TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2002 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A TRAILER THAT WAS STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE STARTED TO BURN. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT DID NOT KNOW WHETHER A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.
WOKE UP AT 1AM ONE 4-1-2018 TO MY FORD F 150 ON FIRE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT UNDER THE HOOD. UNKNOW TO US OUR LOCAL SHERIFF HAD SPOTTED THE FIRE AND ALREADY CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. TOTAL LOSS. BOUGHT THE TRUCK A FEW MONTHS BACK WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF A RECALL ON THE SPEED CONTROL SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING IN OUR DRIVE NEXT TO OUR OTHER CARS FOR 3 HOUR WITH KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION.
2002 FORD F150 AIR BAG DEPLOYED DURING AN ACCIDENT. THE AIR BAG KNOCKED THE CONSUMER OUT OF THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY KNOCKING THE AND GAVE HIM CHEMICAL BURNS. *TS THE CONSUMER WAS WEARING HIS SEAT BELT WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED. *NM
The contact owned a 2002 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 50 MPH, she crashed into a tree. The air bags failed to deploy upon impact. The contact's wife was taken to the hospital where she was treated for a concussion, multiple hematomas to her right thigh, right abdomen, and head; as well as three fractures on her vertebrae. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed from the scene to an independent tow yard where it remained in their possession. The dealer nor the manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The contact was informed by his insurance that the vehicle was a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 280,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY WHEN A CAR THAT WAS TRAVELING IN AN EXCESS OF 80+ MILES AND REAR-ENDED MY 2002 FORD F 150. MY TRUCK WAS TOTALED AND MY DRIVERS SEAT BACK FRAME BROKE FROM RIGHT SIDE AND NONE OF MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 3 DAYS. I HAD A CONCUSSION, NECK INJURY, KNEES AND RE-INJURED MY BACK. I WAS LUCKY TO BE ALIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT'S FATHER OWNED A 2002 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE IN A PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND SPUN OUT OF CONTROL. THE DRIVER STRUCK A CURB TO AVOID CRASHING INTO OTHER VEHICLES IN THE PARKING LOT. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE WENT AIRBORNE AND STRUCK A TELEPHONE POLE, BUT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED UPON TOUCHING THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE THEN DROVE OVER ANOTHER CURB AND CRASHED INTO SOME BUSHES. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND PLACED IN STORAGE. THE CONTACT'S FATHER NO LONGER OWNS THE VEHICLE BECAUSE HE IS DECEASED DUE TO UNRELATED CIRCUMSTANCES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. 2002 F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ISSUES WITH FRONT TIRES. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THEIR DAD HAD AN ACCIDENT TO DUE POSSIBLE DEFECTIVE TIRES. *TR
INVOLVED IN A ROLL OVER ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE (PURCHASED IN 5-13-2014) BFG 275/60R17 FROM DISCOUNT TIRES. TRUCK WAS TOTALED AND THE ONE PIECE OF TIRE WE HAVE DOES NOT HAVE THE DOT NUMBERS ON THEM. WHEN THE BLOW OUT OCCURRED I HIT SOFT SAND LOSING TRACTION CAUSING THE TRUCK TO ROLL 3 TIMES WHILE ON A MAIN ROAD. I WILL BE INCLUDING THREE PICTURES - ONE OF THE TIRE ON ITS RIM, ONE OF THE TRUCK AT THE TOW YARD AND ONE OF THE PIECE OF TIRE WE PICKED UP OFF THE ROAD UPON MY RELEASE FROM THE HOSPITAL. THE CHP OFFICER DID NOT SPEAK TO ANY WITNESSES AND I HEARD THE LADY WHO CALLED 911 TELL THE OFFICER I SUFFERED A BLOW OUT AND SHE POINTED IT OUT TO HIM - YET HE DOES NOT EVEN MENTION IT IN THE REPORT NOR THE NAMES OF ANY WITNESSES. MY INSURANCE COMPANY (AAA) CLAIMS UNLESS I FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE TIRE MANUFACTURER THEY WILL FIND ME AT FAULT FOR NOT MAINTAINING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH I FIND TO BE TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. I HANDLED A BLOW OUT IN A FORD EXPLORER ON A DRY FREEWAY PREVIOUSLY AND WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT ANY SERIOUS DAMAGE OR INJURIES. DIFFERENT STORY WHEN YOU HIT SAND. I FEEL THE TIRE BLOWING OUT IS WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT.

MY DAUGHTER WAS ROUNDING A CORNER IN HER FORD F150 KING RANCH TRUCK MAKE A HARD PULL TO THE RIGHT AND SHE TRIED TO CORRECT IT AT THAT TIME HER TRUCK BEGAN TO FLIP OVER TWICE. SHE ENDED UP IN A 10FT UPSIDE DOWN TOTALED HER TRUCK AND BROKE HER COLLAR BONE. THERE WAS A WRECKER DRIVER ON THE SCENE THAT NOTICE THE REAR AXLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF HER TRUCK HAD BROKE IN HALF AT THE TIRE. SPOKE WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND THEY SAID THERE SON HAD COMPLAINED TO THEM ABOUT A NOISE IN THE REAR END BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, A VEHICLE CUT IN FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. HE SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND REAR-ENDED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SEVERE CHEST PAINS FROM STRIKING THE STEERING COLUMN AND HIS LEG SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHY THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE INSURANCE AGENT DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG FAILED TO DEPLOY IN A FRONTAL IMPACT AT 35 TO 40MPH. SEAT BELTS WERE IN USE AND MINOR INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS NOT ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP HOWEVER THEY ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHY THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HIS FORD TRUCK F-150 AND SUDDENLY CRASHED INTO A TREE. HE WAS SERIOUSLY INJURY AND STILL IN THE HOSPITAL HE WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION FOR TWO DAYS AND HE WILL BE DISABLE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED LAST WEEK ON MARCH 4,2006.*JB

THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOTALED AND IT HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED AS TO WHY THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER STATES HE HAS A NECK SPRAIN AND A COUPLE OTHER THINGS AND HIS SON WAS ALSO INJURED. WHILE DRIVING DOWN A 2 LANE ROAD IN MY 2002 FORD F-150 "HARLEY DAVISON" PICK-UP TRUCK DOING THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT (50 MPH), I QUICKLY TRIED TO AVOID FROM REARENDING A MID-MODEL 1990 FORD AEROSTAR PASSENGER VAN, AT A SPEED BETWEEN 35-45MPH. AFTER IMPACTING THE REAR END OF THE VAN, THE AIR BAG(S) ON MY AIR BAG EQUIPED VEHICLE "DID NOT DEPLOY". MY SEAT BELT WAS BEING USED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND MYSELF HAD TO TAKE A LOSS OF THE VEHICLE, DUE TO THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE DONE TO MY VEHICLE.
A CAR MADE AN ILLEGAL LEFT TURN IN FRONT OF ME, I HIT THAT CAR DOING ABOUT 55 MPH, AFTER THAT IMPACT THE TRUCK SWERVED TO THE RIGHT. AND I HIT ANOTHER CAR STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. MY QUESTIONS IS WHY DIDN'T MY AIR BAGS DEPLOY. AFTER DOING $12000. DAMAGE AND FORD IS WANTING TO TOTAL MY TRUCK. *JB

CONSUMER STATED THAT HER SON WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE, AND HAD TO RUN OFF INTO A DITCH. THE AIR BAG EXPLODED, AND THREW SON OUT INTO THE FIELD. THE PASSENGER'S SEAT BELT WAS WRAPPED AROUND HIS NECK. ALSO, WHEN THE AIR BAG EXPLODED AND THREW SON OUT OF THE VEHICLE THE AIR BAG MODULE WENT WITH HIM AND LANDED WITH HIM. CONSUMER'S SON SUSTAINED CHEMICAL BURNS. CONSUMER STATED THAT SHE NEVER READ ANYWHERE THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE EJECTED FROM THE STEERING WHEN IT DEPLOYED. *AK
