MY WIFE AND I WERE STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT IN HOT SPRINGS ARKANSAS ON MARCH 8, 2022. ANOTHER VECHICLE RAN INTO US ALMOST HEAD ON AT AN ESTIMATED 30 MPH. THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF OUR TRUCK. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. WE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. MY WIFE HAS SOME BROKEN BONES IN HER BACK AND HAS EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT PAIN SINCE THE ACCIDENT.
Driver side airbag failed to deploy during front end collision. Available for inspection at collision repair facility until repairs are initiated. Problem has not been noted by dealer or recall notice. Has not been inspected by anyone at this time. No warning lamps indicating the airbag was inoperable.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN MY NEW FORD F-150 KING RANCH ON THE ABOVE DATE TRAVELING ON THE HENRY HUDSON PARKWAY (MANHATTAN) SOUTHBOUND. MY TRUCK WAS STRUCK IN THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BY AN UNKNOWN VEHICLE AND CAUSED US TO SPIN OUT 2 TIMES AT 60 MPH AND HIT THE CENTER CONCRETE DIVIDER ALMOST DIRECTLY HEAD ON. WE HIT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK.. THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. THE CANISTERS ON THE SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS OPENED AND THE POWDER WAS ALL OVER BUT THE BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. I DON'T THINK THIS WAS NORMAL AND I FEEL IT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT. THERE WAS $31,000 DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE WHICH WASN'T TOTALED. IS THIS SOMETHING THAT THIS AGENCY WILL LOOK INTO FOR ME? The contact owned a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that his employees had driven the vehicle to a work site. While at the work site, the vehicle caught fire while the engine was off. An employee stated that flames appeared to have come from the vehicle's dashboard. An attempt was made to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher; however, the flames quickly engulfed the vehicle. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed as a result of the fire. One of the contact's employees suffered first and second-degree burns to the face. The employee was taken to a hospital where they were treated for their injury. A police report was not filed. The decal from a storage unit was melted, a blinker cover on an RV was destroyed, and several nearby trees were damaged. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard where it remained in their possession. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be inspected; the cause of the fire remained unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
Transmission downshifted on the interstate and overheated. Wouldn’t go back in to gear. Was in the passing lane and ended in an accident.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was locked and parked on the street with the engine running and unoccupied, the transmission erroneously shifted into gear and the vehicle drove forward. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed into another parked vehicle and landscaping and missed crashing into another vehicle that was driving in the opposite direction. The contact expressed concerns because no one was present inside the vehicle during the failure. The contact stated that the Police Department was contacted but no officers showed up on scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the failure was not determined. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the PCM needed to be reprogrammed; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.
Somehow my daughter engaged park assist. She put her foot on brake and with it still on the break truck began reversing and do not stop till we ran over a mailbox. We even tried to turn wheel.
Cruise control was set at approx. 62 mph driving on the Interstate. An exit was taken and coming down the off ramp the truck would not slow down. It seems the brakes did not disconnect the cruise control. Brakes were both pumped and firmly depressed. No response when the gear shift was placed in a lower gear. The electronic system did not shut off after the ignition was placed in the off position. An inspection is warranted, expected and welcome. This was a Sudden Unintentional Acceleration (SUA) incident/accident!!! Numerous other vehicles were placed in danger while crossing a major intersection. Two fire trucks responding to an emergency were passed at 50 miles an hour. Many other occupied vehicles and individuals at an apartment complex were in danger of being killed or injured. As of right now the vehicle has not been inspected by the insurance claims adjuster, so right now it has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center (but is welcomed to be done). The vehicle or components have not yet be inspected by the manufacture, police or insurance representative (but I would be willing to allow it). There was no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. It was totally unexpected and a complete surprise.
I was in an accident and the automatic braking sensor did not kick in even though there was a vehicle directly in front of me. As a result, my collision warning never sounded and the active braking feature of my vehicle never engaged.
The F150 was in a Park position while running in our driveway and lunged forward hitting our 2022 Toyota Highlander causing over $11,000 in damage on bother vehicles. ($1,428.69 Truck/ $9,000 estimate for Highlander). The vehicle was taken to Mooresville Ford on June 21, 2023 (earliest appointment available for this issue) to evaluate and repaired the transmission and transaxle. (Currently a class-action lawsuit was filed (Orndorff, et al. V Ford Motor Company concerning this same issue). We believe either this malfunction caused the F150 to unexpectedly lunge forward or another malfunction caused the F150 to lunge forward. We called Ford Headquarters and was told to file a claim with our insurance company. Very Unresponsive! We recently discovered a recall "where a partially seated clip may allow the transmission to be in a gear stated different from the gearshift position selected by the driver. this could allow the drive to move the shifter to Park and removed the ignition key, without the transmission gear actually being in Park. The vehicle could move unintentionally. (Article by Jimmy Dinsmore, April 7, 2020 in Torguenews.com). Also, in some cases the complainants have reported the gearbox slip and enter Park from Drive, stalling the engine. This issue has also caused the truck to lunge forward, causing unintended acceleration. (Article in Carhp.com March 9, 2022). We strongly believe one of the above named issues caused our vehicle to lunge forward causing over $11,000 worth of damage and would like to be reimbursed. We have had no luck with Ford and would like help from you.
We had a lady turn In front od us and we ran into her. Front-end of truck damaged and pushed back towards doors. No airbags deployed, no collision assist warning went off.
Right rear axel snapped just at the outside of the axel bearing The vehicle felt like it was shaking for about 4 seconds, at the same time the following warnings appeared, Antilock Brake Fault, Hill Start Assist Warning, Tire Pressure Warning, Hill decent control fault, Pre Collision Assist Not Available. The vehicle was traveling on I-293 left lane at high way speed, cruise control set. The vehicle tilted and made a near 90degree turn to the right heading towards the MerriMack River, Manchester NH. Poor steering control almost zero, brakes failed, shifted auto trans to lowest gear. Aimed for snow wind row to stop or reduce speed. came to rest at the right lane separation zone for ramp @ 6.3 mile marker. Towed to LondonDerry Ford, Londonderry NH Vehicle inspected by State Farm Insurance for body damage unable to see underside damage except snapped axel. Inspected by by Londonderry Ford for underside damage. Vehicle body damage set at an estimated 11,731. Front wall of bed box all rivets snapped. Accident Date 06 Feb. 2022 @ 07:30 vehicle mileage at time 10,672 vehicle date in service 27 Feb 2021 Filed complaint with Ford #CAS35691689 Carrie at Ford Factory claims spec. 8665676518 ext.76792. I inspected the axel at the break point on both halfs, judging from visual inspection and photo enlargement the axel appears to be a poor casting with a discoloration in the center pock marks over aprox. 80% of the face area of the break. The road conditions were dry and clear, straight road, snow plow row to right, traffic light. All lug nuts tight and in place. ** I believe it is note worthy that Ford is taking responsibility by running axel failure through Warranty and body damage through General Council. They refuse to place this in writing, they are also urging that I let them run it through Sate Lemon Law, to me it sounds like they want to hide it. Another exact same failure at AutoFair Ford Manchester NH as of 3/31/2022 sounds fishy to me. ,

FORD TEAM, ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 24TH I HAD A MAJOR SAFETY MALFUNCTION WITH MY 2020 F-150 I BOUGHT THIS PAST SUMMER IN MENOMONIE WI. DESCRIPTION ON THE INCIDENT: I PULLED MY TRUCK OUT OF MY GARAGE TO PULL MY ATV TRAILER OUT. ONCE THE TRAILER WAS PULLED OUT, I STARTED MY TRUCK BACK UP AND PROCEEDED TO PULL IT BACK INTO THE GARAGE. WHILE COASTING IN, I PRESS THE BRAKES TO STOP THE TRUCK AND THE ABS KICKED IN AT THE REAR TIRES KEPT DRIVING MY TRUCK FORWARD. I ENDED UP SLAMMING INTO MY WORK BENCH WHICH IS ATTACHED TO MY BACK WALL. I REMEMBER LOOKING DOWN AT MY PEDAL AND WONDERING WHY THE TRUCK WAS STILL DRIVING FORWARD WHEN THE BRAKES WERE PRESSED. I HAVE PULLED INTO MY GARAGE HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND THIS TIME WAS NO DIFFERENT. I KNOW WHAT THE ABS FEELS LIKE AND THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. THE TRUCK TRIED TO OUT POWER THE ABS AND DIDN'T STOP UNTIL I HIT. I HIT SO HARD THAT THE GARAGE SHOOK AND ITEMS WERE FALLING OFF MY SHELVES. THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE I INCURRED WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF I WAS JUST COASTING INTO THE BENCH. TALKING TO A CO-WORKER HE STATED THIS HAD HAPPENED TO HIS DAD IN THE PAST AND SAID THERE MIGHT BE AN ERROR IN THE CODE, SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT STILL BEING IN HIGH IDLE AND THE ABS KICKED IN. IF THIS ERROR CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED I'M NOT SURE I FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS TRUCK ANYMORE. MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF ONE OF MY KIDS WERE IN FRONT OF ME. PLEASE TROUBLE-SHOOT THIS ISSUE AND FOLLOW UP WITH THE CAUSE AND HOW MUCH DAMAGE AS BEEN DONE. THANK YOU, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).”
AS I WAS BACKING INTO A SPACE THE BACKUP CAMERA MALFUNCTIONED (WENT INTO STATIC LINES AND THEM BLACKED OUT) I BACKED INTO A POLE AND DENTED THE BUMPER.
The rear differential exploded while driving without warning. immediate lose of power while traveling 70mph, the explosion blew some hot parts of the differential off the road and started a brush fire.
