THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED BUT WAS UNCERTAIN. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A FATAL HEART ATTACK. THE DRIVER RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THIS PICKUP TRUCK, OWNED AND OPERATED BY A PUBLIC UTILITY, WAS INVOLVED IN A LOW SPEED FRONT END COLLISION ON A CITY STREET. THE INCIDENT INVOLVED THE FRONT BUMPER OF THE F-150 MAKING ABRUPT CONTACT WITH THE REAR BUMPER AND TAILGATE OF A NISSAN FRONTIER PICKUP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE DRIVER OF EITHER VEHICLE AND NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED INITIALLY. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE COLLISION, THE TRUCK WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE IGNITION WAS SWITCHED OFF, AND THE 4-WAY FLASHERS WERE TURNED ON. THE KEYS WERE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION AND THE DRIVER EXITED THE VEHICLE TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION WITH THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE. WHILE THE DRIVERS WERE EXCHANGING INFORMATION, APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES AFTER THE COLLISION, THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. WITHIN A MINUTE OR TWO AFTER THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUCK ERUPTED IN FLAMES, WHICH WERE REPORTED TO HAVE STARTED IN THE AREA BEHIND THE FRONT SEAT CONSOLE. THE INSIDE OF THE CAB WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES, AND THE FIRE SPREAD TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND BED. THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED QUICKLY, BUT THE TRUCK SUFFERED SEVERE FIRE DAMAGE.

I recieved a Text message months after this happened. They knew about it a month prior. I could have saved alot if they had done there job. Nit following procedures. It says in writing. I was coming to a intersection, proceeding to stop, and it would not let me. I was standing on the brake peddle with both feet( I am 275lb, 6'7 ,) I ran into back of van, was Sued, and my insurance went up. I lost not one but 2 raptors to the same issue. The contact's boyfriend owned a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while her boyfriend was driving 60 MPH, the transmission downshifted unintendedly, and the vehicle jerked, causing the contact's boyfriend to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into the rear of another occupied vehicle. The contact was unsure whether the air bags were deployed. The ambulance transported the contact and the other driver to the hospital, where it was confirmed that no major injuries were sustained and both drivers were checked out of the hospital. The contact stated that both her boyfriend and the other driver sustained body pain. Both vehicles were towed and totaled. A police report was filed. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V444000(Power Train), which the contact related to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH on a two-lane highway, the vehicle seized on low gear and the rear of the vehicle seized. The ABS did not engage to bring the vehicle to a stop, the rear remained seized causing the contact to rear-end the vehicle in front. No air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a fractured finger, head, and back injuries that required medical attention via the hospital. Due to cost, the contact could not continue his medical treatment. The other vehicle was able to be driven from the scene and the occupant sustained unknown injuries that required medical attention but no further information was available. The vehicle was driven home after the crash. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the frame was repaired and replaced the damaged front end parts. The vehicle was repaired. The contact mentioned that the transmission was previously rebuilt approximately 3-4 years ago with AAMCO due to an undetermined failure with an unexpected downshift into first gear. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was serviced for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V444000 (Power Train). The contact was concerned that the failure would recur. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 150,000.

The vehicle failed to start after waiting for some time before it restarted.  While driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle was sputtering. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the higher-amp fuse 27 was burned. and the fuse was relocated. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to the NHTSA hotline. Additionally, the contact stated that while at a stop light, an unknown Toyota crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained injuries to his back and neck, and medical attention was provided. A police report was filed. There was no fire.  The vehicle was taken to a body shop, where it was diagnosed that the trailer hitch, transfer case, and differential needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

2014 ford f150 raptor, built in 11/13 in Dearborn Michigan plant. Driving down wet highway in slow lane doing 55mph, speedometer goes to 0, airbag light illuminates, odometer changes to dashes, wrench light comes on, transmission downshifted locking up my wheels. My truck is totaled and i could have died. Another car is totaled as well. This is the same defect as the 09-13 recalls. Speed sensor in lead frame failure. RECALL SAFETY NOTICE 16S24/NHTSA RECALL16V-345 I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK ON 8/1/15 BECAUSE I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BREAKS AND OTHER THINGS AND THEY KEPT IT FOR 2 WEEKS WORKING ON IT REPLACED EVERYTHING AND IT WAS GOOD WELL I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS AGAIN AND CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING WAS OK THAT IT PROBERLY JUST NEEDED A BATTERY THEN AROUND MAY 15TH THE FORD DEALER CALLED AND SAID THAT THE TRUCK HAS ANOTHER RECALL ON THE BREAKS AND THE PARTS THAT THEY REPLACED ALREADY AND WOULD BE CALLING SOME TIME IN JUNE TO BRING IT IN WELL ON JUNE 5TH I WAS COMING HOME FROM WORK AND MY BREAKS WENT OUT FOR A SECOND TIME THIS TIME I WAS NOT SO LUCKY WENT OUT OF THE ROAD OVER A 15 TO 20 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND SIDE SWIPED A TREE AND BARELY MISSED A GUARD RAIL AND WENT DOWN INTO A CREEK COULD NOT GET THE TRUCK TO STOP THE ONLY THING I COULD THINK TO DO WAS SHUT THE TRUCK OFF TO STOP IT I WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF NOT BECAUSE I WAS HEADING FOR A BIG TREE AND WOULD HAVE HIT IT HEAD ON . THE MAN THAT CAME TO GET IT OUT SAID THE BREAKS WERE OUT AND HE HAD IT SHOVE IT UP INTO PARK TO KEEP IT FROM HITTING SOME ONES HOUSE. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE FORD DEALER AND PUT IT ON SPEAKER PHONE AND ASKED IF THEY HAD GOT THE ARTS IN TO FIX THE TRUCK AND THEY SAID NO THEY DID NOT AND THEY HAVE STILL NOT CALLED TO THIS DAY.

THE TRUCK LOST CONTROL AND WENT INTO A GUARD RAIL, THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, THE REAR END OF THE TRUCK CAME AROUND AND THE TRUCK BEGAN TO FLIP. ONCE THE TRUCK CAME TO A STOP THEY HAD TO CUT THE ROOF OFF AND WINDSHIELD TO GET US OUT. I WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL AND MY SON FOLLOWED WITH THE SHERIFF AND OUR DOG. THERE IS NO EXPLAINATION TO WHY THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE CAME OFF WITH ONLY A FEW MARKS AND FULLY INTACT. THE MYSTERY TO EVERYONE IS WHY IS THERE ONLY HALF A RIM??? THE RIM WAS OFF THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH THE TIRE BEING OFF THE RIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE SHERIFF LOOKED ALONG WITH OTHER PEOPLE TO NOT FIND THE OTHER HALF THE RIM. THE TOW TRUCK COMPANY LOOKED TO SEE IF THE HALF RIM WAS THERE BUT CANNOT FIND ANYTHING. THE TRUCK AT THE MOMENT IS AT BULL DOG TOWING IN SOUTH CAROLINA (803)865-3800. THE CLAIM IS BEING HANDLED BY HANOVER INSUARANCE - [XXX] - 1-800-628-0250 EXT. [XXX] - CLAIM # - [XXX]. I DROVE MY F-150 ECCOBOOST TRUCK TO THE SNOW, SAME AREA I HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND SUDDENLY SMOKE BURST FROM THE ENGINE, THEN FLAMES SHOT OUT AROUND THE HOOD, POPPED THE HOOD AND FOUGHT THE FIRE FOR HALF AN HOUR, IT KEPT RESTATING. IT STRANDED MYSELF AND CHILDREN, AND WE HAD A HARROWING EXPERIENCE THAT WAS PRETTY DICEY. FORD HAD JUST PUT IN A NEW ENGINE, AT MY COST, +14,000.00, AFTER THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED. THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR IT AT THEIR COST, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE COPIES OF THE FAULT CODES FROM BEFORE THE FAILURE OF THE TIMING CHAIN THAT DESTROYED THE OLD ENGINE. THE NEW ONE HAD UNDER 10,000 MILES ON THE NEW ENGINE, PROBABLY ABOUT 5,000 MILES ON IT. WE HAD DRIVEN ON THE RELATIVELY FLAT GRADE MAINLINE ROAD, AND DROVE UP ABOUT 0.8 MILES, CLIMBING MAYBE 400 FT ELEVATION OVER THAT DISTANCE. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF TURNING THE VEHICLE AROUND WHEN THE ENGINE BURST INTO FLAMES. IT WAS ON A GRAVEL ROAD. WE HAD TRAVELED FROM HOME, 35.2 MILES.

They have a faulty master cylinder on the brakes causing brake issues. I was driving down state road 80 after hurricane Ian and a car slammed on its brakes in front of me because a vehicle lost a load off of their tailgate. I slammed on my brakes but I didn't break very well. It was very squishy into the floor and I relied on distance. The brakes gave a little assistance
