THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR FAILED CAUSING ENGINE TO RACE. THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD AND IMPACTED THE BRICK WALL BY THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR. THE IMPACT KNOCKED THE DRIVER UNCONSCIOUS. WHEN HE CAME TO THE ENGINE WAS STILL RACING AND THE TIRES WERE SPINNING. HE KILLED THE ENGINE BY TURNING THE KEY OFF. IT BENT THE BUMPER AND IT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE HOUSE. UPON IMPACT WITH THE OTHER DRIVER(HE WAS DRUNK) THE SEAT BELT PULLED APART WITH THE IMPACT. AND THAT POINT I WAS SEVERLY INJURIED. THE INJURIES WOULD NOT BEEN OF THE NATURE THAT THEY WERE IF THE BELT DID NOT BREAK. TIRE CONTINUED TO HOLD AIR, AND WAS STILL HOLDING AIR UNTIL NEW TIRE WAS PURCHASED. I PURCHASED A COMPLETE NEW SET OF WILDERNESS TIRES ON THE SAME DAY DUE TO MILEAGE AND NOT WANTING MISMATCHED TIRES. NOW I AM STUCK WITH ANOTHER SET THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE JUST AS DANGEROUS. THIS INCIDENT OCCURED PRIOR TO THE PUBLICITY ON FIRESTONE TIRES. OTHERWISE, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER BRAND.
