A REAR TIRE BLEW CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE STRUCK A SHALE WALL ON THE SIDE OF A HIGHWAY AND SOMEONE DIED IN THE VEHICLE.
Motor vehicle accident 4/21/22. Vehicle stalled hit by 18 wheeler. Several times on several occasions after that on several days vehicle stalled in interstates with multiple 18 wheelers, trucks cars almost hitting me/my vehicle each time it stalled. Now and since May 2022, the transmission completely failed and is inoperable at this time. The stalling in the middle of interstate traffic where the speed limit on 4/21/22 is 55mph & on the interstate 65mph(The vehicle coasted slowly to the side of the road & stopped changing gears to go in either direction)

THE CONTACT AND HIS SON SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND STOMACH, AND BRUISES TO THE CHIN. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO HIS RESIDENCE. PALM CHEVROLET (2300 SW COLLEGE RD, OCALA, FL 34471, (352) 629-8011) WAS CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FRONT BUMPER WAS DAMAGED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE DEALER PROVIDE A REPAIR ESTIMATE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
DURING A MINOR INCIDENT WITH LOW IMPACT AND AT A LOW SPEED, BOTH FRONT SEAT SEATBELT PRETNESIONERS FIRED OFF, LOCKING BOTH BELTS COMPLETELY AND FILLING THE TRUCK WITH SMOKE. NO ONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN THAT ONE ENGAGED. I WAS BACKING UP IN A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT SLOWLY AND DID NOT SEE A CONCRETE SLAB BEHIND ME DUE TO THE ANGLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2018 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH AND ENDED UP IN A RIVER EMBANKMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED AWAY. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT PRETENSIONERS FAILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BROKEN BACK AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE I WAS THE AT FAULT DRIVER, I WAS APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT AND DID NOT NOTICE THE RED LIGHT NOR THE CAR STOPPED UNTIL APPROXIMATELY THREE SECONDS BEFORE IMPACT. ONCE I RECOGNIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, I IMMEDIATELY SLAMMED ON THE BREAKS. I HIT THE OTHER DRIVER IN THE REAR OF HIS VEHICLE. AS STATED ABOVE, I HIT MY BREAKS ABOUT 3 SECONDS BEFORE IMPACT, BUT MY ABS DID NOT ACTIVATE; INSTEAD MY BREAKS LOCKED AND I SLID 15-30 FEET INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, SINCE MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, A TOW TRUCK WAS REQUIRED TO TOW MY TRUCK. UPON ARRIVAL OF THE TOW, MY TRUCK WOULD NOT START, SO HE NEEDED TO PULL IT UP ONTO THE BED OF HIS TOW TRUCK WITH CHAINS. ONCE HOOKED UP, HE BEGAN TO DRAG THE TRUCK UP. THE TOW DRIVER ASKED ME IF THE TRUCK WAS 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND WHETHER I HAD BEEN DRIVING IN 4 WHEEL. I INDICATED IT DID, BUT I WAS NOT DRIVING IN 4 WHEEL MODE. I ASKED WHY HE HAD ASKED, AND HE SAID THAT IT WHILE PULLING THE TRUCK UP, ALL FOUR WHEELS WERE LOCKED. HE SAID THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN NORMALLY. I'M NOT SURE EXACTLY HOW THE MECHANICS OF ABS WORK, BUT I HAVE FELT ABS ENGAGE MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE ATTENDING DRIVERS TRAINING FOR WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS. MY ABS DID NOT ACTIVATE; THERE WAS NO STUTTER OF THE BREAKS, ONLY A STABLE PRESS WITH NO ACTIVE RESPONSE OTHER THAN LOCKED BREAKS AND A LONG SKID.
While driving my truck on [XXX] , steering locks up, unable to turn the steering wheel. Crashes into guard rail going approximately 57mph, thankfully no other vehicle involved in this matter. I was not hurt, and had seatbelt buckled and then noticed damaged on the drivers side of the truck. Which included front bumper, left headlamp assembly, left front fender, left upper control arm, damage to front and rear doors, bedside panel, rear bumper and both wheels, and tires. Gerber Collision body shop in Henderson, Ky wrote the estimate and did the repairs for approximately $16,000.00 in damage and paint. On 10/02/2023 we took this truck to Kenny Kent Chevrolet for power steering intermittently going out, and they replaced the battery, codes for low voltage to power steering module. Tested battery and found to test bad, so they replaced the battery. Checked for codes and none were found after replacement of the battery, appeared to be the point of failure at this time. That repair was $404.96, kind of strange on part availability for a electric power steering is on BACKORDER! and module is not serviced separately, and even NO RECALLS INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The wheel/wheels locked up while in motion and caused vehicle to veer off road and cause the vehicle to crash. ABS light and Stability Control System warning came on prior to crash.
The contact owned a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at 80 MPH the steering wheel became stiff and the vehicle would not brake without any warning. The contact desperately pressed on the brake pedal but the vehicle would not brake, causing the contact to be struck by another vehicle on the driver's side. No one was injured and no major damage to none of the vehicles. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed a loss. All the air bags deploy but the front driver side. The manufacturer was not unable to reach them. The failure mileage was 69,000.
At a low speeds while taking a turn, the electrical system clicks off and then clicks back on after about a second. Im able to see the voltage drop while taking the turn. When this happens, the power steering goes out while taking the turn. This exact incident is consistent with the recall of the year 2014 Silverado as stated in this article https://www.zehllaw.com/another-gm-recall-800000-chevrolet-silverado-gmc-sierra-trucks-faulty-power-steering/
rear back glass) Back glass explosion diving down interstate distraction to say the least.)chevy recalled some but not mine)just happened no inspection)no warnning

PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW AUTO UP BROKE AND ALMOST COMPLETELY SEVERED A ADULT MALES RING FING TIP. IN A PARKING LOT THE WINDOW WENT UP 'USING AUTO UP'. A FRIEND WAS GETTING IN THE TRUCK AND HAD HIS FINGER UNFORTUNATELY IN THE WAY THE WINDOW DID NOT STOP AFTER COMING INTO CONTACT WITH HIS FINGER AND IT WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY SEVERED AT THE TIP.
PARKED AND SHUT OFF, DISCONNECTED TRAILER. TRUCK ROLLED BACK WHILE IN PARK. I JUMPED OUT OF WAY AND TRIED TO OPEN DOOR TO STOP. DOOR KNOCKED ME DOWN AND CONTINUED BACKWARDS DRAGGING ME. FINAL STOP OVER EDGE OF POND AGAINST TREE STUMP. HAD TOWED TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION BY CHEVY ENGINEER. 2 WEEKS NO COMMUNICATION.
Failed/collapsed lifters associated with known Active Fuel Management (AFM) issues. These issues are documented in Technical Service Bulletins and I believe there are Special Campaigns for 2014-2018 L83 engine, but my VIN does not have a Special Campaign attached to it for some reason. I believe there are also class action lawsuits associated with these known issues, but a recall has not been issued.
Parking brake pad failure has occurred twice. Last month at 31,668 mi, truck was taken in for servicing a warning light due to TPM failure (all replaced), and I asked for parking brake inspection because I was pushing pedal to the floor in order to engage. Mechanic said "Left rear prkg brake shoe has section missing." He had never seen that before and I exclaimed that it happened first in Apr 2021 at 18,770 mi. I am not sure which side it was since it was not written on the service invoice, but I suspect the right side because during a Nov 2021 oil change the invoice included "adjusted rear rh parking brake." OEM replacement pads were installed both times. I have the latest failed pad which shows about 2 in of material missing from the shoe substrate, not the 2021. Kearny Mesa Chevy repaired this in 2021; Walt's Danville Service in 2026. No safety issue, but could have been a problem in event of brake failure an need to stop vehicle by applying parking brake that would not hold. I asked KMChevy if this should be a warranty repair or a recall issue and they refused to consider in 2021. It cannot be coincidence that this happened to Chevy OEM equipment, I suspect to both sides. I paid ~$500 each time and feel that Chevy corporate should compensate me.
The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle started shaking abnormally. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
We purchased a 2018 Fully Loaded Chevy Silverado LTZ/Z71 ($60,000) in 2019, with the idea it would last. After being super meticulous with maintenance and keeping this vehicle in top condition, we just passed the 110,000 mile mark. I have receipts of all the work/maintenance completed on this vehicle. I began to hear a ticking noise in the engine block, and the check engine light came on, so I pulled the codes and went to a local transmission/engine mechanic to find that I have a bent push rod (manufacture failure) due a failed lifter/AFM system. I opted not to take it directly to the dealer as they charge $179 base rate for diagnosis which could increase depending on the diagnosis needed. After numerous calls, I found this is a very common ($7,500-$11,000+) issue with '18-'21 models. Explored my options only to find the 2021- 2026 engines are worse with issues involving crankshaft, engine seizures and an active lawsuit with the new 6.2L V8 engines. (Silverado, GMC Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukons) I was then pointed in the direction of speaking to the GM Manufacture directly, again. I had contacted them numerous times and was told the damages, even though are not preventable and are directly due to a manufacture error. I was told I must take my vehicle to a licensed service dealer to be diagnosed. I informed them, that I was already told my vehicle would not be covered so I did not feel the need to endure additional cost only to be told the cost would again, not be covered. I'm not seeking full payment; I even mentioned Goodwill assistance of which they denied; however, I'm without a vehicle and have received very little to no communication in resolving this issue, which is an issue I'm finding is happening to many others alike and General Motors Corp, is not taking any responsibility or accountability in this matter.
