A HALF AN HOUR AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE INSPECTOR INDICATED THE FIRE ORIGINATED FROM THE IGNITION/ STEERING WHEEL COLUMN AREA.*AK *TS *JB
WHILE STOPPED AT A LIGHT, WE WERE REAR-ENDED BY A 1984 CHEVROLET VAN. BOTH PARTIES IN THE TRUCK WERE WEARING A SEATBELT AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. BOTH FRONT 50/50 BENCH SEAT BACKS, ONLY ALLOWED TO FUNCTION LIFTING FORWARD, COLLAPSED BACKWARDS. THIS CAUSED TWO PASSENGERS TO FALL BACKWARDS TO THE EXT. CAB PORTION OF THE TRUCK, WHERE NORMALLY OUR KIDS SIT. AT ONLY 6'0" TALL, MY HUSBAND'S HEAD WENT THROUGH THE BACK WINDSHIELD OF THE TRUCK CAUSING NECK AND BACK INJURIES.
VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SEAT COLLAPSED, RESULTING IN INJURIES.*AK

ON TWO OCCASIONS CONSUMER BRAKE LOCKED ON HIM CAUSING AN ACCIDENT THE SECOND TIME HE TOTALED HIS CAR . TT
BUMPER RECALLED, HAD DONE, BUMPER FELL AND HAD AN ACCIDENT. TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 FORD F-150. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE BRAKES FAILED. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 239,106.
FUEL TANK LEAKED DUE TO RUST. TRUCK WAS DIAGNOSED BY A DEALERSHIP. *AK *NLM

THE 4WHEEL DRIVE, U/JOINTS AND DRIVE TRAIN HAVE GONE OUT ON THE TRUCK 4 TIMES, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS NEVER WORKED RIGHT FROM DAY ONE AND HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WITH COMPLAINTS BUT NEVER FIXED (AUTOLOCKS ON DOORS AND WINDOWS DON'T WORK AFTER HEAVY RAIN OR WET, HEAVY SNOW STORM) THE LAST TIME THE 4WHEEL DRIVE WENT OUT, THE FRONT DRIVERS WHEEL FLEW OFF THE TRUCK WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. LUG NUTS AND POSTS WERE NOT LOOSE NOR SHEARED OFF. UPON CONTACTING FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE EACH TIME TRUCK TAKEN IN, HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE HAVE BEEN "NO" RECALLS OF ANY TYPE ON OUR VEHICLE EXCEPT FOR ONE TO CHECK THE BOLTS ON THE FRONT BUMPER. THE FOLLOWING HAVE SHOWN OCCASSIONAL PROBLEMS SINCE 1993, BUT HAVE CONSISTENTLY BECOME WORSE WITH THE AGE/MILEAGE OF TRUCK: INTERMITTEN WIPERS DO NOT WORK, DIMMER LIGHT AND OTHER GAUGES DO NOT WORK IN DASH. THE TRANSMISSION HAS A LOT OF BACKLASH/KICK WHEN PUTTING INTO GEAR. THE IGNITION AND ALTERNATOR ARE CONSISTENTLY GETTING WORSE, SOMETIMES IT TAKES TURNING THE KEY UP TO TEN OR MORE TIMES TO GET THE TRUCK TO START. CURRENTLY, ONCE THE ENGINE GETS HOT, THE TRUCK SPITS AND SPUTTERS, ALMOST KILLING WHEN YOU SLOW DOWN AND THEN ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. THE TRUCK RECENTLY HAD A COMPLETE TUNE-UP AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL PARTS WITH FORD AUTHORIZED PARTS.
WHEN PARKING VEHICLE THE ACCELERATOR SUDDENLY WENT TO THE FLOOR. DRIVER PLACED BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE BUT VEHICLE CONTINUED UP AN INCLINE INTO A STAIRWELL AND BUILDING. THE FLOOR MAT WAS DETERMINED AS THE CAUSE OF PEDAL STICKING BUT DRIVER IS UNSURE.
WAS DRIVING APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THERE WERE NO BRAKES; FELT FUNNY, COULDN'T STOP, HIT A DITCH AND HIT MOUTH ON THE STEERING WHEEL THIS WAS ON DRY ROAD . *AK

HAD EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE RECALL DONE, USED BRAKE, VEHICLE ROLLED ANYWAY. PLEASE PROVIDE DEALER INFO. *AK
