When put into drive, vehicle unexpectedly accelerated. Could not control or stop the vehicle. The vehicle is no longer available for inspection. The inability to stop the vehicle put myself and other drivers and pedestrians at extreme risk. I am not aware if the vehicle was inspected for cause after the incident. No warnings or symptoms presented themselves at the time of the incident.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN WHICH THE VEHICLE STRUCK A POLE DEAD CENTER ON THE FRONT BUMPER, SPEED APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, COLLAPSING THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS ACCIDENT RESULTED IN FRACTURES TO RIBS, STERNUM, AND 2 VERTEBRAE.
TAKATA INFLATORS???? INVOLVED IN A FRONT IMPACT COLLISION, THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I RECEIVED MINOR LACERATIONS ON BOTH MY FIGHT HAND AND LEFT ARM FROM DEBRIS FROM THE AIRBAG. ONE SMALL PIECE WAS STILL EMBEDDED IN MY RIGHT HAND. OTHER THAN THE DEBRIS, THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT WAS AS IT SHOULD BE.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DECLARED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I RECENTLY WAS INVOLVED IN A MULTIVEHICLE ACCIDENT IN WHICH MY 2010 FORD F 150 TRUCK WAS TOTALED. I WAS THE PERSON WHO CAUSED IT. HOWEVER, I DON'T BELIEVE I WAS AT FAULT. THE CONDITIONS AND SYMPTOMS WHICH I ENCOUNTERED ARE CONSISTENT WITH CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. I BELIEVE IT LEAKED INTO THE CAB. CO IS AN ODORLESS COLORLESS AND TASTELESS GAS. I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS AND DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT HAPPENED. THIS WAS THE 4TH TIME I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS AND EVERY TIME IT OCCURRED I WAS DRIVING THIS 2010 FORD F-150 TRUCK. ALSO, THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY CHEST STILL HURTS!

I WAS INVOLVED IN A LOW-SPEED 45 MILES A HOUR FRONT END COLLISION. I WAS IN A FORD F-150 4 DOOR 2-WHEEL DRIVE. MY SEAT BELT WORKED GREAT. THE AIR BAG WENT OFF BUT DID NOT HIT ME IN THE FACE. THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK WAS CRUSHED BADLY BUT WITH NO FLUID LEAKS. AFTER THE WRECKER PULL MY FRONT BUMPER FREE FROM MY FRONT TIRES I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK BACK HOME ABOUT 100 MILES. ALL SYSTEM WORKED GREAT. THE TRUCK SHOWED THAT THE FORD SAFETY SYSTEM WORKED WELL. I HAD NO INJURIES EXCEPT FOR MY LEFT HAND. AND THAT IS THE COMPLAINT. WHY WOULD FORD OR NTSB ALLOW A FORD DESIGN THAT NOT ONLY CAN HELP SAVE A LIFE BUT FOR SURE WILL INJURE THE VERY PERSON THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE. BEING A ENGINEER MYSELF I BELIEVE THEY COULD DESIGN THE TEAR PATTERN, WHICH IS THE PROBLEM, ON THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG SO THAT IT DID NOT FLY OPEN LEFT & RIGHT AND INFLECT A SEVERE BLUNT FORCE INJURY TO MY THUMB BY THE FORD EMBLEM. THE INJURY IS JUST LIKE I WAS HIT WITH A HAMMER ON MY THUMB. IT DID NOT BREAK MY THUMB BUT A SEVERE SKIN BREAK AND BRUISE THAT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO HEAL. I HAVE PICTURES IF THAT WOULD BE OF HELP. THE PASSENGER REACHED FOR THE TOP HANDLE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR JUST AS THE VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED. AS A RESULT, THE PASSENGER'S RIGHT THUMB WAS COMPLETELY SEVERED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BRUISES AND CONTUSIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. OUR 2010 FORD F-150 PLATINUM TRUCK CAUGHT FIRE WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HE HAD TO JUMP OUT OF THE CAR TO SURVIVE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE GAS TANK CAUGHT ON FIRE AND THE ENTIRE TRUCK WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND COMPLETELY BURNED UP IN A FEW SECONDS. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE BURNED OUT TRUCK AND A VIDEO OF THE LAST PART OF THE FIRE.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after exiting a store and entering the vehicle, the contact secured the seat belt, depressed the brake pedal, and shifted into reverse(R), and the vehicle unintendedly accelerated across the parking lot. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was not depressed during the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle came to a stop after crashing into a guard rail, stopping the vehicle from driving into a pond. The air bags did not deploy. There was no injury sustained, and medical attention was not needed. There was no Police report filed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.
Both side airbags deployed with a small damage accident where the vehicle hit a concrete barrier at a low rate of speed. Body shop professionals stated that this deployment should not have happened with the damage to the back bumper corner of the f150 truck. Yes, inspected by tow truck driver, insurance and body shop professionals. All state that air bags should not have deployed. No warning lights
The vehicle was placed in 4 wheel drive (high range) and operated normally. Stopped the vehicle and placed it back into 2 wheel drive (indicated on dashboard as in 2 wheel drive). Placed transmission setting into "Park" but did not apply emergency brake. Turned off engine and exited vehicle. Vehicle proceeded to roll backwards down a slight hill until it crashed into tree (damage was limited to body panel). In summary, although the transmission was in park, it acted like it was in neutral. After several attempts of placing the vehicle in and out of 4 wheel drive, it did reestablish the Park mechanism. I have been able to recreate the situation with it continuing to fail.
Driving at 5 mph in traffic. Truck suddenly pulls hard right and involved in a glancing blow to a vehicle next to me. Steering wheel then was able to wobble loosely in 3 dimensions with no effect on tire direction. Had turn wheel at least 20 degrees rotation before feeling any engagement: a clunking sound and extremely hard steering with minimal tire response. Truck had to be towed from the accident scene. MANY reports of same problem seen via internet search Several lawsuits noted with various model years. Ford dealer states the steering column parts are obsolete.
STEERING COLUMN BROKE AT STEERING WHEEL KNUCKLE LEAVING IT UNABLE TO STEER. MADE WITH CHEAP PLASTIC CAUSING WRECK. I WAS ON A COUNTRY RD WERE I VEERED INTO A BRIDGE COLUMN
AT HIGHWAY CRUISING SPEED, WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, THE TRUCK SPONTANEOUSLY LOCKED UP THE WHEELS AND WENT INTO AN UNCONTROLLABLE SKID OFF THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY INTO THE DITCH AND UP THE EMBANKMENT. THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHICH FIXED IT FOUND A COMPUTER ERROR CODE P0975, AND THEREFORE REPLACED FORD PART NUMBER 9L3Z7A100C:CONTROL ASSEMBLY-TRANSMISSION. NO BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEMS, AND NO REAR END DIFFERENTIAL PROBLEMS WERE FOUND. THE TRUCK WAS DRIVABLE AFTER THE ACCIDENT. IF THE TRUCK HAD ROLLED OR STRUCK AN OBSTACLE, FATALITIES COULD HAVE RESULTED.
THE TRUCK WAS PARKED FACING DOWN ON A MODERATE HILL. WHEN THE TRUCK WAS STARTED AND THE SHIFT LEVER MOVED FROM PARK TO DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION REMAINED LOCKED UP (STILL IN PARK) AND THE VISUAL GEAR SELECTOR INDICATOR DID NOT ILLUMINATE SHOWING ANY GEAR SELECTED. AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND THE SHIFT INDICATOR ILLUMINATED IN THE GEAR SELECTED. APPLYING GAS DURING THE "PAUSE SHIFT" PERIOD RESULTED IN A RAPID AND UNCONTROLLED ACCELERATION WHEN THE SHIFT OCCURRED AND THIS RESULTED IN A SIGNIFICANT ACCIDENT. AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE TRUCK WAS EXAMINED BY A FORD DEALERSHIP TECHNICIAN AND THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULATOR (TCM) WAS REPROGRAMMED.
MY FORD F150 XLT WAS PARTED IN MY DRIVE WAY, LAST DRIVEN AT 9.00AM ON 8/29/2014. THE VEHICLE WAS ENGAGED IN PARK, STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND KEY FULLY WITH DRAWN. AT AROUND 5.00PM VEHICLE TOOK OFF ITSELF WITH OUT DRIVER WENT DOWN THE STREET AND HIT ANOTHER PARKED VEHICLE CAUSING BIG DAMAGES TO THAT VEHICLE AND AS WELL TO FORD 150 THAT I OWN. I HAVE SEVERAL EVIDENCE OF PEOPLE AROUND MY STREET WATCHING THIS HAPPENING. MY PURPOSE OF THIS COMPLAIN IS: 1. THE DEALERSHIP SAN LEANDRO FORD IN CA 94577 DIDN'T RESPOND MY COMPLIANT- MY REQUEST WAS TO FIND IF THERE IS RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. 3. MY BIG CONCERN IS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY, WHETHER THIS VEHICLE HAS FACTORY AND HAS TENDENCY TAKE OFF WHEN FULLY PARKED AND DISENGAGED. I BELIEVE WE WERE JUST LUCKY IT DIDN'T HIT CHILDREN PLAYING ON THE STREET OR DIDN'T RUN IN TO SOME ONE'S HOUSE. 4. I PARKED THE VEHICLE, REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, AND WENT INTO MY HOME. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, AND WHEN I WENT OUT, THE VEHICLE HAD ROLLED DOWN THE ROAD APPROXIMATELY 75 YARDS AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. *TR
