The antilock brake system locked up causing me not to be able to stop the vehicle .The shift gear froze up .When I put my foot on the brake pedal it was frozen, I could not control the pedal Also the shift level gear did not work presenting a safety hazard when I tried to put it in park. The Sudden Transmission Downshift which was a safety recall happened There were no warning lamps or lights prior to this incident. The accident caused me to total my vehicle My safety was at risk I injured my leg, I filed a police report I also filed a claim with the Ford company which they quickly denied stating that the recall on the parts had expired I only had liability insurance and my truck was a total loss. I hope I'm still in the time frame to put in a claim
I had just gotton on route 5 north from the Agawam rotary. After I merged onto route 5 I drove a short distance then I heard a loud noise from the rear of my vehicle. Immediately after the loud noise my rear end kicked out and I lost complete control of my truck. I hit the brakes and tried to slightly counter steer and I still had absolutely no control over the truck. I then proceeded to go over a straight edge bridge curbing and then a bridge guardrail. I did not hit any potholes, their were none and I was driving in a straight line at approximately 40 mph. My truck was hanging over the bridge.
I was proceed up to 45mph, when back tires started sliding. I rolled the truck and damage my ribs, was pined for 1.5hrs lost a $80k+
I was driving at approximately 30 mph when the transmission's OSS (Output Speed sensor) suddenly malfunctioned, causing an unexpected downshift into first gear. This abrupt shift led to a loss of control, resulting in a harrowing collision with a tree. What I witnessed next is etched into my memory forever: a scene of blood, fluorescent white bone fragments, and shattered glass strewn all around. Bones were even protruding through my skin at various locations, including my wrists, forearms, legs, and ankles, not to mention the dislocated shoulders. Thankfully, there were no other individuals present at the scene; otherwise, the outcome could have been equally disastrous, if not fatal, for them. Astonishingly, there were no discernible warning signs such as unusual sounds or dashboard warning lights prior to this incident. Following the accident, my pickup truck was towed to Cedar Park Wrecker, only to be swiftly claimed by the insurance company and subsequently sent to auction within a matter of days.

Safety belts have become locked & unusable after a collision. The seat belts on the driver and front passenger side will not pull out from the retracted position. Vehicle was inspected by State Farm Insurance & Caliber Collision, in connection with Boggus Ford Dealer, & all have determined that this is NOT collision related. This decision was made because the front passenger seat was unoccupied at the time of collision. Therefore I am reaching out to whoever will listen, this vehicle is no longer safe to drive as it apparently has a potential deadly defect.

2012 FORD F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE GEAR MOVED FROM PARK TO REVERSE TWICE, SINCE HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER 2012. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT CAUSED APPROXIMATELY $5800 DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, PLUS DAMAGE TO LANDSCAPING PROPERTY OF A BUSINESS. THE CONSUMER STATED HE PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND LEFT IT RUNNING. WHEN HE WENT AROUND THE TRUCK, HE SAW THE TRUCK STARTING TO MOVE IN REVERSE. HE RAN AROUND TO THE TRUCK, OPENED THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND TRIED TO CLIMB INTO THE TRUCK, TO STOP IT, BUT WAS KNOCKED DOWN TO HIS KNEES AND CAUGHT BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE DOOR JAMB ON THE TRUCK. HE WAS DRAGGED TO HIS KNEES FOR SEVERAL FEET, BEFORE HE DECIDED TO LET GO DOWN AND ROLLED AWAY FROM THE TRUCK. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED IN REVERSE FOR APPROXIMATELY 75 FEET BEFORE RUNNING UP OVER A CURB AND DOWN AN EMBANKMENT OVER TWO TREES, SOME SMALL BUSHES AND DESTROYING 30 ' OF VINYL FENCE BEFORE COMING TO A REST. ON OCTOBER 1, 2012, THE CONSUMER BACKED THE TRUCK INTO HIS DRIVEWAY, PLACED IT IN PARK AND EXITED THE VEHICLE, AND LEFT IT RUNNING WITH THE DRIVER'S DOOR OPEN, WHEN SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE STARTED MOVE BACKWARDS. The rear-window defroster over heated on the passenger side causing that window to chatter. At one spot at the bottom, the rubber frame around the glass started to melt and burn just before the window chattered. If I had not been standing close to see what was happening, and turn the control off, I believe this could have started a fire that could have burned the entire truck and areas around it threating people and property. This is also a safety concern for anyone sitting in the back seat at the time of window chattering, as small shards of glass could hit passengers possibly causing eye and other injuries. Due to my incident, I did research on YouTube an other Ford forums that document many others being a victim of this same problem over several years including 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and maybe more. Owners over the years have documented and informed Ford about this problem, apparently without any trucks being recalled or getting much help from Ford about this problem. Ford and NHTSA should be concerned and Ford held accountable for this defect. Many owners were told buy the service men that replaced their back glass because of this issue, that this was quote a "common problem caused by the defroster" on this trucks. If there are "safety concern" that yell "RECALL!", this is for sure one of them.
On 22MAY2022 I started my vehicle and started pulling out of a parking space when I lost braking power. The failure resembled a similar issue I had in the past when the electronic vacuum pump failed and the brake pedal felt hard and required significant additional effort to bring the vehicle to a stop. The electronic vacuum pump and fuse has been replaced by the dealership previously. The unexpected brake failure caused me to roll farther than I wanted and hit the rock on my passenger side, rear door, causing minor body damage. Ford Customer Service said Customer Satisfaction Program 15N05 is a one time replacement and this vehicle is no longer eligible for the program since it has already been serviced. Additionally, they said any repair associated with this event is limited to 15N05 so body damage would not ne covered.
