EJECTION OF PASSENGER DURING ROLL OVER ACCIDENT AT 40 MPH WHILE SEAT BELTED INTO A 1999 MODEL FORD F150 FOR WHICH THE PASSENGER SEAT BROKE LOOSE FROM THE FRAME. *TR
WHILE SEAT BELTED INTO THE PASSENGER SEAT OF A FORD F150 MY SON WAS EJECTED IN A FRONT IMPACT AND ROLL OVER ACCIDENT. THE SEAT BROKE LOOSE FROM THE TRUCK FLOOR DURING THE IMPACT ALLOWING HIM TO COME OUT OF THE SEAT BELT AND BE EJECTED OUT ONTO THE ROADWAY CAUSING SEVERE INJURIES. *TR
IN A 45 MILE AN HOUR ROLL OVER IN A FORD F150 MY SON AS A PASSENGER WEARING HIS SEAT BELT WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING GREAT BODILY HARM. THE SEAT ASSEMBLY BROKE LOOSE FROM THE FLOOR FRAME, SEAT BELT BROKE AND HE WAS ALONG WITH THE DRIVER EJECTED THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR WHICH OPENED DURING THE ROLL OVER. AFTER EJECTION OF THE PASSENGERS THE TRUCK TRAVELED OVER A SMALL BANK INTO A STREAM BED AND EXPLODED INTO FIRE. *TR
BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER CAPTAIN CHAIRS HAVE ARM REST THAT CAN RELEASE THE SEAT BELTS. THE PASSENGER LOADED THE ARM REST ON THE P-SIDE WHICH PRESSED THE RED RELEASE BUTTON CAUSING THE OCCUPANT TO BE EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE DID NOT UNLATCH BUT WAS KILLED WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPENED. CW *LA *SC THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER AND THE ARM REST RELEASED THE SEAT BELTS. *JB
WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15MPH & RAN RED LIGHT. HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE ON RIGHT SIDE. CHECKED OTHER VEHICLE & RETURNED. STARTED TO MOVE F150 & WAS TURNING STEERING WHEEL. AIR BAG POPPED (PUFFED) OUT, ON FIRE, & FELL INTO DRIVER'S LAP. DID NOT EXPLODED LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO DO. MJS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 FORD F-150. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO AVOID HITTING A DEER, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED OFF THE SIDE OF A 20 FOOT HIGH BRIDGE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A MINOR HEAD INJURY AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 TO 60 MPH ON ICY ROAD CONDITIONS AND CRASHED INTO A HERD OF CATTLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE VISIBLE PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGER RECEIVED MINOR ABRASIONS AND BRUISES. THE POLICE WERE CALLED, BUT DID NOT ARRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED, BUT HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 167,000. UPDATED 03/29/11 *BF UPDATED 05/06/11
MY SON WAS DRIVING HIS 99 F150 SOUTHBOUND ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY, GOING ABOUT 50 MPH WHEN HE HEARD A POP, AND THEN THE TRUCK WENT OUT OF CONTROL. THE REAR OF THE PICKUP BEGAN TO TRAVEL LEFT ACROSS THE HIGHWAY. IN THE NORTHBOUND LANE, IT BEGAN TO ROLL OVER, DRIVERS SIDE FIRST, FINALLY LANDING UPRIGHT AT THE LEFT EDGE OF THE HIGHWAY, THEN SLID DOWN AN EMBANKMENT FRONT FIRST IN SOME TREES. THE LEFT REAR AXLE HAD FRACTURED AND SNAPPED AND THE HUB AND WHEEL HAD COME OFF. THANKFULLY, HE AND HIS GIRLFRIEND SUFFERED NO PERMANENT INJURIES. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED SORENESS AND THE PASSENGER HAD TO HAVE A STAPLE PLACED IN HIS HEAD AS A RESULT OF NOT BEING PROTECTED BY THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN AFTER THE CRASH. THE DEALER DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE AND THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
SEAT BELT RELEASED DURING ROLLOVER CRASH. *JB
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 45 MPH. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MANUFACTURER WILL BE NOTIFIED BY OWNER.*AK MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. *TT
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH. UPON IMPACT, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. DRIVER SUSTAINED THROAT AND HIP INJURIES WHEN HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL. ALSO, PASSENGER'S HEAD HIT THE DASHBOARD AND SUSTAINED A KNOT. *AK

1 WEEK BEFORE TIRE HAD BLOW OUT OF SAME SERIES ON RIGHT SIDE REAR THAT TREAD SEPERATED FROM SIDE WALL. DT
WHILE FOLLOWING OTHER VEHICLES, THEY STOPPED FOR A TURNING CAR AND WHEN I APPLIED MY BRAKES NOTHING HAPPENED. I WAS PRACTICALLY STANDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO RESULTS. MY TRUCK PLOWED INTO THE BACK OF ANOTHER TRUCK WHICH THEN HIT A THIRD VEHICLE. I WAS INJURED AND THE TRUCK I HIT WAS TOTALLED. DT

I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD AT APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL CAME OFF OF MY 1999 F-150, CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASH INTO A VEHICALE PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET. THE IMPACT CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE I STRUCK AND SEVERE DAMAGE TO MY TRUCK AND CAUSING PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL INJURY TO MYSELF.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 25 MPH ATTEMPTED TO STOP VEHICLE, BUT BRAKES FAILED. TRUCK CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE, CAUSING 2 PASSENGERS TO BE TAKEN BY AMBULANCE - NO OTHER INFORMATION AS TO WHAT INJURIES THEY RECEIVED. DEALERSHIP HAD PREVIOUSLY EXAMINED VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES FOR COMPLAINTS ABOUT BRAKE SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP HAD REPLACED BRAKE PADS/ ROTORS, AND BRAKE FLUIDS.
