The contact owned a 2011 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving at 35-40 MPH, the vehicle rolled over and crashed into a residence yard. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was knocked unconscious and was transported from the vehicle to the hospital with the assistance of emergency units. A police vehicle was filed. The contact sustained fractured vertebrae at the base of the neck, and several lacerations on the buttocks and face. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 148,000.
POLICE REPORT; BRUNSWICK, OH 2002113 1/16/2020 UNIT 2 WAS TRAVELING NORTH ON MARKS ROAD. UNIT 3 WAS SOUTH BOUND ON MARKS ROAD ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO SLEEPY HOLLOW ROAD. UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING SOUTH BOUND ON MARKS ROAD. UNIT 1 CROSSED LEFT OF CENTER TO AVOID HITTING UNIT 3. UNIT 1 STRUCK THE REAR LEFT CORNER OF UNIT 3 AND THEN STRUCK UNIT 2 HEAD ON. DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF UNIT1 REPORTED NO INJURIES, THEY WERE CLEARED BY EMS. DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF UNIT 2 REPORTED INJURIES AND WERE TRANSPORTED TO SOUTHWEST GENERAL (ER) BRUNSWICK CAMPUS. DRIVER OF UNIT 3 REPORTED NO INJURIES. THE DRIVER OF UNIT 1 WAS SITED IN VIOLATION OF ORC 4511.21A ASSURED CLEAR DISTANCE (SPEED). CITATION NUMBER; T44852 THE AIRBAGS IN UNIT 2 DID NOT DEPLOY. AIR BAGS IN UNIT 1 DEPLOYED FRONT AND SIDES. INSURANCE CLAIM NUMBER: PROGRESSIVE 205164024 CAR HAS BEEN RELEASED TO INSURANCE COMPANY. TITLE HAS NOT BEEN SIGNED OVER TO THEM YET. TRANS-COUNTY TOWING, 585 STATE STREET, MEDINA, OH (216-407-5282) SAID THE CAR WAS TOTALED. INSURANCE COMPANY HAS NOT REPORTED THEIR RESULTS OF INSPECTION. I HAVE PHOTO OF CARS AND INJURIES BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD THEM. POLICE ALSO TOOK PHOTOS.
"TAKATA RECALL" ON MAY 11TH 2019, MY AUNTIE AND I WERE INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT THAT WAS NO FAULT OF MY OWN. A BLACK TOYOTA STOP IN FRONT OF WHEN US, I HIT THE BRAKES ON IMPACT, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND BLOWUP IN MY FACE, KNOCKING OUT ONE OF MY CROWNS AND SHIFT MY TEETH, I WENT TO THE DENTIST OFFICE AFTER LEAVING THE HOSPITAL, THE DOCTOR TOLD ME I SWALLOWED PARTICLES AND MY LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE WOULD NOT STOP HURTING, I ALSO LET THE DENTIST KNOW THE AIRBAG BLOWUP IN MY FACE, HE FOUND MY ROOT CANAL WAS FRAMED IN HALF, IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 12,000.00 OF MY OWN MONEY TO REPAIR THE TOOTH AND OTHER DAMAGE TEETH THAT WERE SHIFTED OR I WOULD LOOSE THEM IN THE FUTURE, I HAVEN'T SMILED SENSE.I WAS DRIVING NORTH BOUND ON HIGHWAY THEY WERE TRAVELING EAST BOUND AT A FOUR WAY CROSSING INTO A GAS STATION.
CAR WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE IMPACT ACCIDENT AND THE SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT WHEN DRIVING. A CAR SWERVED INTO MY LANE AND THE POWER STEALING GAVE OUT AS I ATTEMPT TO SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE FOR SAFETY TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. DEFECTIVE POWER STEERING CAYS ED ACCIDENT AND INJURY. FRAUDULENT CONCEALMENT OF DEFECTS (FORD JUNK CARS RIP OFF ) WENT TO FORD IN NOVEMBER 2016 ABOUT POWER STEARING AFTER THEY REPORTED NUMEROUS TIMES THEIR WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE STEERING. THEY FINALLY TOLD ME, AFTER THE STEERING COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING, THAT THEY ALREADY FIXED THE POWER STEERING IN A PREVIOUS RECALL. LIARS!!!! I HAVE THE RECEIPT FROM THE PREVIOUS VISIT AND NO POWER STEERING WAS FIXED. SAME OLD PART IS IN CAR. AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY$1200 DOLLARS! I CALLED FORD AND THEY SAY THE RECALL EXPIRED AND I NEVER BROUGHT MY CAR IN... IF THAT'S SO WHY DO I HAVE SERVICE RECIEPT. LIARS!
MY WIFE WAS IN A ACCIDENT INVOLVING HER 2011 FORD ESCAPE. SHE WAS HIT IN THE FRONT END BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND HER CAR WAS TOTALED. HER AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY!! SHE WAS BEAT UP AND BRUISED QUITE A BIT BUT WAS LUCKY TO NOT HAVE ANY BROKEN BONES. I BELIEVE THAT IF EITHER VEHICLE WERE TRAVELING FASTER THAN THEY WERE SHE MIGHT HAD BEEN SEVERELY INJURED IF NOT KILLED. I SENT FORD THE INFO INCLUDING THE VIN NUMBER 3 DAYS AGO AND HAVE NOT HAD A REPLY. DO YOU THINK THIS WAS AN ANOMALY OR HAVE YOU HEARD OTHER FORD ESCAPES WITH THE SAME ISSUE?? MY WIFE HAD STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND SAID SHE LOOKED BOTH WAYS THEN PROCEEDED TO PULL MAKING A LEFT TURN WHEN THE OTHER VEHICLE APPROACHED HER FROM HER LEFT AND STRUCK HER IN THE FRONT END ON AN ANGLE. THE ENTIRE FRONT GRILL AND BUMPER WERE BOTH KNOCKED OFF PUSHING THE RADIATOR INTO THE ENGINE. MY WIFE WAS CITED FOR FAILURE TO YIELD.

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE OWNER RECEIVED INJURIES TO HER KNEE AND BACK WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED OR TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET ROAD AT NIGHT 55 MPH A DEER JUMPED FROM SIDE OF THE ROAD TO CROSS HIT THE DEER HAD TO PULL OVER CAR STARTED SMOKING RADIATOR FLUID EVERYWHERE THE CAR WAS TOTALED. THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. I WAS HURT AND I HAD 4 PASSENGER, ALL WERE WEARING SEATBELTS INCLUDING MYSELF. I DIDN'T FILE A POLICE REPORT AS I FIGURED IT WAS A DEER WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO ARREST THE DEER. I COULD NOT AFFORD THE REPAIRS OR PAYMENTS FOR THE VEHICLE ANYMORE SO I VOLUNTARY GAVE BACK MY VEHICLE TO THE COMPANY.

I INVESTIGATED A TRAFFIC COLLISION INVOLVING A 2011 FORD ESCAPE THAT SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT FRONT END DAMAGE DURING THE EVENT. THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY DURING THE COLLISION AFTER THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE FRONT BUMPER AREA TO INCLUDE THE BUCKLING OF THE HOOD AREA. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE VEHICLE DAMAGE I CAN E-MAIL SHOWING THE VEHICLE AND DAMAGE SUSTAINED. INJURIES WERE INCURRED FROM PARTIES IN BOTH VEHICLES (2 CAR COLLISION). WHILE SLOWING TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN A TURNING LANE BEHIND TWO OTHER VEHICLES, THE SUBJECT VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION SLIPPED FROM GEAR AND DISENGAGED THE ENGINE. WHEN THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION REENGAGED THE ENGINES REMAINING TORQUE NOT YET DISPLACED, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD CAUSING A LOSE OF CONTROL AND THE BRAKES TO LOCK UP FROM ATTEMPTING THE BRAKING ACTION ALREADY TAKING PLACE. THE SUBJECT VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPT. TO HAVE ITS TRANSMISSION THAT PREVIOUSLY AND COMPLETELY BURNT ITS CLUTCHES OUT AT ONLY 14,775 MILES DRIVEN. THE SYMPTOMS OF THE TRANSMISSION BURNING THE CLUTCHES OUT WAS PRESENTING ITSELF IN AN INCREASING MANNER FROM AROUND 5,000 MILES. THE NEWLY REBUILT TRANSMISSION FAILED AT ONLY 21,150 MILES AT THE TIME OF THE TOTAL LOSS INCIDENT. *TR
I JUST GOT OFF THE FREEWAY ON RAMP AND SLOWED FOR TRAFFIC. TRAFFIC JUST STARTED TO GO SO, I JUST TOOK MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE AND SLOWLY PROCEEDED TO MOVE, WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE I WAS THROWN FORWARD AND OUT OF MY SEAT. THE VIOLENT IMPACT PUSHED MY VEHICLE INTO A TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME, THAT IMPACT CAUSED ME TO FLY BACKWARDS AND MY DRIVER'S SEAT BROKE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIR BAG AND SEAT FAILURE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN SHE WAS REAR ENDED, HER HEAD FLEW FORWARD AND HIT THE STEERING WHEEL WITH HER MOUTH, THEN FLEW BACKWARD, WHERE THE BACK OF THE SEAT COLLAPSED, WHICH ALLOWED HER TO FLY BACK AND LAND AT A PARTIALLY RECLINED POSITION. FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES, SHE LAID IN THE VEHICLE, SUFFERING FROM MUSCLE SPASMS, TRYING TO DETERMINE IF SHE COULD STAND UP. THE CONSUMER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A CONCUSSION AND WHIPLASH.
I WAS T-BONED WHILE MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN IN THE DRIVER'S DOOR. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR. THE DAMAGE RESULTED IN $15,500 + RESULTING IN A TOTAL LOSS. I WENT TO THE ER SUFFERING FROM HEAD TRAUMA. I SUSTAINED A SIGNIFICANT CONCUSSION, WAS OUT OF WORK FOR 1 WEEK. MY AIR BAGS NEVER WENT OFF. *TR

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING LESS THAN 20 MPH APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION AN OPPOSING VEHICLE SUDDENLY CRASHED INTO THE FRONT END OF THE CONTACTS VEHICLE CAUSING A HEAD ON COLLISION. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE SHOULDER, CHEST, AND TO THE LEFT ARM AND LEG. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE SEAT BELT UNLATCHED FROM THE BUCKLE MECHANISM DURING THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND FACILITY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75.
FORD ESCAPE 2011 HAD A CAR ACCIDENT ON MAY 17TH 2011 I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND AND WITH THE IMPACT I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. WHEN I WAS HIT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, ALSO THE DRIVERS SEAT BROKE IN HALF. THE HUNK HORN WOULD NOT STOP BLOWING. DUE TO THE CAR SEAT BRAKING I HAVE SEVERAL INJURIES AND HAVE BEEN GOING TO THERAPY DAILY. I HAD A 2010 FORD FOCUS AND CHANGED IT TO THE FORD ESCAPE FOR SECURITY PURPOSES AND NOW THIS HAPPENS. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE AT ALL AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. DUE TO THE ACCIDENT I HAVE NO CAR NOW AND NOW WHY OF GETTING ANYWHERE AND THE WAIT WILL BE PROLONGED DUE TO THE SAFETY FEATURES THAT DID NOT WORK ON THE CAR THEY HAVE TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER. *TR
