I WAS STOPPED IN A TURN LANE WAITING FOR THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TO CHANGE WHEN I WAS IMPACTED BY ANOTHER DRIVER AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. THE DRIVE DROVE DIRECTLY INTO THE FRONT OF MY JEEP AS IF SHE WAS AIMING FOR IT. DESPITE MY FOOT BEING ON THE BRAKE MY JEEP WAS PUSHED IN REVERSE AT LEAST 50 FT DUE TO THE FORCEFUL IMPACT. NEITHER VEHICLES WERE DRIVABLE DUE TO THE FRONTEND DAMAGE. THANKFULLY, I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT BECAUSE MY AIRS DIDN'T NOT DEPLOY AS EXPECTED IN A FRONTEND COLLISION.

I WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION, WITH ANOTHER MOTOR VEHICLE INCIDENT, TO WIT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED APPROPRIATELY. WHERE IN WHICH I RECEIVED INJURY FROM THE COLLISION ACCIDENT. AS A RESULT OF THE COLLISION INCIDENTS, I FURTHER INQUIRED WITH THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENTS MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, AND WAS INFORMED, THAT THE DEPLOYMENT CONTACT SWITCH LOCATED ON THE FRONT OF MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER, WAS LOCATED IN THE FRONT GRILL AREA, AND NOT LOCATED IN THE FRONT BUMPER AREA. RECENTLY BACK IN THE FALL OF 2016, I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM FIAT CHRYSLER JEEP CORPORATION. THAT MY 2016 JEEP WRANGLERS AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM HAD A RECALL ISSUE. WHICH FURTHER STATED, LET AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEMS RANGING BACK TO 2012 JEEP WRANGLERS, EXTENDING TO 2017 JEEP WRANGLERS. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT AS A RESULT OF MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER COLLISION WHICH ENDED UP IN A TOTAL LOSS. I HAD TO PURSUE ANOTHER VEHICLE, HENCE MY 2016 JEEP WRANGLER, AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM RECALL NOTICE. FURTHER BE ADVISED, THAT WHEN I HAD TO SHOP AGAIN FOR ANOTHER MOTOR VEHICLE, TO WIT MY 2016 JEEP WRANGLER. I HAD ASKED THE DEALERSHIP SALES PERSON, IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM HAD EVER CHANGED FROM THE 2015 JEEP WRANGLERS, TO THE 2016 JEEP WRANGLERS? WHERE IN WHICH I WAS INFORMED THAT THE SAME AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEMS IN THE 2015 JEEP WRANGLER'S WERE THE SAME IN THE 2016 JEEP WRANGLERS. WHERE, GIVEN THE FACT THAT MOTOR VEHICLE AIRBAG RECALLS BY OTHER MANUFACTURING COMPANIES, ARE BEING CALLED INTO QUESTION? IT IS MY CONTENTION, THAT THE 2015 JEEP WRANGLER AIRBAG APPOINTMENT SYSTEM THEN I HAD OWNED AT THE TIME OF THE COLLISION, WAS DEFECTIVE AS WELL. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME ANYTIME REGARDING THIS ISSUE, OR ANYTHING ELSE RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED

The radiator is poorly built and leaks, I have had mine replace several times by the dealership This is dangerous because it causes overheating in the engine which can cause hose to bust and engine to seize up . The oil filter house is engineered incorrect and all of them have been breaking causing oil to leak which again, ruins other components in the engine because of loss of oil. Its dangerous because the oil that leaks down through the outer portion of the engine, through to the sides and leaks over the bottom of the transmission onto the ground which is: 1. Environmental hazard- oil leaking causes water pollution, soil contamination, harm to animals and plants 2. Leaking oil is a FIRE HAZARD and safety issues for other vehicles causing slippery conditions for other vehicles 3. Causes engine damage and eventually failure I urge you to obtain the records of all the repairs jeep dealers did both under warranty and past the warranty dates. Your team will see what an issue this is and the 10000000s of Jeep Wranglers that have had these unsafe problems with the OIL Filter Housing and Radiator issues during and after the warranty. Jeep / Chrysler have created a deceptive way for revenue by allowing Jeep dealers to charge the customers for faulty engineering so they can gain profits in repairs that is the Manufacturer's own fault thereby gouging Jeep Wrangler owners.

Fire

Our 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited just caught on fire. I happened to be in my daughter’s bedroom, 20 feet away from where the Jeep was parked. I thought I was seeing flames reflecting from the TV, but I realized that they were real. My next thought was that my husband was building a firepit fire. I thought that was weird because he was doing it in the front yard, but I didn’t think any more about it because I was so focused on my work. I went back to work for a second, but something told me to look again. I did, and then realized that it was the Jeep that was on fire. I screamed for my husband, but couldn’t find him; I was scared that he was in the Jeep. Actually, he had been in the back yard and heard me screaming, so he ran up front to see what was happening. I called 911 while my husband tried to put the fire out with the water hose, which didn’t help- the flames kept getting higher. It took firefighters a while to extinguish the flames and to get it cooled off. The engine appears to be melted. It is in our yard and available for inspection. The fire fighters made a report that my husband has requested. We’re waiting on the insurance company to contact us. The fire smelled electrical. We smelled no gasoline. I was absolutely horrified thinking about what might have happened if it had ignited at night when no one was looking. My daughter, my pets, my husband, and I could have all been casualties of this spontaneous fire. The fact that it was day time, the unusual coincidence that I was where I was so that I saw the fire, and the fact that my husband parked on a different side of the yard than usual, all probably are the reasons we are alive today. Had any one of those events not been in play, it could have been a very different outcome. My husband had no indication that there was a problem with the Jeep. He’d just driven it. He reported no odors and no problems at all. He takes excellent care of it, so it was in great condition.

I had a 2015 2 dr Jeep Wrangler Willy's edition. In march 2023, after sitting cold in the driveway for 10+ hours, it spontaneously combusted. It was very obviously an electrical fire based on the smell alone. It appeared that the most damage was in the area of the battery and fuse box. Vehicle was completely totaled and I found many reports online of similar issues, including many wranglers that were completely totaled after the fire. There is no official acknowledgement of this recurring issue. The fire caught so fast, if I had not been parked in the driveway faced away from the house, I might not have a home either. Insurance did not do an investigation into the cause of the fire.
