We were in a serious car accident. We were T-boned and rolled two or three times. We had to be pulled from the upside down Grand Cherokee. Our complaint is the fuel fill line broke and poured 23 gallons of raw gasoline into the car. My husband was overcome by the gas and and to be revived twice. I had blacked out due to the force of the air bags. We were okay with now, we were removed before the car exploded. The gas should have never entered the cabin!!! If our experience could help someone else we would be relieved.

I was in a head on collision with another car. None of my airbags deployed. The fire department and police department were concerned and shocked that they did not deploy. They cut the wiring to the battery for fear it would deploy late and I was injured in the car with a firefighter holding my neck. My car was a total loss.

On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency braking system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start initially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.
I was in a car accident and the airbags didn't deploy. Car was declared a total loss.
The engine would randomly accelerate , rev and make a whining noise, slip into neutral and I would have to pull over and shut it off sometimes in an unsafe area. Occasionally when I would start the engine it would rev as though I had my foot on the gas and I would shut it back off. I was traveling on the highway approximately 70 mph and cancelled the cruise control to go around a curve and pressed on the gas to merge into 70 mph traffic on another highway, and nothing happened. When I got to the end of the ramp the car was going 32 mph with my foot to the floor on the gas panic stricken. Suddenly the gas engaged and I shot into the traffic trying to avoid me. I took the car home, parked it in the garage and called a local dealership for service explaining the problems I was having. I went to resume my trip in a friends car because I was frightened to drive mine. While I was away my partner went to move the car a few feet to get to the trash barrel and when he put it in reverse the car shot 8 feet at high speed out of the garage and hit a tree. He went to the hospital and the car was taken on a flatbed to the dealership where I purchased it. There is considerable damage. The acceleration problem happened at least 15 times and I have several adults that were in the car and witnessed it. Chrysler did the diagnostics and said there is no defect. I would Never attempt to drive the car again and if I traded it in then an unsuspecting person could be hurt or killed in it.

The contact stated that the vehicle's front end frame was bent to the right and that the front bumper and driver's side light had fallen off of the vehicle from the crash impact. The contact stated that his wife was shaken but was not injured. The contact stated that the side impact and driver's side air bags had not been deployed. The police arrived on the scene and issued a report. The contact had the vehicle towed to his residence. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure of the driver's air bag to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V199000 (Air Bags, Steering). The failure mileage was approximately 5,900.
My vehicle was stopped for several minutes on an upgrade, with stopped cars in front of me due to a traffic jam. I needed to keep pressure on the brake, lest my car roll backwards. After about three minutes, brake pedal lost pressure and my foot went to floor. The engine then went into gear and my car rammed car in front. Engine stalled on impact and was hard to restart. Vehicle currently at Jeep dealer awaiting inspection from Stellantis tech team. This situation reported to their customer care center. No warning lights appeared on dash prior to crash. Indeed, this could have been a more serious accident. I will never trust this vehicle again, and intend to take steps to exit my lease.
I accidently backed into a tree when my parking warning system and blind spot warning system didn't work. Damage to my vehicle was to the right rear quarter panel, bumper, tailgate and tail light. It was only after the accident occurred, that I found out that Jeep had a recall for the rearview camera visibility system. I feel that Jeep should be responsible for the repairs. My insurance company advised me to file a complaint with you and also with Jeep before they become involved. Please advise me as to what steps I should take. When slowing down at a stop sign, in snowy conditions, the vehicle went into brake assist and locked the brakes up. Causing the vehicle to slide at an interesting and collide with another car. I had complained several times to the dealer about the braking system being to sensitive and touchy before the accident. This was purchased new and the accident happened about 1800 miles on it. Also, the air bag did not deploy. I was told by the dealer, it was because the impact was not hard enough. But the alerts on my phone, said air bag failure Since the accident, I have had this jeep back to the dealer several times. I asked for a full brake inspection, because I have never driven a vehicle that 1- brakes for you for no reason, 2- extremely touchy. The dealer service dept admitted the brakes were touchy, and drove an identical model to compare, and concluded that it must be normal. Didnt actually inspect them. It is NOT normal, and I do not feel safe driving this vehicle in the winter. I have since turned off all brake assist options in the settings, but it is still auto braking. Today at about 3000 miles, when slowing down to make a turn, the emergency braking system started acting up with no one close to me. There is something very wrong with this system, and needs to be addressed before serious injuries happen.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED AND IT EXPLODED.
I have had 2 incidents in which the 2nd row seat belts on either of the end seats fails to release. The first incident resulted in a seat belt being wrapped around the headrest and unable to release. I had to take the car to a mechanic for it be undone resulting in a broken headrest. This was in May 2024. Today the seatbelt was stuck around my child's abdomen. The seatbelt got tighter around his stomach and he tried get out of it. I parked the car and tried to get the seatbelt to release and it refused to. It continued to get tighter and tighter making it difficult to breathe. I had to call 911 for assistance on the side of the road. 2 police officers had to help me lift him and get him free- the entire time the seatbelt refused to release. My son has bruises and scratches from trying to get out and now is terrified to wear a seatbelt. There is something wrong with the mechanism for the seatbelt that does not allow it release. I am now scared that if we are in an accident and the seatbelt tightens across someone's chest or one of my children's neck that I won't be able to get them out in time. This has been reported to Jeep who advised that I fill out this form.
Making left hand turn through 4-way intersection. Car opposite of us also making left hand turn. Our Grand Cherokee collision system thought the two vehicle were going to collide and locked the brakes in the middle of the intersection almost causing a 4 car accident. This is the second time this has happened since purchasing 06/03/23. Driver neck injury sustained. Seeking medical attention. Jeep is currently at the dealership where they are trying to reproduce/diagnose with no success. Multiple online articles found showing complaints of this EXACT issue proving it's not isolated to our vehicle. I am reporting a systemic safety failure involving a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee sold as a "Certified Pre-Owned" (CPO) vehicle. Despite the mandatory 125-point CPO safety inspection, the vehicle was delivered with multiple safety-critical defects that should have prevented certification. Primary Safety Risks: Suspension/Stability: The vehicle exhibits vibration and instability at all speeds, resulting in a loss of steering stability and difficulty maintaining lane position at highway speed. Tire Integrity: The vehicle was sold with dry-rotted tires, indicating structural degradation that poses a high risk of catastrophic failure/blowout. Electrical/Powertrain: The Auto Start/Stop system is faulty. Additionally, the paddle shifters are non-functional, which interferes with manual gear selection and driver control over the powertrain. The selling dealership has refused to acknowledge these defects or bring the vehicle into compliance with manufacturer safety standards. Furthermore, Stellantis Corporate has failed to provide a safety compliance review. These mechanical and electrical defects existed at the time of sale and represent a failure of the CPO safety process.
July 31, 2024, purchased a new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summitt (Hybrid) from local Chrysler/Dodge dealer in Las Vegas Nevada. Keeping this very high level, after the 3rd day the vehicle would not start. The dealer sent technician to our home however finally had to be towed to the dealer. The dealer inspected the vehicle on several occasions while continuing to work directly manufacture, however after weeks had been advised the parts did not fix the issue. Opened case (xxxxxxxx) with parent company of Chrysler (Stellantis). week after week customer service said they are working on the issue. Finally, at around 45 days we had to buy another vehicle based on need for transportation. Along the way we make vehicle & insurance payments every month. Additionally, we received a recall notice that the vehicle was subject to a fire. Do not park in or around buildings. At the 80-day mark we advised the dealer to get us out of this vehicle. Dealer said the vehicle is now a used car so must face deprecation plus loss of down payment. Based on no fix to original problem and risk of fire. Stellantis advised now that we do not own the Jeep, we are not eligible for any assistance or compensation for loss and thus Cased closed.
