THERE WAS EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE I HIT. THE FINAL TOTAL FOR REPAIRS OF MY JEEP WERE APPROXIMATELY $13,000. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY IN MY VEHICLE CAUSING ME TO HIT MY WRIST AGAINST THE THE STEERING WHEEL AND I SUFFERED A MODERATE WRIST INJURY THAT STILL BOTHERS ME MONTHS LATER. I BOUGHT THE 2007 JEEP JK USED WITH APPROXIMATELY 81,000 MILES. SHORTLY, AFTER OWNING THE VEHICLE I EXPERIENCED THE JUMP OUT OF GEAR (JOG). IT IS A VERY FRIGHTENING, AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN STARTING IN FIRST GEAR FROM A DEAD STOP. MOST OFTEN, THERE ARE VEHICLES BEHIND YOU, WHEN THE JOG OCCURS THE VEHICLES BEHIND ARE NOT PREPARED FOR YOUR LOSS OF FORWARD MOMENTUM. ON ONE INSTANCE I HAVE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. ON MANY OTHER INSTANCES THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CLOSE CALLS. THE OTHER DANGER IS IF ONE IS PULLING OUT AND CROSSING A TRAFFIC LANE. LOSING FORWARD MOMENTUM CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AS CARS APPROACH FROM EITHER THE LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE. I TRULY BELIEVE THIS ISSUE IS A RESULT OF A TRANSMISSION DESIGN FLAW THAT SHOULD BE COVERED BY JEEP NO MATTER IF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. IN MOST OF THESE CASES, THERE HAS TO BE SEVERAL RELATED INJURIES BEFORE THESE MANUFACTURERS WILL TAKE ACTION. IT IS ALL A COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS.

I HAVE HAD THE "DEATH WOBBLE" SINCE I PURCHASED MY JEEP. THIS HAPPENED ON BOTH STOCK SUSPENSION AND MODIFIED SUSPENSION AND SO FAR, IT HAS HAPPENED EASILY WELL OVER 160 TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THIS LAST YEAR (I LOST COUNT AS IT HAPPENS FEQUENTLY). I'VE DISHED OUT WELL OVER $1,000 TO FIX (SO FAR), HAVE HAD TWO ACCIDENTS (NOV. 2, 2014 AND APR. 14, 2015, BOTH MINOR WITH NO POLICE REPORTS MADE EITHER TIME) AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THIS, COUNTLESS NEAR MISSES, MANY A DRINK SPILLED ON THE FLOOR BOARD OR MYSELF THEN THE FLOOR THANKS TO EITHER THE GUT-WRENCHING WOBBLE ITSELF, OR HAVING TO SLAM ON THE BREAKS. EVEN MORE UNSAFE, IS THAT EVERYTIME IT HAPPENS, THE ONLY WAY TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY OR RISK FURTHER DAMAGE AND/OR LOSING CONTROL. THIS MEANS HAVING TO SLAM ON THE BREAKS MANY TIMES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND HOPE THAT 1.) I'M ACTUALLY DRIVING AS MY FIANC WOULDN'T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO KEEP CONTROL 2.) I MAINTAIN ENOUGH CONTROL TO GUIDE THE JEEP TO AN EMERGENCY LANE SO I CAN STOP SAFELY. 3.) HOPE THAT OTHER DRIVERS ARE PAYING ATTENTION AND DON'T HIT ME. THIS IS REDICULOUS, AND THE MORE IT HAPPENS, THE LESS SAFE I FEEL, AND THE MORE RISK THAT MYSELF AND MY FAMILY ARE PLACED IN. JEEP HAS A TYPICAL RESPONSES OF, "WE DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG.", "THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO.", "WE ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT CANNOT OFFER A REMIDY.", OR "LET'S REPLACE THIS. SORRY IT DIDN'T HELP. LET'S TRY THIS. YES, WE UNDERSTAND IT DIDN'T WORK, BUT WE STILL HAD TO REPLACE IT, SO YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY." PLAIN REDICULOUS, AND WHAT'S MORE CONCERNING IS THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS IT. PLEASE HELP!

2007 JEEP WRANGLER WITH RECALL FOR BRAKE FAILURE. CONSUMER STATES THAT HE FINALLY RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE FAULTY BRAKES. HE WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE BRAKE REPAIR SINCE HIS WAS FIXED BEFORE THE RECALL WAS SENT OUT. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM OCCURRED WHILE HE WAS IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE, LOW RANGE OVER THE TOP OF A SMALL RISE. WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE, NOTHING HAPPENED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THE SMALL DOWN SLOPE CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO SPEED UP AND HIT A LOW SET OF ROCKS AND HARD DIRT.
