT RECOVERED AND CONTINUE TO BE UNDER THE CARE OF STANFORD/UCSF MEDICAL CENTER. THE SEAT FAILED IN A MANNER IDENTICAL TO WHAT I HAVE FOUND ON YOUR TEST PAGES. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THIS SEAT IS DEFECTIVE AND HAS DIRECTLY AND SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTED TO MY INJURIES. I IMPLORE YOU TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AS EVERY ACCIDENT AFFECTS THE LIVES OF AMERICAN CITIZENS AND OUR GNP. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO WORK SINCE MY ACCIDENT AND AM CONSTANTLY IN GREAT PAIN. THE BRAKES FAIL TO OPERATE PROPERLY WHEN APPLIED AS DIRECTED IN THE MANUAL IF THE ROAD SURFACE IS SLIPPERY FOR ANY REASON. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN AT LEAST THREE CRASHES BECAUSE THE BRAKES RELEASE INSTEAD OF PUMPING. THE DEALER SEVICE DEPT INSISTS THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT PROPERLY ENGAGED. THAT IS HOGWASH!
OWNER WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THEY DIDN'T RESPOND AT ALL. DUE TO THE BRAKES NOT RESPONDING ,THE OWNER HIT ANOTHER CAR AND THEN THE TRUCK SLOWED DOWN AND CAME TO A HOLD. *AK

GOING UPHILL, BLANKED OUT AND CRASHED INTO A TREE, THE AIR BAG DID DEPLOY BUT DRIVER WAS INJURED. DOES NOT KNOW IF SHE HAS AN AIR BAG PROBLEM . VEHICLE IS IN FOR ESTIMATE AND REPAIR. *AK
