DUE TO TO UNEVEN DRIVEWAY THE VEHICLE STALLED, OR TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SPIN AND NOT MOVE, AT WHICH THE VEHICLE IGNITION WAS SHUT-OFF. IT WAS ATTEMPTED TO PUSH THE VEHICLE ABOUT 50 FEET TO A PARKING PLACE. ANOTHER PERSON OFFERS TO HELP, THEN PUSHES VEHICLE 25/50 FEET...ADVISES TO TURN THE WHEEL. THE WHEEL DOES NOT WANT TO TURN. THE VEHICLE HAS USED A LOT OF POWER STEERING FLUID ALMOST DAILY(HAS A HISTORY OF SQUEALING AND HARD TURNING AT START UNLESS LUBRICATED). SO ADVICE TO PLACE VEHICLE IN REVERSE CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BE EVEN HARDER TO TURN, IF AT ALL. I REQUESTED HELP FROM THE BYSTANDER, WHO AT WHICH POINT COMES TO THE DRIVER SIDE WHERE I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE ALSO. IT'S UNKNOWN IF THE BYSTANDER HELP TURNED THE IGNITION ON, OR IF THE IGNITION SOMEHOW TURNED ON BY ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS OCCUPIED BY ONE ADDITION PASSENGER AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE TRAVELED IN REVERSE GEAR, WITHOUT ANYONE PUSHING ON THE ACCELERATOR. THERE WERE MINOR TO SEVERE INJURIES, AND DAMAGE TO 2 VEHICLES AND ONE STRUCTURE.
TAKATA RECALL - I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON 8/11/2015 AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON ROADWAY AND WAS IN MOTION MAKING A LEFT TURN WHEN STRUCK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE.
"TAKATA AIRBAG" I WAS IN A ACCIDENT WHERE A PERSON RAN A RED LIGHT, GOING ABOUT 45 MPH AND I T-BONE THAT PERSON'S VEHICLE, WITH ME GOING ABOUT 40 MPH. THE AIRBAG DELAYED ON DEPLOYMENT IN MY VEHICLE. I HAD MY SEAT-BELT ON BUT I STILL ENDED UP HITTING MY CHEST ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND HITTING MY HEAD ON THE WINDSHIELD BEFORE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF MY AIRBAG CAN GET DEFECTIVE OVER YEARS BECAUSE OF THE DELAY OF DEPLOYMENT. I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS A TAKATA AIRBAG THAT ISN'T ON THE RECALL LIST YET OR NOT. I STILL HAVE THE VEHICLE AND THE AIRBAG PART ITSELF THAT I CAN GIVE YOU THE NUMBERS OFF OF. SOMEONE REMINDED ME ABOUT THE TAKATA AIRBAGS SO I FIGURED I ASK.
DODGE DURANGO 1998 BALL JOINT FAILURE AND FULL SEPARATION WITH NO WARNING, WHICH CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE IN AN ON-ROAD ACCIDENT TO SEVERAL VEHICLES. DODGE CORPORATION WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE HUNDREDS OF BALL JOINT FAILURES AND LOST LIVES DUE TO THIS POOR DESIGN AND DEFECTIVE BALL JOINTS. MY VEHICLE HAS 84,000 MILES ON IT AND BALL JOINTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES! BALL JOINTS, ACCORDING TO TOP MECHANICS ARE SUPPOSED TO LAST ABOUT 100,000 MILES BEFORE REPLACEMENT AND RARELY SEPARATE. THESE COMPONENTS USED BY DODGE ARE DEADLY, DEFICIENT, AND OUGHT TO HAVE BEEN RECALLED YEARS AGO. HOW MANY MORE LIVES HAVE TO BE LOST BEFORE THE ISSUE IS PROPERLY DEALT WITH?? *TR
CAR/DEER HEAD ON COLLISION AT 65MPH AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY, CAUSING WIPELASH, STRAINED SPINE AND SHOULDER INJURY. SUV WAS A TOTAL LOSS PER INS. COMPANY. *NM
BRAKES FAILED AT 50MPH. SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF SEMI TRUCK AT 40MPH AND TOTALED VECHILE. THE SEATBELT RESTRANT AND AIRBAG SYSTEM FAILED TO ENGAGE. I SLAMMED INTO THE STEERING WHEEL TO BREAK 2 RIBS AND CRACK MY STERNUM. IF THE AIRBAGS WOULD HAVE WENT OFF I WOULDNT BE HAVING BACK AND NECK PROBLEMS EITHER. I WISH DODGE WOULD HELP US INSTEAD OF HURTING US.
DRIVING CAR APPROXIMATLEY 15 MPH DOWN RESIDENTIAL ROAD CAR PULLED HARD TO THE RIGHT RAN OFF ROAD AND HIT A STREET SIGN THEN A TELEPHONE POLE CAR WAS TOTALED AND THE ADJUSTER STATED THAT THE UPPER BALL JOINT IN THE STEERING MECHANISM FAILED. *JB
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN COLLISION WHILE GOING ABOUT 55-60 MPH AND A VAN CROSSED IN FRONT, CAUSING CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO REAR-END THE OTHER VEHICLE. ABS BRAKES FAILED. CONSUMER PUSHED THE BRAKES DOWN TO THE FLOOR, BUT VEHICLE STILL DID NOT STOP. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK

CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISON, AND WAS HIT AT 55MPH, CONSUMER SUFFERED INJURIES DUE TO THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING, 2 OTHER PEOPLE WERE ALSO INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT.*JB
MY WIFE PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO WALK INTO A STORE AND THE CAR JUMPED INTO REVERSE, MOVING QUICKLY TOWARD A BUSY STREET WITH MY SON IN THE BACK SEAT. SHE WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AND DIVE IN, HITTING THE BRAKES IN TIME TO AVOID A COLLISION. HER ONLY INJURY WAS A BRUISE ON HER HEAD FROM HITTING THE DOOR FRAME, BUT HAD SHE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RECOVER IN TIME THE CAR CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH THE INDICATOR (TELLING WHAT GEAR I AM IN) IN THE PAST, BUT THE DEALER DISMISSED ALL CLAIMS OF DEFECT. WHEN I HEARD OF THE GRAND CHEROKEE PROBE I REALIZED THERE WAS SOMEHTING I COULD DO TO REPORT THIS PROBLEM. I HOPE OTHERS DO AS WELL.*AK

I WAS IN A HEAD ON COLLISION, HIT AT 55 MILES PER HOUR. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY! I SUSTAINED PERMANENT INJURIES, INCLUDING A KNEE SURGERY FROM HITTING THE DASH. RECENTLY, AND ARTICLE HIT THE PRESS ABOUT DAIMLER/CHRYSLER MINIVANS 1996-2000, AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING CAUSING INJURIES. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO, TO GET SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO ME? I HAVE FILED 3 COMPLAINTS, AND LEFT MESSAGES AND HAVE YET TO SEE A COMPLAINT FILED OR A PHONE CALL RETURNED. IF I HAD DIED, THEN, MAYBE SOMEONE WOULD PAY ATTENTION TO A PROBLEM. NO DEPLOYMENT OF AIR BAGS DURING VEHICLE COLLISION.
AS MY WIFE, STARLA LEE CITARELLA ,WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE THE BRAKE PEDAL PAD SLIPPED OFF AS SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES. HER FOOT THEN HIT THE GAS PEDAL , CAUSING VCEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. SHE WAS ABLE TO DIRECT THE CAR AWAY FROM THE PARKED CARS AROUND HER AND WENT UP A SMALL EM BANKEMENT, STRIKING A LIGHT POST AND A SMALL TREE. SHE PROCEDED OVER THE SMALL HILL AND CAME TO REST ON THE DOWNWARD SLOPE. *AK
